I was at Richland and left with a vocal scholarship to E.T.S.U. I graduated from there and have hours toward a Master's in Music and a second Master's in Russian history. I suggest you have your paying parents read the links I provided, and have them go with you to the Transfer Center at Richland.   • my parents aren’t involved with my education so there is no need. I appreciate Ms Logan’s guidance and am here to stand by her decisions as they have helped me in the past. She knows what she is doing and is only helping me in my journey to transferring. Sorry it didn’t work out for you, but they are helping many other students.

Melissa Logan has no clue what she is doing as the posted records here clearly show. Logan doesn't need to be playing junior high school and mothering these adults. They need to see real advisors and go to the Transfer Center. Her babying them and registering them for excess hours that are not on any degree plan and not transferable, can run them out of financial aid at Richland and put them in out of state tuition at a 4 year Texas state University is not helping them.

How is this student going to graduate and secure a teaching position with such a poor command of the English language? Richland needs to bring in a new department head and choral director and clean up this horrific mess. The advising is inexcusable. And, the fact this mess was not handled back in November and it is now having to be discussed publicly to get appropriate action and make those in need of this information aware of it means the music department is going to be a hostile environment for those who are doing the right things and speaking out about issues that need to be addressed. The advising and other serious issues in this department have been ignored for way too long.

This student's comprehension is not good either. I graduated with a Music Degree and hours toward two master's degrees. I don't want my child or anyone else to have to pay out of state tuition or quit college due to not being able to pay their tuition because dishonest and incompetent advisors were using these students to fill Richland College Music chairs.

This following student was advised by both Melissa Logan and Derrick Logozzo. I suggest all of the students and parents follow how this student and all the other students who were advised do in the future. Where will they transfer to and will they be able graduate? What will they do when the bill for out of state tuition comes?
