And just as a little reminder, her's a very lovely shot of the Booths with "Big Mikey" Deese, in the days of MAPs - about 2017.

Anyone know what happened to Deese?

I think what has changed is: they don't feel threatened any more from disgruntled MAP/TAP members who were upset with them (rightfully so); they realized moving to the Isle of Man was going to be more expensive than they thought, especially since their house failed to sell like they thought it would; by laying low and not promoting another Ponzi immediately; today MAP/TAP has become a distant memory; and the anger level of the members has dropped considerably so less stress on them and making them feel more secure.

If they are smart, they will never promote another Ponzi again. They made enough money from MAP/TAP that they don't need to promote another Ponzi and live comfortably on their stolen money, well that is until greed takes over and they think they can get away with it again. But this is the Booth's we are talking about and they never struck me as being that smart, just lucky and good liars.

A little bit of good news to share tonight.
An unconfirmed report has reached us that the former German leader of MAP - Andreas Zenker, has been charged with "fraudulent advertising" (a German translation) regarding MAP. The Austrian trial starts in April.

Post Re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?

    Hi,
I am new to this site but I am looking for information on Duncan Wood, who has been, in my opinion a serial ponzi pyramid scammer. He was with My Adverting Pays, then Banners Brokers, and then WEE, too many to mention really, but now he is trying IMPACT101, a donation crowd funding scheme, and I just wonder how someone like this can carry on and not be prosecuted or pursued by law enforcement. Below is a link to his youtube channel where he is promoting IMPACT101. Any info anyone has about this or him would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Law enforcement has very little interest/budget/understanding of these types crimes relative to their ubiquitous nature.

Here are the first to links that pop up Googling "duncan wood scam" Let's contrast the majority finding these and saying oh yeah I'm not falling for his BS with the victims that tell themselves what exactly?

    https://finchsells.com/2013/06/26/ba...ur-money-back/

    http://www.realscam.com/f9/my-advert...html#post89213

On his Facebook page he's followed by 418 people whereas I'm followed by 2101 without a nice word to say.

    https://www.facebook.com/duncan.wood.56

Everyone should get one or two mulligans getting suckered, but years on end for some of these folks? Perpetual victims of click 10 ads per day scams are largely idiots. Many seem to have an anti-gubmit bent and believe there are C-KRET non-investment-investments offered only on YouTube to the little guy. Left to their own devices most would lose money to racetrack touts or trading system promoters if not this nonsense. There are exceptions, but not many.

Victims don't come forward. Hell many promoters have the maximum 5000 friends on Facebook and multiples of that in (paid?) followers, did I mention idiots? Frank Calabro of MAPs and USI Tech infamy https://behindmlm.com/companies/usi-...-come-forward/ is of the same ilk as Duncan Wood. Even after his arrest his victims sit thumbs up ass. Charles Scoville is a rare exception where the SEC got involved and he was running the scam, peddlers thus far have moved on unscathed. Bitconnect might scar a few serial con artists but that remains to be seen. We're also talking about legal action that solely occurred in the US, and when that action occurred victims screamed bloody murder.

Bernie Madoff, Allen Stanford, and Scott Rothstein weren't running particularly complex scams, when the feds moved their victims quickly woke up. Keep in mind Madoff confessed, it's not like the SEC went all Deputy Dawg on his ass.
Their victims weren't searching for answers in Facebook groups. Since the victims were moneyed folk the punishments were harsh for promoters. There is no moral difference between stealing a million and a few billion, but look at the penalties imposed.

I'd certainly love to see con artists like Wood spend years in the pokey, but that will never happen. Potential investors need to wake up to the fact that if someone unlicensed is recruiting them it's a scam. They will almost certainly lose their money with little redress. It's cathartic and sad at the same time viewing comments when justice is dispensed. The real upside of sites like this is that it hurts the business of serial fraudsters while educating those that can be taught.

