I earned my Bachelor's in Music from E.T.S.U., now known as Texas A & M Commerce. Notice the caliber of students in the program from music majors to other majors that just come in for choir. Commerce does not have the train wreck students that Richland is bringing into their program. The auditions there weed out those who do not have the background and training to succeed. The first semester of theory and stringent requirements for MUAP weed out more immediately. Junior barriers are looming from day 1 and everyone knows what is expected of them. Richland is just throwing warm bodies in chairs and stringing along music students that are not able to meet the standards of a real school of music and some who are clearly not attending class and doing the required work. The program is a complete mess.

Note that Fundamentals of Music is not offered at any real school like this. These students come in with a record of success and ready to work hard. They will start with Theory 1, 2 MUAP hours and 1 ensemble while they prove themselves. The top singers will audition for the Chamber Singers, opera and musical productions as they matriculate through the program. No Sophomores there will be drowning in over 100 hours of crap. Richland Music Advisors have destroyed the program and harmed so many trusting students.
