One wonders how many "reputation enhancers" and "slander deleters" it would take to reignite Weinzerls' career.

Mind you, it would be a great gig to get.

Back to Mike for a sec....

4 million profit in 16 years. That's $250,000 per year! That is pretty consistent success. What I don't understand is if you go back and watch his videos around Memorial Day 2010, he says he was frustrated, and considered getting a job. And at the latest Evolv convention he was saying he recently hit a low point with Evolv, as people he counted on were dropping out, yadda-yadda-yadda. I paraphrased both comments, and I'm not trying to take either of those out of context. I truly believe his message in both was...don't give up. What I don't believe is that he made $4 million profit in MLM in the last 16 years.

I seriously doubt his earning claims as well. This industry such as it is, is filled with liars andcon artists who have made an art form out of "fake it even though you will never make it."

I wonder if Mike paid taxes on 4 million profit over the last 16 years, or if the story he tells the IRS is different than the recruiting story he tells prospects?

I think they were offering a money back guarantee. Of course, all the criteria for a refund must be met...exactly.

Re: Trey White's Evolv Water vs. World Renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center

If you thought there were a lot of IFs in the previous posts, check out this video. I lost count of all the ifs and assumptions. My favorite was the assumption that If you buy the starter kit, and IF you buy support videos, then you should be able to sell 64 packets for $19.95 each (who pays tax?), and IF you sell all 64 packets, then we assume you may have 20-30 returning customers...PER WEEK. That is assuming the customer has $80 per month to spend on a non-FDA approved pill.

The 20 Pack of Limitless - YouTube

The IF I would like to add, is IF it were so easy to get 20-30 monthly customers paying $19.95 per week for this pill, then it would be in stores, and not sold in an MLM.

Re: Trey White's Evolv Water vs. World Renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center

WHERE are you supposed to find 64 people interested in buying a week supply of Limitless "samples"???????

Let's start with mom. Are you really going to ask your mom to buy a pack from you? I can't imagine the shame in telling your mom you are in this line of work, much less ask her to support it financially. Would you actually take the money, or have her apply it to this month's rent, so you can continue to live in your old room?

OK, that leaves 63 samples to go. Are you going to ask friends? Are you going to tell them it adds energy without the sugar crash? Are you going to tell them it cures all kind of aches and pains? Are you willing to lose that friendship? Let's say you really believe the hype..how many of your friends will? Some are going to ask you to prove your claims, and telling them to "just try it" isn't going to work. Showing them a report on an ingredient isn't going to work on most, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's just say you sold 10 more samples to friends. I will throw you one more bone, and we can agree it will take about 10 days to sell these 10.

Alright, day 11 and you are down to 53 samples, BUT you have $170 dollars in your pocket (I assume you are putting 10% away, so you can pay the appropriate sales tax). Wait, that's not right...you are still down. I forgot, you had to sign up for the opportunity: $49. You had to sign up for the OTHER opportunity: $39. You bought $995 worth of "samples". You bought a $150 CD training set. You bought a $20 website replication. You bought the "advertising" Ken mentioned. OK, you are actually out $1,180 at this point. My bad.

Day 12, you've decided to trudge on. Where to sell next? The office. If I am to believe everything these guys say about how miserable a J.O.B. is, and that everyone there is broke, I'm thinking this might not be fertile ground. Oh well, let's agree that it will be tough, that your boss won't mind you pushing pills at the office, and that you can sell ice to Eskimos. You had a hell of a week, and you were able to sell 4 boxes. Hmmmm, 49 to go, but you still have half a month. Next stop Church. You kill it at church, and you are able to sell 10 more boxes. Now you have another $280 to put towards the $1,180 debt.

You better have a challenge party at your house. Flyers and snacks will cost you $100.00 tops, but you manage to get 20 people to attend...after all, it is your first party, and the neighbors haven't started avoiding you yet. The party is kind of a wash. You thought you might of had a couple of "live ones", so you let them take a free packet, in the hopes that one of them would sign up at the end of the week, for the opportunity. Unfortunately, one of your co-workers saw you give away a packet, and is now asking why you charged him $19.95. So, you give him his money back (unless your name is Jack).

So now you have 45 packets left, and only 6 days until your autoship arrives with a fresh supply of 2 packets. You are out $1,020, and you alienated 30 people in your life, but you have lots of energy and no tennis elbow.

Then again, Ken makes it sound so easy. Maybe he's right, and I don't know what I'm talking about.

