Alan Sills, Alansills.com. Knowlegeable business builder, or dangerous to your wallet?
One of the things the internet has ushered in is the U-TUBE GURU who claims to have an answer to all of your financial ills. Most of what I have seen in my short time online is a recruiting type scheme. A person puts up a video, maybe a website like AlanSills.com | Adding value and support for the entrepreneur and small business professional, then tells you about a great deal, for a fee you can get in. Of course they earn a commission from your entry into the program. The actual program itself seems almost secondary, just has to sound good.
In these two videos Al Sills promotes his affiliate link to the Elevation Group. Those who have read these pages know all about Forex Scams and returns of 100%+, in fact anyone who has been around knows if it sounds to good to be true, it is. I will save the reader the suspense of how it turned out, but think a train wreck meets your wallet.
One of the things an astute reader will notice is the absence of negative or skeptical comments on many of the videos. All aces as they say, but here is the not so secret trick. The people who manage these channels simply delete and block anyone who dares question their great opportunities. Al has blocked several friends of mine from his U-Tube Channel, so as they say, it is time for home court advantage.
I am left asking several questions... Is this person qualified to evaluate business opportunities? Does this person think these are legitimate businesses opportunities? Does this person know they are promoting scams and not care? Or does this person, know a good thing and only want to get you in on the deal?

“During the relevant period, IIC and Pousa have accepted at least $53,000,000 from an estimated 1,500 investors in the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and Singapore. They have done so by using emails and sophisticated internet webcasts, and webinars sent directly to investors via their websites… Pousa has also solicited investors for his fraudulent scheme through a third-party website called The Elevation Group …
In May 2012, investors learned that Pousa’s offering was a massive fraud.”

A lot of good information on the web, including an awesome thread linked below on one Dinar Scam. I am all for asking questions, but who do you go to for advice and how do things turn out. If someone is asking you to "go in to business with them" do you know where they are getting their information? Almost all thing Iraqi Dinar Revaluation related have proved 100% false.

HUZBE is going to be the next big thing, just like Banners Broker will have Google Crying Uncle. Oh look an affiliate program.
Hubze is the brainchild of David Foster, CEO and is currently still in the pre-launch stage. As a company, it first started out being called "Moneza" but this was changed a week later as it was felt that its name implied that it was all about making money. It is a social networking tool that will give an individual access to all of their social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn with just one click of a button. Alongside this, the company are offering an affiliate program

Here is another big thing, YOLI, guess who is a/was a distributor? Admittedly I have held a few jobs in my life, some for years, and a one for just a few hours. But to claim to be a "work form home" blasy blah, shouldn't one be able to turn up some thins that have worked? Not worked for a year, or worked until recruits dried up, but an actual business that sustains itself.
Unless, and I am just speculating here, your whole income is based on recruiting, recruiting, recruiting.

This is an aside, completely unrelated, but it sure would be nice to know the terms being made on the reverse mortgages. This is an area rife with bad deals for seniors. So much so that the FBI has a warning about it. In fairness Al could be making these loans on great terms, just don't know.
Reverse Mortgage Scams
The FBI and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General (HUD-OIG) urge consumers, especially senior citizens, to be vigilant when seeking reverse mortgage products. Reverse mortgages, also known as home equity conversion mortgages (HECM), have increased more than 1,300 percent between 1999 and 2008, creating significant opportunities for fraud perpetrators.
Reverse mortgage scams are engineered by unscrupulous professionals in a multitude of real estate, financial services, and related companies to steal the equity from the property of unsuspecting senior citizens or to use these seniors to unwittingly aid the fraudsters in stealing equity from a flipped property.
In many of the reported scams, victim seniors are offered free homes, investment opportunities, and foreclosure or refinance assistance. They are also used as straw buyers in property flipping scams. Seniors are frequently targeted through local churches and investment seminars, as well as television, radio, billboard, and mailer advertisements.
A legitimate HECM loan product is insured by the Federal Housing Authority. It enables eligible homeowners to access the equity in their homes by providing funds without incurring a monthly payment. Eligible borrowers must be 62 years or older who occupy their property as their primary residence and who own their property or have a small mortgage balance. See the FBI/HUD Intelligence Bulletin for specific details on HECMs as well as other foreclosure rescue and investment schemes.
Tips for Avoiding Reverse Mortgage Scams:
Do not respond to unsolicited advertisements.
Be suspicious of anyone claiming that you can own a home with no down payment.
Do not sign anything that you do not fully understand.
Do not accept payment from individuals for a home you did not purchase.
Seek out your own reverse mortgage counselor.
If you are a victim of this type of fraud and want to file a complaint, please submit information through our electronic tip line or through your local FBI office. You may also file a complaint with HUD-OIG at Homepage | Office of Inspector General, Department of Housing and Urban Development or by calling HUD’s hotline at 1-800-347-3735.

