". I still think that Easter Gift would've been paid if Gov did not intervene."
1st there were NO loans to make ANY $.
2nd that Easter gift was larger than the GPA of some developing nationals.

Re: Profitable Sunrise HYIP - Has anybody dug through it yet?
Just a clue.
Whenever a "program" has sets up a condition that leads to a big payday for everyone if you "invest now" like the Easter Gift, you know for sure that by the date of the big payoff they'll be gone, or the payments will have stopped. Seen it dozens of times and as someone has pointed out, if you do the math the possibility of any company short of Exxon-Mobil having the money to make the payments is about nil.
Anyone who knew anything about the "industry" knew when the Easter Gift was announced that by the end of march PS was going to be gone.

I knew it was over way before that, obvious impending doom was realized in November.

Really? So you started warning everybody in November to get their money out, including you, right?

If people asked me about PS I would show them articles from HYIP-Pulse. Chris is usually good at spotting when things are about to turn sour.
I left PS before November. Was one of the first sites I ever joined. I never posted in the PS thread, was just a newbie intimidated by all the serious conversation there lol.

If you read this thread, you'll see most of us knew well before then, and in fact knew as soon as we became aware of it. The "big payout for long term investors" aspect is just the clue for the unusually thick.

HYIP monitors are trying to make money off HYIPs, albeit INdirectly. They're what lends "credibility" to a basically illegal pyramid scheme industry.

Most exchange spot in monitor for $ in the HYIP. No reason ($) to not ride to the end.
The strong ones actually charge for montor listing.

I bet Jarrett was warning people to get out long before the website disappeared. He's smart like that.

Re: Profitable Sunrise HYIP - Has anybody dug through it yet?
Well it only took John Schepcoff a few days to start pimping his new Ponzi de Jour, so i guess Tony Infante felt slighted so he now has joined in pimping his new ride: Family Vacation Network. Guess he forgot that the parent company, Westgate Resorts has more complaints against them than both my arms and legs are long. Seems they use high-pressure sales tactics in selling their wonderful time-share packages, and then can't deliver with the promised exchanges as claimed. But then when did any Ponzi pimp ever do any "real" due diligence.
Tony's idea of due diligence is how much more can I be paid if I bring in XXXX number of people. But Tony, keep up the good work. The list of charges are piling up every day.
If anyone wants a good laugh, here's the link: http://familyvacationnetwork.biz/

Does this mean that Tony is going back to picking up the phone himself? There was a guy on the PS page who said he always took the calls until Roman did a runner, then it was "honey get the phone". Classy. Without even look at the particulars of this pitch, there are a ton of Time Shares going begging for a buyer at any given time.

They can, but the rules governing civil proceedings are different to those governing criminal proceedings.
In contrast to a criminal trial, the court and jury are allowed to draw an adverse inference when a defendant invokes his Fifth Amendment rights in a civil case.
It doesn’t take a genius therefore, to see that that the Fifth Amendment privilege is a tradeoff between disagreeable alternatives in a civil context—a choice between greater risk of criminal consequences if the witness testifies or a greater risk of civil liability if the witness does not (e.g., “He must have something to hide!”)

The SEC cannot file criminal charges, but I think Nanci Jo's current problems are with the assorted Ohio agencies and are criminal and not civil.

Why do they want to depose PayPal?
They were not one of the payment processors.
Unless some PS participants were asking people to send them cash via PayPal in exchange for them transferring fake dollars from their PS account.
I know Don Gillette and Pete Cameron were asking people make cash deposits into their bank accounts in exchange for this type of transaction