Re: Trey White's Evolv Water vs. World Renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center

If you have a friend or family member caught up in MLM, you've probably seen their latest attempt to discredit traditional corporate America, by posting this tripe:

    CEO
    President
    Vice Presidents
    Middle Managers
    Hard Working Employees
No thanks, looks like a pyramid scheme

They leave out the most important rung, because they want you to think this is an apples to apples comparison. They also minimize the importance of hard working middle managers and leadership provided by senior management. When its the consumers paying the salaries of all the employees, what do you care what those above you make? When it is your friends and family paying for those above you, you should care.

    Hard Working CEO
    Hard Working President
    Hard Working Vice Presidents
    Hard Working Middle Managers
    Hard Working Employees
    Consumers

Finally, they will tell you they compared the two, and decided to pass on corporate America. Much more likely is that corporate America passed on them.

I love when MLMers do that little "reverse psychology" thing

Put simply, a pyramid SCHEME is not the same as a pyramid SHAPED business structure.

It's the SCHEME part people should worry about.

As fashionable as it may be in MLM circles to criticize Hard Working CEOs, Hard Working Presidents, Hard Working Vice Presidents, Hard Working Middle Managers and Hard Working Employees, the fact is not one of them is paying for the privilege of working.

They are all trading their labour for wages/salaries and benefits.

They are NOT trading their labour for commission AND paying their company and/or upline for the privilege, as is the case in MLM.

    It's the SCHEME,

It's always the SCHEME behind the pyramid which is the problem.

The scheme which promises "anyone can do it"

The scheme which sells the tools.

The scheme which secretly produces the tools. and further profits by charging outrageous prices.

The scheme which charges to attend the training.

The scheme which lies about the product, products' potential, products' benefits, products ingredients.

The scheme which promises rewards, but forces the recipients of the rewards to enter into lease agreements.

The scheme which misrepresents the market for the product and/or the size of the market.

The scheme which claims "market saturation" is impossible, but conveniently ignores the fact "market saturation" includes both the product AND MLM itself.

The scheme which deliberately disguises the fact the product/s are notoriously overpriced, overhyped and the claims regarding efficacy are deliberately misleading

The scheme which falsely inflates sales figures by disguising members as recipients of "autoshipping"
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

Re: Trey White's Evolv Water vs. World Renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center

Inside the pyramid within the pyramid they tell you that you are now part of a team, and that they have a revenue sharing program in place. They tell you there are multiple ways to earn a check in the pyramid within the pyramid, which makes it better than most other systems. Don't you see there are many more ways to pay in!!! C'mon, are people really not smart enough to figure that out on their own? Really???!!!???

If you give me $10, I will give you a dollar. If you give me $20, I will give you $8. If you give me $100, I will give you $76!!!! Look at that. Three ways for you to get paid!

Does this sound any more stupid than what is written above? It does? Fine, then I will throw in a t-shirt if you choose any of the 3 options.

The Limu Experience by Millionaire Robert Dean helpmebiz.com - YouTube

Why did he have to leave Evolv? He provided some of the best sound bites ever...

    Which line is better?:

A: Minute one when he asks if you remember when everyone you knew started doing crack or,
B: 5 minutes in when he says Limu provides energy and helps you sleep.

I only made it through the first six minutes. Let me know if there is anything better.

At the 5:45 minute mark they are talking about how selling travel isn't the same as pills and lotions. Oh, what a difference a year makes. These guys should all just sell waffles. Very punny!!!!

"WE'RE GOING TO BE IN THIS FOR THE LONG TERM"

Must be a different definition of what constitutes "long term" in MLMland.

Here is the official announcement about Jerome's joining Evolv:

Dallas, TX, October 17, 2011 – EvolvHealth, LLC announced today that Jerome Hughes is Evolving and becoming a Promoter of the e84 Challenge. Mr. Hughes has had tremendous success in the network marketing industry and is excited about making a difference in people’s lives through the e84 Challenge...

...Twenty three years ago Jerome fell in love with network marketing when he saw ordinary people making extraordinary incomes by simply doing business differently.

Why don't they list the former MLM companies he participated in during the last 23 years?

Can ViSalus borrow this bio when he leaves Evolv to join them?

Depends on what you mean by "still around "

J Lloyd "coach' Tolmer resigned and YTB transmogrified into an internet mall business known as Zam Zuu which, by all accounts is nearly as unsuccessful as YTB.

Here is the latest picture from Evolv's meal replacement program. Apparently this stuff even works on cars. Does Evolv gel fix flat tires?

This picture was posted on Evolv's FB page. In Bob's defense, I looked at his own page, and the picture isn't "enhanced" there. I can only assume it was the honest marketing team at Evlov who doctored the picture.