So far, SOC is the only program in this thread that has not completely turned to crap. If this, like many of these deals were pitched as "you are going to hit the pavement and sell stuff" there would be a lot less skepticism on my part. Then if people wanted to go sell $30 milkshakes and $50 juice, they could have at it and know what they are in for. $30,000 to $50,000 is a solid income for full time work. But, its not exactly put your feet up and live here on a residual income type cash.
Attachment 6525
I agree with you on that part based on my reading of SOC, as not to seem like I am arguing on that point I made the line below. It should be a stand alone post, but its late and mixed a few thoughts. With AL, it is not just the opportunity, but the way he seems to do "business".
Al Sills has bunch of videos on SOC, in fairness people could watch them and see the way he presents it.
================================================== ===========================
In Al's advertisement above he represents the buy in for SOC as $1,000, that is one hell of an ante just to beat the pavement! Maybe Al is snowshoeing it around town closing deals on greeting cards, having choked down more than a few of Al's videos I don't see that. Looking at his BB Tripe above, $5,000 a month seems to fall from the sky. Now however, some of his comments surrounding Banners Brokers he almost blames the people who lost money in this scam. I think he is now calling it a "venture", which is a far cry from his previous shtick. All I have seen is someone who wants referral commissions and to hear himself talk. He does not seem to care if he is pushing Ponzi Schemes, fabricated banks, Forex schemes, as long a the commission roll in.
This was on his Facebook page just the other day, despite all the problems we know about Banners Broker:
Attachment 6528
Here is his video on BM. He like many in the pimp trade seem not to know what "slander" means. His tone to the commenter aside, if he is such a wizard of business, why is he not 100% sure this is not a Ponzi. (As a note, there are a few comments that were deleted by Al that were a little more probing) He is in touch with Chris Smith, is a master beta tester for the next version. Why as a business person has he not asked Chris to produce audited financial statements? Just seems to take the Gomer Pyle approach, sign up, and if you lose, well golly it was a venture.

Poor ol' Alan Sills is still living in the past when threats like this had some effect.
Can you imagine the high excitement there would be in the ranks of those who speak out against fraud if someone like Alan Sills or Chris Smith was actually foolish enough to follow through with the threats ???
The courts would be forced to hire Madison Square Garden to accommodate the number of media representatives who would fly in from around the world to see the inner workings of a fraud like Banners Broker explained in court.

Re: Alan Sills, Alansills.com. Knowlegeable business builder, or dangerous to your wallet?
So as I lay in bed last night, I realized I had forget all about a Gmail account that had not been banned by Al Sills. I thought it would be good to pose a few questions to him again. I want to set this up just a bit in my purpose of writing this thread, other than good fun and hearing the clack of the computer keys. If one were to buy any business, two very real documents to ask for would be tax returns and financial statements. Anyone who is asking you to invest, should willingly comply. (That is my opinion, other people may hear so and so is a good guy and write a check)
People like Alan Sills will come and go, but the methods for keeping your money out of harms way will always remain the same.
This has been asked previously, but where are the 1099s and tax filings from BB? Keeping in mind Alan Sills in one of his videos claims to have something like $300,000 in his account. Under US Tax law(and numerous other jurisdictions) this is fully taxable as earnings, even if it is left in the account. He PROUDLY made a video about it, where is the difficultly with providing proof of not only the earnings, but that he reported them to the IRS? Many "gurus" often talk about doing deals, but when it comes to producing proof they slither away.

Re: Alan Sills, Alansills.com. Knowlegeable business builder, or dangerous to your wallet?
Wanted to build on something I said yesterday. This may or may not be useful to a random reader of this blog about Alan Sills, Alan@alansills.com , Sills leadership, or whatever other names the man uses to pimp schemes. Taking a circuitous as I am apt to do, I am a big fan of American Greed on CNBC CNBC's American Greed: Scams, Schemes, and Broken Dreams, and really all things scam. A common set up is a person rolls in to town, seems to print money, everyone is happy, and poof one day it turns out to be scam. Or you have a sterling member of the community, think Madoff and poof one day same ending.
Yesterday I mentioned Tax returns and financial statements. If you are conducting true due diligence, the documents need to come from the source. For tax returns Form 4506 allows you to request a tax return be sent directly from the IRS. (Of course the person has to sign off) If you have done a mortgage, especially post 2009 this is what a many banks do. That way you get to see what the person actually filed. Most people will not exaggerate income to the IRS, unless they are laundering money.
The second thing is account statements MUST come DIRECTLY from an independent source. To be clear, if someone says they have $300,000 in an account, a screen shot or a document they give you does not suffice. It does not matter if someone is managing money or running a pretendy advertising platform. The point should be obvious, but that is the reference to American Greed. In almost all of the scams, the adviser/guru was producing their own statements.
Both of these guys have books with a little more information on how to suss out the details of an opportunity. I am pretty sure that not many who have read ether is not making videos on line promoting Ponzi schemes, or doing a cameo on American Greed.

