Type 2 Diabetes is now curable and has been since the 1950's

It turns out that Type 2 Diabetes has been curable since the 1950's, but the medical community didn't take it seriously until recent years, when a doctor Rubino confirmed in the laboratory with diabetic rats and bypassed their duodenum the lab rats were cured them of diabetes too. The cure is bypassing the duodenum, and that cures Type II diabetes irregardless of weight.

When Dr. Rubino restored the duodenum in the lab rats to it's original function; the type 2 diabetes returned just as it had been before.

The duodenum appears to be the root cause of Type 2 diabetes. The weight itself is not the root cause, but instead makes Diabetes far worse than it otherwise would be.

Type 2 diabetes is insulin resistance, Type 1 diabetes is Insulin deficiency.

The duodenal switch (DS) procedure, also known as biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch (BPD-DS) or gastric reduction duodenal switch (GRDS), is a weight loss surgery procedure that is composed of a restrictive and a malabsorptive aspect.

The restrictive portion of the surgery involves removing approximately 70% of the stomach along the greater curvature.

The malabsorptive portion of the surgery reroutes a lengthy portion of the small intestine, creating two separate pathways and one common channel. The shorter of the two pathways, the digestive loop, takes food from the stomach to the common channel. The much longer pathway, the biliopancreatic loop, carries bile from the liver to the common channel.

The common channel is the portion of small intestine, usually 75-150 centimeters long, in which the contents of the digestive path mix with the bile from the biliopancreatic loop before emptying into the large intestine. The objective of this arrangement is to reduce the amount of time the body has to capture calories from food in the small intestine and to selectively limit the absorption of fat. As a result, following surgery, these patients only absorb approximately 20% of the fat they intake.

The primary advantage of duodenal switch (DS) surgery is that its combination of moderate intake restriction with substantial calorie malabsorption results in a very high percentage of excess weight loss for obese individuals, with a very low risk of significant weight regain.[2]

Type 2 diabetics have had a 98% "cure"[3] (i.e. became euglycemic) almost immediately following surgery which is due to the metabolic effect from the intestine switch. The results are so favorable that some surgeons in Europe are performing the "switch" or intestinal surgery on non-obese patients for the benefits of curing the diabetes.[citation needed]

The following observations were reported on the resolution of obesity related comorbidities following the duodenal switch: type 2 diabetes 99%, hyperlipidemia 99%, sleep apnea 92%, and hypertension 83%.[4]

Because the pyloric valve between the stomach and small intestine is preserved, people who have undergone the DS do not experience the dumping syndrome common with people who've undergone the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery (RNY). Much of the production of the hunger hormone, ghrelin, is removed with the greater curvature of the stomach.

Diet following the DS is more normal and better tolerated than with other surgeries.[5]

The malabsorptive component of the DS is fully reversible as no small intestine is actually removed, only re-routed.

I've been reading that diseases, viruses, bacteria etc can NOT survive in an alkali environment.

Most of the foods and drinks we consume are acidic, which those organisms THRIVE in.

My mom has diabetes so I started searching some stuff, since the poison(prescription drugs) she was taking were only making her worse in a hurry.

I found watercure2.org, read through the material and tried it myself to make sure it was safe before I recommened it to her. I wasn't REAL overweight, but just by taking REAL salt(sodium chloride) and not the bleached and processed Morton crap and drinking water, I accidentally lost 12 pounds and had more energy than I've had in years! My mom unfortunately is STILL skeptical, and won't commit to trying it yet.

Sodium Choride plus water, and do some research on Alkali foods. Or even alkali vs acidity.

I watched a pretty good documentary on Youtube called "processed people" that shed some light on why so many of us are sick nowadays too.

I have also heard of the exact same claims by other health professionals, that a more alkaline body is a much healthier body. And that when we are born, our bodies are slightly more alkiline around a PH of 7.36

Notice how the diabetes is cured before the first pound is even lost. Clearly proving that the weight itself is not the real root cause of Type 2 Diabetes. But instead Type 2 diabetes is simply a disease of the duodenum.