Re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?

elleneiderdown, let me see if I can shed some light on your question as to why law enforcement has not taken action against him. First you must understand that law enforcement is "reactive" not "pro-active" when it comes to financial white-collar crimes. Law enforcement has to have victims before they will conduct an investigation. If people don't file complaints, there is no crime being committed or committed. While a lot of victims "say" they will file a complaint, the truth is the vast majority don't. Instead they will post on FB or other social media sites at how mad they are, but that's all they do. I will give you a classic example of what I am talking about. There is a FB Support Group for members of MAP/TAP. They have been repeatedly told they have to file a complaint with their country's law enforcement agencies that handle these type of investigations. Despite all the posts urging them to file a complaint, less than 25% of the total members of the FB group filed a complaint. Contrast that with TrafficMonsoon where fortunately the members did file complaints and the SEC shut TM down. It still took 2 years for the SEC to act after the initial complaints against TM were started.

When you file a complaint you just can't say it is a Ponzi. thus the reason for your complaint. You have to stick to the facts, and document your complaint with as much information as possible. The MAP/TAP group admins provided the 'How To" guide to file a complaint, so there was no excuse as to why they didn't or how to do it.

But let's not forget the "victims" of these type of Ponzi's/Scams. They are just as guilty as the people running them. There were numerous people warning the members they were in a Ponzi/Scam, but they refused to listen to us. We were called: "Trolls, Naysayers, Jealous, my personal favorite HATERS, afraid to take risks, etc., etc.. Had they listened they would not have been victims. You had many signing up everyone and anybody to get the referral commissions. Many signed up their cats, dogs, birds, parents, grandparents just for the referral commissions. So were they really victims?

But the most glaring problem was why anybody would take financial advice from the likes of Duncan Wood, Mike Deece, Charles Scoville, Frank Calabro, Jr, Simon Stepsys, Tony and Lynne Booth, Sunil Patel, Jose Nunes, Sharon James, Mark Ghobril, and the list goes on and on and on and on defies comprehension. They don't do it once, but multiple times. Some are very, very, very slow to learn their lesson.

Want them to stop? Warn everyone you can about them. If enough people would start telling people to really do due diligence, you could stop 90% of them from joining these Ponzi's and end how long they can last as well as how much money they can steal. As the old saying goes, "there is a sucker born every minute, but a sociopath born every 30 minutes to take advantage of them."

    Hope this helped.

Re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?

    Zenkers German Trial Information:
    April 4th 2019

'Unauthorized advertising (pyramid scheme) in Landsberg

    Room 96
    13 KLs 25/18

The accused, born in December 1973, is charged with criminal prosecution under the Unfair Competition Act (UWG).

He is said to have undertaken from March 2014 to January 2017 from Landsberg to induce consumers to purchase goods, services or rights by promising them that they would gain special benefits if they induce others to conclude similar transactions ( 16 para. 2 UWG).

Through a co-operated advertising platform he is said to have sold to consumers so-called credit packs, which should give consumers the right to participate in a revenue-driven pool, provided that they fulfill their obligation to click on at least 10 banner ads every day. This gave the impression that the business model not only generated revenue from the sale of "credit packs" but also advertising revenue, which was not the case. In fact, in the spirit of a pyramid scheme, the business model had financed the commissions initially distributed to the consumers involved merely by selling more "credit packs",

The accused is said to have collected over $ 100,000.00 in this way.

The defendant denied the allegations and argued that the business model was not a pyramid scheme.

In the case of a conviction imprisonment threatens up to two years or a fine.'

I wish them well with this lawsuit. Wasn't there someone who took the Booth's to court some years back and lost and ended up owing them money? I don't remember if they could appeal the ruling or not, but if he/she did I am sure we would have heard something about it.

What was needed to happen was for the Booth's to be sued by multiple people in civil court, not small claims court, with all the press coverage on the cases. Might have woke the UK Prosecutor up to take action against them, and all the other major players of MAP/TAP.

Mike recently got married - to his niece apparently. I've been told it's his real niece, which seems an odd thing to say if it isn't true, but I can't prove/disprove it.
    Either way, it sucks.

As they say in Alabama, keep it in the family and the family will keep it in you. Scoville says good work but she's too old for you, Mike.

What a pic on the dance floor...looks she's getting the same that "investors" got

Hmm, I seem to remember that Mike claimed that he was receiving disability payments for injuries sustained while in the Air Force. Guess either he recovered as evidenced by his busting his dance moves or it was mental disability.

The trial of the German MAP leader isn't due to finish until January 2020.
Part of the evidence has included a reference to Zenkers past association with Banners Broker.