Re: Alan Sills, Alansills.com. Knowlegeable business builder, or dangerous to your wallet?
A second quick one for the waiter or waitress who happens to show up wondering who was this man alan@alansills who chatted me up. I spent most of my high school and college years waiting tables, and had more than my share of 1:45 in this video. CREEPY!!! I say this with a straight face, if some random chats you up all nicey nicey and gives you a card they want one of two things, the first is likely Multi Level Marketing.
There is almost a statistical certainty you make more as a sever than the person who handed you the card makes in the business they claim they have. Every MLM is required to publish affiliate earnings, take them for what they are. If you are a super sales type person, there are plenty of things you can do, if you are not-- really take the stats seriously. And if you work near a hotel that holds pep rallies where these wackadoos roll in late, take up your whole station, demand separate checks, order toast, and leave you a tip that clinks, you have my sympathy.

MLM Scam Alert on Data Network Affiliates aka DNA makes Narc That Car look like Saints | MLM Help Desk
Now, let’s take a look at Data Network Affiliates aka DNA.
First red flag with DNA is the fact their website registry is hidden.

Record expires on 01-21-2011
Record created on 01-21-2010
Now let’s take a look at Dean Blechman As Its Chief Executive Officer, Chairman Of The Board & Founder:
There is no doubt he has an impressive background. However, there are a few things which are questionable.
Before Twin Lab was bought by Tony Robbin’s company, ISI Brands, a class action lawsuit. Now overall this isn’t a huge deal, except it shows a track record. Review Here
Then there is the issue of Mr. Blechman’s claim of “being an owner of Ideal Health aka The Trump Network. Well, Ideal Health terminated Mr. Blechman for running the company into the ground, then filed a civil lawsuit against him (Ideal Health .vs Blechman)
Then Mr. Blechman counter filed trying to move the case to fit his needs Blechman .vs Ideal Health
However, the Court did not see it his way and allowed it to be transferred to Massachusetts. (Review Here)
Now let’s take a look at Anthony Sasso As Chief Data Consultant to the Board. Now I want everyone to realize that nowhere does it state Mr. Sasso is an owner of Data Network Affiliates aka DNA or that he is an officer of the company. This in and of itself raises some new question.
What private agreements are in place for Mr. Sasso to use all the new distributor data for his others business, and/or sell it to other scammers, spammers, or use it himself? This concern was first raised by an article we found outside of the MLM niche, raising their own red flags as to the purpose of Sasso’s ultimate use of the data he collects. (Review Here)
Now, here is another concern we found. Mr Sasso is also the ceo of Text2WinLotto.com this raises two questions…
1. Will he use the data he is gathering from distributors and spam them for this new opportunity?
2. Is this his next deal when Data Network Affiliates goes south?
These questions are way to important to go unasked. If a perosn is giving up their personal info to someone who is seen not just as the data base king, but also the top sms spammer, then we have huge issues.
Ok, now let’s look at what DNA calls the “product”…Well there isn’t one. Her eis the exact phrase from the Data Network Affiliate website “As an independent affiliate with D.N.A. you are helping to build databases. With most Network Marketing Companies, reps are selling a product for the company, with D.N.A., we are Building the Product for the company and ourselves.”
This goes 100% against the rules of law already put into place. If there is no product or service being marketed by distributors to an end user (as in phase one) then DNA falls into the legal definition of MLM Pyramid Scheme. (Read Kevin Thompson’s book above)
Ok, the compensation plan. For some reason DNA feels they are protected because they are not charging a mandatory fee to join. However, just like Narc That Car, they are not providing the distributors a product to the end user to sell. Which means the only thing the distributors are selling is the opportunity.
Which means, even though they claim…

This does not change the FACT that the only money distributor’s are personally generating to place into the compensation plan comes from recruiting others into the compensation structure.