Edmund, I watched the video an it certainly proved interesting. It did not confirm some of your hyperbolic claims, and the bulk of the video was on Gastric Bypass surgery. The less than 1% claim you made in a previous thread appears to relate to morbidly obese people who are eligible for bypass surgery actually receiving it. It was not, specifically relating to the Duodenum surgery the Dr. in Brazil was working on in lab rabs. That was a very brief section.

And all surgery carries risks, up to and including death. One of the things mentioned was suicide rates go UP after people have had bypass surgery. Then there is the cost of $25,000 per surgery which keeps it out of reach of many people. While it bears investigating, I don't know that we need Earl Schieb setting up bypass clinics across the US.

However there is a less expensive and much more safe alternative to surgery that was approved by the FDA back on October 30th,2012. It was developed by doctors in Chili called the duodenal sleeve, However the American medical community has a different meaning for sleeve so they renamed it the gastrointestinal barrier; which is basically an inflatable cylinder they insert into the duodenum and is just as effective as the duodenal bypass, but without the surgery. As long as food does not touch the duodenum Type 2 diabetes is instantly and permanently cured for as long as the barrier is in place. Doctors in Chili say it is just as effective as the duodenal bypass surgery but much more safe and less intrusive.

Here is my story about my experience with Type II Diabetes and what I have learned from that experience:

Diabetes is a Greek word meaning “Honey Urine”. Back in ancient times the way they determined that someone had diabetes is by seeing if their urine attracted ants. Normally urine contains salt, uric acid and ammonia; all the things that ants don’t like. However, if there was enough sugar in the urine, it would attract ants. And ever since then, it has been the prevailing opinion that eating too much sugar causes diabetes. And for thousands of years this has gone mostly unchallenged and unproven until recently.

My Grandfather along with all of his brothers and sisters and both of his daughters and my father all had Type II diabetes. My grandfather died of Type II diabetes on Thanksgiving Day in 1966 after eating Thanksgiving dinner at Wyatt’s Cafeteria and dying of Hyperglycemia (High Blood Sugar), his wife (my grandmother) wasn’t able to administer his insulin quick enough to save his life. For many years before his death he had seriously bad heart disease (another symptom of Type II diabetes). He would quite often have as many as 2 to 3 heart attacks per day and need oxygen and nitroglycerin to save his life. In spite of all of this, he was completely normal weight and never overweight; My Aunt Linda who lives in Harlingen, Texas has always been skin and bone and is also Type II diabetic. My sister-in-Law Carla is also very thin skin and bone, and a vegetarian; and she too is Type II diabetic.

The Country with the highest percentage of diabetics is India; and Indians are some of the thinnest people in the world, plus between ½ to 2/3rds of them are vegetarians. Statistically only about 33.3% of all type II diabetics are overweight and only 1% are obese (BMI > 35) from the data I’ve been able to dig up from several different sources. So if obesity is considered the popular opinion as being the root cause of diabetes, why is it the least common denominator? That is because obesity is not the real root cause of Type I or Type II diabetes, but instead obesity and being overweight simply makes the diabetes worse and only makes it seem like being overweight caused it. Thus misleading many to believe obesity causes Diabetes, when in a matter of fact it doesn’t cause diabetes.

My earliest memory of Type II diabetic Symptoms was when I was about 18 years of age and weighed in at 140 pounds at 6 foot 1 inch tall. Technically I was about 20 pounds under weight, but I also ran track and field and played interscholastic league Football. So I was a top lean thin and fast athlete, but this was also when I first noticed my first Type II diabetic symptoms which includes a brown diabetic rash on my feet and shins, an unexplained numbness in both of my thighs and psoriasis in my scalp that would never go away no matter how many times I washed with dandruff shampoo. Also when I went long periods without exercising; and then returned to vigorous exercise my muscles would be intensely sore by that evening and the next morning it was even worse, it felt like I got ran over by a Mac Truck. It would take 2 weeks’ worth of serious physical exercising before the soreness would go away. I was also tired and lethargic most of the time, and spent much of my free time sleeping and napping the days away. At the time I didn’t know what diabetic symptoms really were, but now I do after attending 15 years of diabetic education.

