Nik...you are a very good investigator. Your contributions are valued.
On the point/topic of the SEC:
They don't need to move quickly because the PS case is already in the hands of law enforcement.
SEC will investigate and may hand down finesand judgements, but they are an adminsitrative and regulatory body and they are not a criminal enforcement body.
PS is over.
Criminal charges will be filed. Fraud, Conspiracy to Commit Fraud, Tax Evasion, Money Laundering and the most SERIOUS probelm NJF has is the IRS. That's 10 years in Federal Prison for tax fraud. Too bad for her that her "advisors" were ministers and not certified accountants.
IF they catch Roman, he will get the same treatment. It is criminal now, not civil or regulatory.
The top promoters will also be chased down and will beg for mercy.
BREAKING NEWS: Nanci Jo and Roman have just signed a contract with Fox for a new reality TV show. "Live from Levenworth" will debut September 1st. Also, it has been learned that NJF and her ministries have just filed an LSD 25 for a new company...err....community in the Land of OZ.
You cannot make this stuff up.
Disgracefull behavior by self professed Chrisitians.
A greater sentence and judgement awaits them.

Re: Profitable Sunrise HYIP - Has anybody dug through it yet?
AS for Nanci Jo's son supposedly having a life threatening brain injury requiring he be airlifted to a hospital in Toledo. I called hospitals in Toledo that have helipad landing facilities and asked for "Taylor Fraizer's Room" and none had ever heard of him. Not definitive I know, but I'm not believing her story on that.
I think it's more likely Nanci Jo was airlifted to Columbus to find a lawyer.

The latest rationalization from serial HYIP ponzi shill ladym12 on the MMG HYIP ponzi forum
I guess it must make the shills and pimps feel better to blame others for the fact Profitable Sunrise is a downright fraud and the vast majority of members DON'T know it's all fake and WILL lose their money, hopes and dreams.
Justifying the fraud by saying things like "we're all big kids and we all knew the risks" simply doesn't cut it in the real world.

Re: Profitable Sunrise HYIP - Has anybody dug through it yet?
OFFICIAL STATEMENT:
(From our own Nancy Frazier)
Because we as a community could not find any precedent as to how an offshore collateral lending company would be legally viewed in the USA, nor were we aware of any circumstance that would prevent us from participating, nor had anyone presented the concept that those who referred someone to a collateral lending company would be viewed as marketing the sale of an unregistered security, Profitable Sunrise has successfully been operating in the USA since 2009 with no complaint or conflict.
Um yes. It is normal to do some due diligence BEFORE involving thousands of other people in any financial scheme. It takes less than 3 minutes to find out that Profitable Sunshine was not licensed to do business as anything, never mind lending or selling securities in its supposed country of origin. It takes less than 5 minutes to find out that any offshore company dealing in loans and/or securities that is not legally registered in the USA may NOT do business with US citizens and that Profitable Sunrise was not registered. Just a brief look at Profitable Sunshine and a check on liens registries made it clear that it was NOT a collateral lending company permitted to deal in the US and was most likely selliing unregistered securities. The presence of most of the known ponzi pimps in the scheme and its promotion in some very unchristian places, like TG and MMG, is easy to track.
Oh, and Maddoff did business for years before he was caught.
But apart from that, how was the poor woman to know that she was doing wrong?

It's probably worth repeating here that Nanci Jo Frazer is in an entirely different category than your normal run-of-the-mill HYIP ponzi promoter.
She put herself in a different category both when she involved her charity with Profitable Sunrise and when she accepted money for her "recommendations" to her downline members and in public.
SHE is required by law to ascertain the legitimacy of "investments" for which she has received compensation (i.e. referral commission) BEFORE giving the type of advice she did.
It is simply not good enough in the U.S.A. to blindly recommend "investments" without first performing due diligence, ESPECIALLY for such a high profile figure as NJF.

I thought a Scam was where people take money from you, and you don't get what is promised or refunded? I thought the local "law" didn't look into things until they got a ton of complaints about fraud, waste or abuse. I think the first to complain was a State Bank saying "hmmm, this looks suspicious" then from there, the "frankenstein" hunt started.
1. Am I saying PS is not a possible fraud - NO
2. Am I saying that this entire fiasco seems to be a witchhunt on a program, where, up until yesterday when 2 people from minnesota complained (out of the blue) nobody in the entire planet has complained about PS.
Moral of story: there are no morals on either side.