Yep, Piccolo was also behind True cash Network, and multiple others MLM scams.
search on "piccolo" also yelds a lot of results on Patrick's blog and on google.
And feds still think some fake brand lady bags demand all agencies to be doing nothing else than shutting down domains internationally.

Re: Alan Sills, Alansills.com. Knowlegeable business builder, or dangerous to your wallet?
Turns out Alan Sills of alan@alansills.com fame, master internet marketer and all around "excellent communicator" was pushing Prepaid Legal back in the day. I believe it is Legal Shield now, from pre-paid law plans to Forex to fake ad panels, seems there is nothing "excellent communicator" and modest molly Alan Sills won't pimp. To juxtapose this with something, it is similar to MCA in that yes it offers services, but the fees and benefits are disproportional. In the Rip Off report, you will see the come sell MCA comments lest anyone think MLM is not like a school of sharks all circling the same wounded seal.
On this one, I really am with Dave Ramsey, and would say the same about most "warranty" type programs, put in a big pile of savings and over time you most likely come out ahead.

Do I need pre-paid legal? Advice on Pre-Paid Legal - Dave Ramsey - CBN.com - Finance
Dear Dave,
Do you have an opinion on whether or not pre-paid legal is a product worth purchasing?
– Anika
Dear Anika,
I’m not mad about pre-paid legal. But a lot of folks who recommend and advocate it don’t like me very much, because I tell people it’s a bad idea. Here’s why: Pre-paid legal will cost you about $300 a year. If you take $300 a year, and multiply that out over 10 years, you’re looking at $3,000. The truth is that the average American consumer doesn’t spend $3,000 on legal bills in this amount of time.
Lots of people will tell you that you miss out on tons of opportunities by not having a lawyer ready to jump into things. That’s a bunch of garbage! Once in a great while you may need the services of an attorney, but think about this: If the average person spent $3,000 or more over the course of 10 years on legal bills, while pre-paid legal took $3,000 from each of these people, pre-paid legal would go broke, wouldn’t it? They’d be handing out more in legal services than they receive in fees!
On average, you’ll come out better if you self-insure by having a good emergency fund in place. That way, you’ll have the money to pay for legal services should the need arise. And part of the reason you’ll have the money in place is because you didn’t give it to someone else—like pre-paid legal!

Re: Alan Sills, Alansills.com. Knowlegeable business builder, or dangerous to your wallet?
Ok, so I stumbled upon this, maybe someone has some more insight in to the allegations, but I am running short on time. Here is Alan Sills offering some helpful advice on pain relief, but it isn't really helpful in the way most of us consider helpful. It is $30 for a tube of mystery goo, and guess who is a distributor? The allegations about the shark finning are pretty disturbing. If they actually kept the body of the shark, say to feed people, I might not find it so offensive. Ripoff Report | Good Life Sciences Japan, Dr. Zachary Guterman Complaint Review Internet: 826243

I was wrong bout the company that sells "Its Amazing", they also sell "Hair of the Dog Energy drink and Liver Cleanse". It is Good Life International LLC, not Good Life Sciences.
Sorry for the confusion, I try to put out good information.
Attachment 6658
My opinion based on a dearth of information is CLEANSING cleans one thing, the inside of your wallet. But don't take my word for it, the company itself DISCLAIMS any evaluated benefits, and suggests you speak with your physician. Just my opinion though, your wallet, your body.

This is what Uncle Al Sills is pimping:

Here's a question:
What happens if you sit in the bath after you have rubbed "It's Amazing" on your skin ??
If it magically transports ingredients deep inside your body, wouldn't you fill up with water and explode if you sat there long enough.

So I am not a scientist, barely passed Chemistry. In fact the only thing I really remember is how hot my lab partner was, and how little I impressed her. If only she knew one day I would be a blogger.
But you know who wrote a book about Earth Science? Earth Science the Easy Way (Barron's E-Z): Alan D. Sills: 9780764121463: Amazon.com: Books And I hate to nit pick but if someone SHOULD demand hard evidence before making claims, I would think it would be a man of the sciences.
At any rate, this guy seems to make a pretty good case, based on muh limited knowledge. And he is quoted by another source which is good enough for me to call bullshit....
---but we could compare oxygen in essential oils to atmospheric oxygen. Sea-level air contains 21% oxygen, and a 50 times greater concentration would be….well, impossible, as even five times would be more than 100%. Also, the predominant elements found in essential oil constituents are hydrogen and carbon, with oxygen, when it is found, a minor player. At best, a few essential oils might contain about the same concentration of oxygen as that found in the air. But that’s percent, not amount. There’s no way that essential oils could ever deliver as much oxygen as we inhale every time we breathe air.