About 7 years after I graduated from high school and got married and started eating 3 square meals a day; I started gaining weight and my diabetic symptoms only got worse, my skin psoriasis got worse, it started to spread to my hands and feet and my arms over a period of years and decades, which later on caused rheumatoid arthritis in my joints. Along with the brown diabetic rash also spread and got worse. I began to snore so loud I would not only wake my wife up, but I would also wake myself up. I had developed sleep apnea too. Eventually I was diagnosed with this and got myself a sleep apnea machine that permitted me to sleep without snoring.

When I turned about age 38 I started to develop impedance and by age 41 I was diagnosed with type II diabetes with a fasting blood sugar of 256mg/dL. Any Fasting Blood Sugar above 180mg/dL is considered Diabetic. A perfect blood sugar should be 100mg/dL. My Testosterone level was a puny 192 when it should have been around 500. Low testosterone level is another symptom of Type I and Type II diabetes too and will cause both anemia and impedance. At the core of Type I and Type II diabetes is a cascade of hormone failures. This is why the official doctor that treats Diabetes is called an Endocrinologist; or an Internal Hormone Doctor.

I clearly had Type II diabetes and it was only getting worse as I kept gaining more and more weight. So I went on diets and exercise programs, but only to get clobbered with Hypoglycemia (low Blood Sugar). Hypoglycemia kills more diabetics than any other form of diabetic deaths. When your blood sugar drops too low you are just as dead as if your oxygen levels dropped too low. Sugar is your body’s gasoline and just like gasoline you need oxygen to convert sugar into energy in each of our cells. The only reason we breathe oxygen is because we need the oxygen to convert sugar in our cells into energy. If we didn’t need sugar we would have no need to breathe oxygen.

However, when the blood sugars get too high there are two primary things that go wrong, one is that your cells aren’t eating the sugar in your blood because there either isn’t enough insulin or there is insulin resistance on the insulin receptors of your cells. This means that your cells are starving to death with a body full of food and the blood viscosity is getting higher. Since Blood is 70% water, it should have the same thickness and viscosity as water at 100mg/dL, but as the blood sugar increases say to 180mg/dL it will have the same viscosity as Wesson oil, and as it increases even more it will increase to the viscosity of 30 weight oil, 40 weight oil, 50 weight oil, etc.,… And as the viscosity increases the blood has a harder and harder time passing through the microscopically small capillaries in your body, especially the ones in your feet that are getting smashed by the weight of your body. Some of these capillaries will become inflamed and some will even burst causing the brown diabetic rash mentioned earlier. This causes the blood to back up and your blood pressure to skyrocket. This puts a strain on your eyes, your heart, kidneys and liver; and over time will cause cumulative damage to all of them. At first it will not kill you, but over a period of months and years can cause enough damage so that a spike in blood pressure could trigger a heart attack or stroke.

My libido was also suffering significantly and left me less able to be romantic and able to fulfill my wife’s needs and my needs too. And after exercising my body would be extremely soar; and by morning I felt like I got ran over by a Mac Truck.

Every year there seemed to be some sort of medical emergency that would send me to the hospital caused by a diabetic symptom. One time it was pancreatitis, which landed me in the hospital for a whole week and cost over $100,000. But fortunately I had good health insurance to pay for it.

Another year I came down with Cellulites. I had really bad chills and fever, my leg felt like it had been beaten up with a baseball bat, but looked perfectly normal. My doctor had me check into Garland Baylor Hospital. So they put me on some antibiotics, Tylenol and fluids. After about a week they were going to release me from the hospital, and on the day I was suppose to go home my right leg swollen up to the size of a giant watermelon, and was extremely painful to the touch. I would scream my head off if anything touched my leg or if my leg touched the floor or anything else. So they took a biopsy and blood samples to see what was causing the infection. I had been to India about a month earlier and must of picked something up there maybe. But the labs couldn’t identify what it was, so they put me on mega doses of all kinds of antibiotics. The redness started to retreat, but eventually my leg started to decompose and deteariat. My right leg looked like it had been through a meat grinder a few times and was nothing more than hamburger meat on a stick.