That is not exactly true, Roman Novak claimed to be doing hard money loans that were backed by insurance. He is not. 100% sure of this.
If he was doing loans as he said, and is generating real money other than new cash from new suckers then you have nothing to worry about. Stop and think about that just a little.

How on earth can you possibly come up with an explanation that "2 people from minnesota complained (out of the blue)" ???
How the h*** would you know how many people complained and to whom they did so ??
Nobody on the entire planet ????

So if I steal from a store, but just a little at a time and they never notice and thus never complain, it's okay then, right?

Welcome to RS. Despite what you have heard, we do not chew up and spit out people here that have differeing views from ours. But we are adults and we expect people to act like adults. Get your feelings hurt because someone says something you don't like? Suck it up and get over it. Prove them wrong with facts, not feelings or conspiracy theories. The mods don't care if you got your feelings hurt, but they will stop viscious or offensive attacks from anyone.
A scam is a program where the payment will happen when a future event happens, but never does. Money goes in, but no money comes out. The classic scam was Global Pension Plan. And here we are 7 years later and some still expect to get paid.
A Ponzi is a program where people are being paid on time in the beginning. All Ponzi's pay in the beginning. The only way they can continue to pay is by getting enough new people with enough new money to allow the Ponzi to continue. When not enough new peopel and money is coming in to cover the payments, it collapses. Welcome to PS. PS was never anything but a Ponzi. Nothing Roman said was the truth. NOTHING.
These states did not just issue their alerts and cease and desist orders out of the blue. They had to conduct an investigation before they issued their alerts and cease and desist orders. As previously mentioned, you have no clue how many people did complain, but it is not just people that can make a complaint. Any banking institution can also file a complaint. Money was being sent to an overseas bank that very well may have been on a "watch" list by the International banking community. There are many banks in every country that are on this watch list. These are banks that have qustionable business practices. Just because they are a bank, they may be a bank in name only.
You also do not know all the people who were in PS that were having payment issues. Your only known universe were the posters at MMG that were always paid on time, or so they claimed. You see, you can't even believe all of them that they really did get paid from their investment in the proram. Roman paid people to post "I got paid immediately," or similar statements. If you don't know this is how Ponzi's operate, you do now. Personally, I think the states are about 6 months too late to have issued their warnings and cease and desist orders.
The only person to blame here is Roman. You see he could have avoided all of this. All he had to do was license and register his business of bridge loan/hard money lending in every state in which he did business. All he had to do was license and register PS securities with the SEC and every state in which he wanted to do business. All he had to do was be registered and licensed with FINRA to sell his securities. That alone should have told you this was a Ponzi.
But there was a reason why he didn't and that was because he was never doing any bridge loans/hard money lending. NONE. How do I know this? Because if he truly was doing these type of loans, he would be doing at least $1 Billion Dollars in loans. He would have needed to do that amount as a minimum in order to pay what he was promising to pay his investors. But what should have been screaming at all of you this was a Ponzi is that for him to be doing this volume of loans, he would have needed an office, not working out of his car. Name me one Billion Dollar company that they work out of their car and not an office.
It is not the "evil government" that is to blame here. It is all of you who let greed blind you to the truth, and Roman for lying to all of you and stealing your money. I hope you realize that now.

I'm wondering about the following..any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Do you think Roman is on the run? There was a news article that said he and his brother were actually contacted about everything, and he claimed he was a victim also. If he's available to comment, then why isn't he located and arrested?
I mean, is he free now to walk away with millions of dollars and not be detained or caught?
Also, where is the SEC during all of this? Each state is separately issuing warnings, Cease/Desist, but these are just the states. Where are the federal authorities and why aren't they involved?
Lastly, who actually shut down the site? Did Roman call the hosting company and instruct them to shut it, or did some govt agency move forward.
Most of all, where the !$#@ is the federal SEC? It seems to me the states by themselves have little power.
thanks kindly for any advice or opinions!

You know Profitable Sunrise has been down for a while, and I think they ran with the money.
It was a small sum I invested but I am really angry. I also know my upline who put his full faith and was going to base his life off of it has explaining to do to his family why he put half of his tax return in a scam.
By the way he put $5,000 into it. What a blessing.
