Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Anyone who has been watching the Forex and online investment websites for any length of time would realize there's a push on from certain quarters to invest in the Iraqi dinar.
For months. if not years, amateur forex fortune tellers have been predicting squillions of dollars are to be made by purchasing the Iraqi dinar (from them and their mates, mostly)following a predicted revaluation of the Iraqi dinar.
They've even taken to calling themselves "gurus" and maintain a web forum on which they expound their theories and look into their crystal balls: Dinar Guru - Iraqi Dinar | Gurus predict iraqi dinar exchange rate & revaluation
Unfortunately, their predictions have regularly turned to male bovine excreta.
It IS a great source of entertainment, however, to watch them scramble around predicting and then retracting their theories
Every weekend for the past few years has been "the time" when trillions of dollars are going to be made.
I recommend any readers of REALSCAM.com who are feeling laid low and depressed take a few minutes to have a good belly laugh as they read the "gurus" of DINARGURU.com
WARNING: The management of REALSCAM.com strongly recommend readers do NOT eat or drink for at least an hour before attempting to view DINARGURU.com due to the very real risk of choking and/or ruining your keyboard and/or monitor after reading some of the predictions you are about to see.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Oh Dear,
here it is, Friday morning and ANOTHER week has passed without an Iraqi dinar revaluation. (or even the sniff of a revaluation, for that matter)
How many years does that make it now ?
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
If it were not so sad it would be very funny. So many people have been hoodwinked into believing that the Iraq Dinar will make them million airs for a paultry 1000.00 investment. I've been following this for a few years and it never ceases to amaze me that the sheeple will still believe the drivel that the so called guru's spout. Day after day, week after week, year after year they have been wrong. I mean would you really take investment advice from people who don't even use their real names?
Now or at least for a year or so many Guru's have started other so called businesses related to the dinar, hedge funds, off shore accounts, isx investment advice and all for a non refundable one time fee of x amount of dollars. Well I guess this is america and anyone can make money but to sell out people the way these people have is awful. What goes around comes around eventually.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Welcome aboard, shela.
You're exactly right.
If it wasn't so sad, it WOULD be funny.
It's all too easy to lose sight of the fact there ARE innocent people being ripped off here.
Not everyone involved is a "guru" or a fraudster.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Sigh,
yet ANOTHER week has passed and STILL the gurus are predicting a revaluation "any day now"
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Another Sunday night,
another revaluation no-show.
And yet ANOTHER weeks' worth of predictions from the DINAR GURUS
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
I'm compiling a list of the dinar pumpers on my blog. This site has been a big help. You won't believe what all I'm uncovering.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
I remember this scam crashing over Ebay in waves, back in 2002 or 2003. I pointed out, rather pointedly, to some of the promoters that Iraqi laws prohibited export of their national currency. They didn't listen, of course.

Except for the comic relief value, why in the H*** would someone want predictions from somebody so wrong for so long cluttering their email...?

Yeah,
it's not exactly a hobby which would keep you occupied every waking moment, is it ??
"Hmmnn, what will we do today?
Watch paint dry,
watch grass grow,
or wait for the Iraqi dinar to revalue"
Personally, I'd go with "Watch grass grow"
at least then, you'd end up with something more than you started with.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Guess what ??
You guessed it:
Sunday again
no revaluation AGAIN.
Somebody with a mathematical bent should work out how much money the gurus would have made if they'd deposited their money in a plain old bank account back in 2003, instead of buying up big on Iraqi dinars as they did.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Hi guys. I'm new here but I've been reading on this forum for awhile. I'm looking into a few possible dinar related scams. The first is the GET Team's charity TCBCaring Hands, a supposed 501C3. I was told by somebody that they're actually an LLC. How would I go about checking on that? These guys are dirty, I'm pretty sure. On the charity site they actually give instruction on how to donate dinar. The second thing I'm looking into is Adam Montana. I posted a photo of a couple on my blog that I think might be Mr. & Mrs. AM. The reason I want to establish who he is is so that I can disprove some of the claims that he has made about himself, such as being a Harvard grad, having a CPA wife, having made money on the Kuwaiti dinar, and passing the Series 65 Investment Adviser exam. I think his offshore stuff is a scam but until there is an RV I guess technically he's not breaking any laws. Anyway, the third thing is the identity of this guy Tony Breitling. I know that his last name isn't really Breitling and he says that he lives in Nevada. This guy does tons of videos and runs a blog. A lot of people are under the impression that he does all of this just to help out fellow investors. Seriously, nobody spends that much time researching and taping and blogging just to be a nice guy. He's pumping the lower denoms and I'm sure he's getting a cut from dinar dealers too. There should be some way to check his ID from his blog Iraq Investments. Or maybe from his ebay account. Once we ID him I figure we'll find that he has some sort of criminal record. Thanks for any input.

Wel-l-l-l... according to Excel handy dandy calculator, $1000 at 3% annual interest compounded daily for 8 years would return $349.84 interest, plus your principle returned. That can be stated as the "opportunity cost" of sitting around with a suitcase full of little scraps of paper with pretty pictures on them...!
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Now here is a spin on this subject, as pimped by my fave forum operator, Mutt, in an e-mail from his scam forum:

I guess you could call him a reverse dinar guru...! ( Offhand, I'd say if brains were explosive, he couldn't blow his nose...!)
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
WOW !!
Luckily I remembered another week has passed without a sniff of a change in the value of the Iraqi dinar
I'd hate to miss the one where the dinar DID revalue.
The good gurus, however, haven't skipped a beat.
They're still predictin' away over at their little DINAR PREDICTION GURU HAVEN
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Here it is, Sunday October 23, 2011.
Which means ANOTHER week has passed without any sign of a revaluation of the Iraqi dinar.
It also signals ANOTHER week of unfulfilled predictions at what DinarGurus.com calls: The World's Largest Archive of all your favorite Guru predictions
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
Sunday, October 30, 2011.
I don't suppose anyone has seen anything at all happening WRT the Iraqi dinar revaluing this week.
NO ???
Hmmnn, I guess that means ANOTHER week has passed.
Anyone see a pattern developing here ??

Must be one of the advantages of living in the US.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
I guess there's very little value in pointing out the bleedin' obvious fact that yet ANOTHER week has passed without even the sniff of an Iraqi dinar revaluation.
Neither does there seem much point in informing readers the geniuses (genii ???) over at DINAR DODOS.com are STILL saying it'll happen any minute now.
Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.
How can't anyone see that after 2 months, much less how long they have actually been scamming, that these assclowns are only there to steal money?

That's why there has always been pressure applied so that people buy dinars NOW, before it's too late.
When folks have money invested, no matter how small the amount, they're far less likely to simply walk away.
Same reason a used car salesman will ALWAYS suggest a potential buyer leaves a deposit to "show good faith" or some such bogus reason.
It's simply amazing how many people get stitched into owning a car they can't afford and years of payments rather than lose their deposit.
(Or hang on to the revalued Dinar malarkey) rather than cut their losses.