The mega doses of antibiotics eventually caused my kidneys to shut down and cause me to only pass blood and protein in my urine. So they cut back on the antibiotics and eventually sent me to long term care at Plano Specialty Hospital. Where I spent the rest of my 6 weeks. I was in constant pain and agony the entire time, they put me on pain medication called Binladen every 4 hours as needed.

At this hospital there were many other diabetics with the same exact problems as me. All of which were diabetic and completely normal weight, some were skin and bone, but they all had either cellulites or other diabetic type infections. Everyone there at that hospital, where I was, lost their legs and or feet; except me. And I was the single most overweight and obese diabetic in that hospital. Many were even on dialysis. My leg eventually developed huge and large blisters running the full length of my right leg. It looked absolutely horrible, at times it was bandaged up, and other times it wasn’t. Ointments and medications were applied daily along with pain killers. I had so many different IV antibiotics and painkillers being applied they even inserted a Pick line into my right arm. This is a type of catheter that is more permanent and is placed directly inside a major artery directly up to and near the heart.

While I was at the Plano Specialty Hospital I underwent physical therapy to help recover from my cellulites. I would work out about 30 minutes a day at first, but as my health started to improve I tried spending hours a day exercising and walking as much as I could. My wife spent her entire time with me attending to my needs and providing for my needs.

While I was there the doctors and nurses recommended gastric bypass surgery, just as they had also done at Baylor Hospital, but I refused to take that risk and not be scarred with surgical incisions. I didn’t handle pain very well, and wasn’t about to get involved into that either. This 6 week hospital stay cost over $160,000.

When I would try to exercise, I could barely walk one lap around the track before I would be huffing and puffin like a freight train running out of steam. I couldn’t even walk 100 feet before I would need to sit down and rest. I had developed calcification of my heart muscle, hardening of the arteries and was coming down with a serious level of heart disease. I had not yet had my first heart attack, but after only walking a 100 feet my chest would hurt and breathing was almost impossible.

Eventually over the years I got tired of spending much of my year in hospitals for one problem or another; and decided to take a more aggressive treatment for fixing my diabetes and my obesity.
I consulted with Dr. Hodges at Barker Bariatric Center and discussed different procedures for treating my diabetes and obesity. The best recommendation was the Duodenal Switch which had the greatest success for Type II diabetes and weight loss. Average Weight loss was near 95% of expected excessive weight.

On April 23rd,2012 I weighed in at 380 pounds; so I had a duodenal Switch operation to lose 200 pounds of weight. The surgery was performed by Dr. Barker and Dr. Hodges.
But one of the side effects is that it completely cures Type II Diabetes even before the first pound is even lost. Along with about 18 different side effects caused by Type II diabetes; Including:

1) Insulin resistance Type II Diabetes of all cells is instantly cured

2) Type I caused by Type II diabetes is 80% of the time cured

3) Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar) is cured because the liver and pancreas feedback loop is restored.

4) Hyperglycemia (High Blood Sugar) is cured because the liver and pancreas feedback loop is restored, insulin resistance is eradicated and insulin producing cells can reproduce again.

5) Hyper-cholesterolism is reduced by 83%

6) High Blood pressure is restored to normal

7) Heart Disease is reduced by 92%

8) Non-Alcoholic psoriasis of the Liver is cured.

9) Psoriasis of the Skin is cured because Vitamin “D” malabsorption is eradicated.

10) Rheumatoid Arthritis is cured because Psoriasis is cured.

11) Gout is cured

12) Vascular damage of the lower limbs ends and heals over time

13) Neuropathy is cured.

14) Sleep Apnea is cured

15) Female Premature Menopause is cured and reversed, but not Male Andrea pause.

18) Type II diabetes Chronic Depression is cured

When I left the hospital 5 days later; I was off all of my diabetic medications, off all of my insulin’s, off all of my blood pressure medications and off all of my cholesterol medications as well.
A week after my Surgery I started taking Marengo as a supplement for healing the damage caused by Type II diabetes. As a result of the surgery I lost 105 pounds in the first 2 months. Because of the mal-absorption problems caused by this surgery I must take 120g of protein per day and take only chewable vitamins, because my digestive system is mostly bypassed and can no longer absorb meaningful amount of nutrients anymore. One year after the surgery I lost 152 pounds in all.

