Isagenix: Cleanse your body or your wallet? Promoted by Scammer Tim Darnell & His Mentor Jay Bennett / Kelli Calabrese

This MLM claims to be the world leader in "nutritional cleansing and replenishing".

The revolutionary practice of Nutritional Cleansing, which can result in greater health, well-being and weight loss, is the foundation in which Isagenix® and its systems were developed.

Nutritional Cleansing is built upon the health routine of cleansing, including fasting and drinking herbal remedies, which has been practiced throughout history. Cleansing gives the body the chance to rest, regenerate and assist in its natural ability to remove toxins and impurities to promote long-term wellness. However, Nutritional Cleansing improves upon this ancient practice with a system that cleanses, replenishes and revitalizes the body with essential nutrients. Fasting helps to remove impurities from the body, but Nutritional Cleansing speeds up this process by infusing the body with healthy nutrients.

In simple terms, Nutritional Cleansing can be compared to changing the oil in your car. We regularly change the oil in our cars because it gets dirty and clogged by pollutants. We drain the dirty oil and replace it with clean oil, which helps our cars to run more efficiently. The same can be said for our bodies. We are regularly exposed to pollutants in our environment, impurities in our diets and stress that is often created by our hectic lifestyles. Nutritional Cleansing helps the body and organs to do what they are designed to do naturally and remove impurities.
Harriet Hall, M.D. posted an article, Defending Isagenix: A case study in flawed thinking

    Highlights:
I didn’t set out to write an article about this. It started when I received an e-mail inquiry about Isagenix. I posted my answer on a discussion list and it was picked up and published on the healthfraudoz website. Sandy Szwarc approved of it and kindly reposted it on her Junkfood Science blog.
As I write, the comments on the healthfraudoz website have reached a total of 176. A few commenters approved of what I wrote, but the majority of commenters tried to defend Isagenix. Their arguments were irrational, incompetent, and sometimes amusing.

It was as if no one had actually read what I wrote. No one bothered to address any of my specific criticisms. No one even tried to defend Isagenix’s false claims that toxicity accounts for most disease, that the body protects itself from toxins by coating them with fat, and that internal organs become clogged and deteriorate if you don’t “cleanse.” No one offered any evidence that “detoxification” improves human health. No one tried to identify any of the alleged toxins or show that they are actually removed. No one tried to provide any rationale for the particular combination of ingredients in Isagenix products (242 of them!). No one questioned my assertion that “no caffeine added” was inaccurate because green tea was added and it contains caffeine. No one commented on my observation that the amount of vitamin A in the products was dangerous and went against the recommendations of The Medical Letter. No one offered any evidence that more weight was lost by adding Isagenix to a low calorie diet and exercise. I offered some alternative explanations that might account for people believing it was effective when it wasn’t; no one commented on that. The medical advisor on the Isagenix website argued that at $5 a day Isagenix is less expensive than open heart surgery. I pointed out that that was a laughable false dichotomy: it’s not a matter of choosing between open heart surgery and diet supplements. No one commented on that. Instead of rational responses, we got …

    Rebuttals to Negative Testimonials
    “Evidence” that it works
    Defense of Multi-Level Marketing

Isagenix Scam: Questionable medical claims, no science behind them

    Posted on May 8th, 2011
Multi-level marketing company Isagenix offers a cleansing product which it claims helps people lose weight. Is this MLM scheme offering a bogus product, or is this a legitimate weight loss program?
Let’s start off by clarifying that in general, multilevel marketing companies are legal scams in the United States. The government allows them to exist and multiply. They offer products which are little more than a “front” for the schemes, since without a legitimate looking product or service, the companies would be at risk of appearing to be illegal pyramid schemes.
In this article, we are not focusing on the MLM method of selling an opportunity or product. We are looking at the product itself. Isagenix has its roots in colon cleansing products. These are detoxification products which they claim help people lose weight. The company also offers vitamins, supplements, and anti-aging products for the skin.
Does detox work to help lose weight? Is it something healthy that people should be doing regularly? The Mayo Clinic says that detox diets have no proven scientific benefits. Our bodies naturally remove toxins from things we ingest, and there is no need to add some sort of cleansing products to our diets to remove toxins.
Dr. Harriet Hall writes more below about the junk science behind Isagenix. In short, there are no proven benefits to using the Isagenix products. Users of the products may offer anecdotes about their success with them, but that is not the same as having independent scientific studies supporting such claims. Of course, Isagenix prohibits reps from making medical claims about the products, but such a prohibition never seems to stop the distributors in any company.