Now when I work out by walking, running and lifting weights I don’t feel soar later on, and when I wake up the next morning I feel great and fully rested. I no longer feel like I got ran over by a Mac Truck anymore. I can also run full laps around my Gym’s jogging track while passing up fellow runners, at the end of the run I’m not even breathing hard. It felt like I had walked the lap instead of running it.
2 months after the surgery my family doctor did a sonogram to check my heart and artery health and determined that the hardening of my arteries had completely cleared up and most of my heart disease as well. My Cardiologist also said I no longer need to take Renexa (Heart Medication) either. He says he has also seen the same results from other patience with the same procedure.

To better explain why this procedure works; we need to look at the 4 different types of diabetes and fully understand their causes, treatments and cures: First off, it is a common belief that eating too much sugar causes diabetes. This myth has been around for thousands of years and is still the predominate belief by most people and even those in the medical community. But recent research has shown that sugar no more causes diabetes than oxygen causes lung cancer. Not being able to metabolize sugar is a symptom of diabetes, not the real cause of diabetes. Any time you eat a fruit or vegetable you are eating sugar, so is being a vegetarian make you at high risk for diabetes? Not likely. So here are the most recent known causes and symptoms of The 4 different kinds of diabetes:

1) Type I Diabetes is insulin deficiency and only makes up between 10% to 15% of all diabetics; and is where the body’s immune system screw’s up and attacks then kills the insulin producing cells in the pancreas. This normally happens about 2 weeks after recovering from the measles or other serious illnesses. This is also known as Juvenile Diabetes, but anyone at any age can get this form of diabetes. When you get Type I diabetes you only have about 1 week to figure it out, then you are dead. Type I diabetes is the most dangerous form of diabetes and kills very quickly. Insulin is a digestive hormone that communicates a message between sugar molecules and cells, without insulin the cells can’t find the sugar in the blood and thus starve to death. Your cells only eat two things; oxygen and sugar. Pure refined Sugar is C12H22O11 which is nothing more than a bunch of water molecules connected together by Carbon Atoms, thus the name Carbohydrate. Carbohydrates come in many different forms: it can come with different kinds of vitamins and nutrients and with no vitamins and nutrients like in pure refined sugar; and because of this no cell in your body is smart enough to know what a sugar molecule is and still perform other tasks required of each cell, so insulin is produced by the pancreas to sort out the confusion and permit the cells to find and eat the sugar, then with help from a special enzyme combines it with oxygen in the mitochondria to produce energy. If the sugar molecule contains a vitamin or nutrient that energy is converted into work. If there are no vitamins or nutrients then only energy is produced and no work gets done. Effectively it is like running your car on gasoline but with no transmission fluid, your heater or air conditioner might work but your car isn’t going anywhere. Also in this form of diabetes the hormone glucagon is not produced either. So when the pancreas detects a drop in blood sugar levels it can’t send the hormonal message Glucagon to get the liver to make Glycogen (sugar made by the Liver). So Type I diabetics quite often die of low blood sugar more often than high blood sugar. Glycogen is produced by the liver on command from the pancreas by drawing from your fat stores in your body’s fat cells through your lymphatic system to make Glycogen and that is then converted into glucose (sugar). Normally your liver should be your primary source of sugar, not your food. But in a diabetic, most of their sugar much of the time comes from their food only. The treatment for this form of Diabetes is insulin injections. Insulin is a digestive hormone and their for; is a protein polypeptide molecule. Eating insulin would destroy the protein and thus the insulin. So insulin can only be injected.

2) Type II diabetes is insulin resistance and makes up between 85% to 90% of all diabetes and is therefore the most common form of diabetes. In this form of diabetes the pancreas is fully capable of producing more than enough insulin. And normally produces much more insulin than in none diabetics, but the problem isn’t with the insulin production, but instead with insulin resistance. All of the cells of the body have developed insulin resistance on their insulin receptors on the surface of the cells. This insulin resistance is worse on fat cells than other cells. So this contributes to ever increasing higher and higher blood sugars, which means the cells are starving to death and the blood viscosity is also increasing. Type II diabetics suffer from all the same ailments that Type I diabetics suffer from plus psoriasis of the skin and about 18 other problems. Normally people will get Type II diabetes and never know that they have it for a great many years until they start to gain weight and the symptoms become amplified to the point you realize something is wrong. Then your doctor will check you for diabetes and you and your doctor will convince yourself that your weight gain caused the diabetes. When actually you probably got the diabetes long before you gained the weight. Not everyone that gets Type II diabetes gains weight, only 33.3% do. The rest may be of normal weight or even flat out thin. In Type II diabetes the pancreas and liver hormonal communication feedback system is also broken because the hormonal receptors are also experiencing hormonal receptor resistance too. So it depends on what the last hormonal message was before this communication was broken dictates whether you will gain weight or lose weight. If the last hormonal message was Amylin the liver will stop making glycogen and never again draw from the fat stores to make glycogen, thus causing the fat to endlessly build up and cause you to gain weight. However, if the last hormonal message was glucagon, then the liver will forever be drawing from your fat stores in your fat cells to make Glycogen and you will become thinner. If you start taking the diabetic anti-insulin resistance drug metformin, the glucagon hormone message will be undone and you will start gaining weight again. Which sounds counter intuitive on its face, but the only way fat can leave the body is through the liver converting it into glycogen.

3) Type II + Type I diabetes is where if the Type II diabetes persist for too long and badly managed, the pancreas will eventually slow down its insulin production and you will then need to start taking insulin injections. This can also be triggered by the drug Glyburide which is a sulfide drug that stimulates the increased production of insulin in the pancreas. This will work fine for a few years, then your pancreas will be burned out and little or no insulin will be produced and you then become Type II + Type I diabetic. The worse of both worlds to say the least. However this version of Type I diabetes is different, the hormonal miscommunications caused by The Type II diabetes can also cause hormonal miscommunications in the pancreas and interfere with Insulin producing cell reproduction. So as you can see, this is not exactly the same kind of Type I diabetes mentioned earlier; where it was caused by a malfunctioning immune system.

4) Gustation Diabetes can only be caught by women when they become pregnant. Remember that Diabetes is a hormone malfunction and when the hormones are not at 100% functionality, this is a perfect time for Diabetes to occur. Pregnancy is the most hormonally intense process the human body will ever experience, and if the hormones aren’t working this can make for a very dangerous pregnancy. A woman may find herself spending her entire pregnancy in a hospital bed. Because having diabetes and being pregnant is very dangerous and life threatening. The good news is this form of Diabetes goes away right after giving birth. The bad news is you will probably come down with Type II diabetes for real in about 10 years’ time after giving birth.

In spite of these gloomy side effects of diabetes and the common belief that this disease is incurable, there is hope, because there are medical cures for Both Type I and Type II diabetes. But these cures have side effects that you need to weigh and compare to how your diabetes is currently affecting your life:

1) Type I diabetic cure is probably worse than the disease. It is called an Islet transplant and is only done on Type I diabetics that are on their death beds dying of diabetes. This is where they graph on a healthy none diabetic piece of someone else’s donor pancreas to the diabetic pancreas. In some versions of this procedure they may plant Islet cells into the liver instead. But then the diabetic patient has to live on immune depressants for the rest of their lives. Thus curing their Type I diabetes, but trading it in for medically induced AIDS. Only about 43 institutions worldwide perform this operation; and it has only been done on 471 patients to date.

2) Type II Diabetic cure was an accidental discovery about 60 years ago in the 1950’s. A surgical procedure was developed to treat gall bladder problems, duodenal ulcers, intestinal cancers, obesity and other digestive disorders, but whenever the first 12 inches of the small intestine called the Duodenum was bypassed or removed the Type II diabetic patients were instantly and completely cured of their Type II diabetes. At first the medical community ignored it and called it antidotal evidence and said it didn’t prove anything. Because the Medical Community had convinced themselves that obesity and overweight and bad eating habits caused Type II diabetes and after thousands of years of believing this they weren’t going to change their minds. The risk factor for dying from this surgery at the time was 1 chance in 200; today the risk factor for dying is 1 chance in 2000 and still improving. Compared to 1 chance in 3600 from dying in a car accident it isn’t much different. However as the years and decades passed more and more Type II diabetics were getting cured and the numbers of these cured diabetics were increasing. So about 15 years ago in the 1990’s a doctor in Europe decided to test these claims out in the lab that Bariatric Surgeons had been talking about since the 1950’s, and sure enough, he found that if he removed the first section of the intestine called the duodenum that the diabetic rats were instantly cured of their Type II diabetes as well. And when he restored the duodenum back to its original function, the Type II diabetes instantly returned back as it had been before. Other sections of the digestive system were removed and it had no effect on the Type II diabetes even after creating greater mal-absorption. Only when the duodenum was bypassed did the Type II diabetes completely disappear. And this procedure completely cures Type II diabetics regardless of weight. After surgery a very strict liquid diet is required for 6 weeks in order for the intestines to heal and the liver and pancreas to re-establish their communications. In Chili Doctors have developed a duodenal Sleeve that inserts into the duodenum (The first 12 inches of the small intestine) and prevents food from ever touching the duodenum and is as effective at curing Type II diabetes as the duodenal bypass or switch does. The duodenal sleeve doesn’t even require surgery; it can even be done in the doctor’s office in only a few minutes. They first have to knock you out then insert the sleeve down your throat and stomach and insert it directly into the duodenum. There is a channel on the outside of the sleeve that permits the gall bladder bile and pancreatic enzymes to pass outside of the sleeve, but food is completely prevented from ever touching the duodenum. And as long as food never touches the duodenum; Type II diabetes is completely cured. The FDA approved the Duodenal sleeve for use in the U.S. on October 30th,2012; but they have decided to call it the Gastrointestinal Liner. Because “Sleeve” in the American Medical community means something different.

3) Type II + Type I Diabetes is 80% curable for the Type I part using the previously mentioned procedures for Type II diabetes if it is caused by Type II, but 20% not curable if the body’s immune system got involved with causing the Type I part, thus making it a true Type I and not the Type II version of Type I.

4) Gustation Diabetes is cured by giving birth without dying first from the pregnancy. However there is a very High risk of getting Type II diabetes within the next 10 years. In which case the previously mentioned cure for Type II diabetes will work.

So in summary Type II diabetes is a very deadly and dangerous disease that is curable through surgery or sleeve insert. But the medical community rarely talks about it, and only about half the people in the medical community know about it. Diabetes is the leading cause for blindness and kidney failure. And will leave the diabetic a much more vulnerable to cancer as well.

Since the surgery and started drinking the Marengo about 11 months after the surgery I now weigh 230 pounds, which means I’ve lost 150 pounds so far. And all of my Fasting blood sugars measure between 80 and 95 (super) without ever taking metformin or insulin. My Cholesterols measuring between 30’s to 60’s (< 200 is normal) without any anti-cholesterol medications I used to take; like Symcor or Crestor. I no longer need high blood pressure medications; I used to take as many as 3 different kinds. I no longer take Methotrexate injections for my psoriasis and Rheumatoid arthritis. All my skin psoriasis is completely gone, no more dandruff, no more dry or flaking skin and no more athlete’s foot too; that had been plaguing me since I was a teenager.

Not accurate normal PH range of whole arterial blood worldwide is 7.35 to 7.45 for your whole life and no medical professional would be concerned overly about any variation of 0.05 lower or higher....probably dehydration or food related.

So ....in order to easily check , a venous sample is taken and some adjustments are made (depending on the chemical composition of the sample taken) or if we want to be super accurate like in a acute disease process such as acute diabetic ketoacidosis we would put in a arterial line (in your wrist usually) and this allows more frequent checks on your arterial blood as we adjust your ph with a range of infusions or breathing patterns slowly and safely (breathing ? because when you breath out , you expel hydrogen (h2- , an excess causes acidity) and therfore by intubating you and then mechanically increasing the frequency of your breaths we can decrease your bloods acidity etc ....depends on the underlying acute issue of course)

I am glad you feel better after Your "last gasp" medical intervention after putting up with years of a worsening condition , this not addressing the issue for a long time has consequences .....I am also a bit saddened but not surprised that you still don't know why the last gasp intervention of gastric bypass (enforced weight loss) has worked.