    Critique of Isagenix
    by Harriet Hall, M.D.
A friend inquired about a product, Isagenix (actually a whole family of products) that is being pushed by the leader of her weight loss group, claiming that “The Isagenix cleanse is unique because it not only removes impurities at the cellular level, it builds the body up with incredible nutrition. Besides detoxing the body, Isagenix teaches people a wonderful lesson that they don’t need to eat as much as they are accustom to and eating healthy choices are really important and also a lot of the food we are eating is nutritionally bankrupt.”
I went through the website (http://www.isagenix.com/) and watched the promotional videos. There is so much to criticize that I hardly know where to start. It’s all misinformation, unsupported claims, testimonials, and money-making ploys.
I couldn’t find a critique of Isagenix on the Web, but that’s not surprising. No serious medical scientist would take it seriously enough to bother about it. And it’s basically all been done before; it’s just a slightly new wrinkle on an old scam. You will find some information on related products at: "Detoxification" with Pills and Fasting
You can also go to the quackwatch.org homepage and type in cleansing or type in detoxification.
The claims on the Isagenix website are a mishmash of pseudoscience, myth, misrepresentation, and outright lies. For example:
    • Americans are sicker than ever before.
    • Toxicity accounts for most diseases.
    • The body protects itself from toxins by coating them with fat, causing obesity. [The truth: some toxins are soluble in fat and can be taken into existing fat cells, but no new fat cells are created.]
    • The internal organs become clogged and deteriorate if you don’t cleanse.
    • Nutrients that cleanse, revitalize, rejuvenate — what does this even mean?
    • The human body needs cleansing like air conditioners that need their filters changed and car engines that need oil changes. [This is nonsense: the human body cannot be compared to a machine: it is a living, self-regulating organism that does its own maintenance.]
They engage in scare-mongering about toxins, but provide no data to show that the tiny amounts we ingest lead to any significant adverse health effects. They also provide no evidence that their treatment actually removes any toxins from the body. Or that doing so would have any significant impact on health. There have been no properly controlled scientific studies of their “cleansing” treatments, only testimonials of the sort that abound on the Internet for hundreds of other ineffective products.
There is absolutely no rationale for the particular combination of ingredients in their products. They have LOTS of different products, and have included just about every nutrient and herbal remedy in existence: 242 of them! Some of these we know to be useless, some are potentially harmful, and we have no idea how the particular ingredients in the mixtures might interact for better or for worse.
They offer “ionic” minerals from “ancient plant deposits.” Minerals are the same thing wherever they come from, and all “ionic” means is that it is in a form that can be absorbed — i.e. magnesium as milk of magnesia rather than as a lump of elemental magnesium metal.
They advertise “no caffeine added” for a product that contains green tea; green tea contains caffeine. They repeat the tired old myth that our food isn’t as nutritious as in the “good old days.” They put digestive enzymes in their products to help you assimilate them, not realizing that orally ingested digestive enzymes are themselves digested in the stomach before they can do anything. They say that their electrolytes “ignite the body’s electrical system” — I have no idea what this means, and it certainly is not scientific terminology.
Their antioxidant mixture contains 15,000 IU of vitamin A as beta carotene plus 5000 IU as palmitate. The Medical Letter recently reviewed vitamin A and warned that no one should take high-dose beta carotene supplements, and that women should not take vitamin A supplements at all during pregnancy or after menopause. Among other things, they said: Vitamin A may also have pro-oxidant effects in vivo. A high intake of vitamin A from supplements and food has been associated with an increased risk of hip fracture in postmenopausal women and with teratogenicity when taken during early pregnancy. A placebo-controlled intervention trial in Finnish smokers found that 20 mg/day of a beta carotene supplement increased the incidence of lung cancer by 18%, which was statistically significant. Another large double blind intervention trial in smokers and asbestos exposed workers, terminated early because no benefit was demonstrated, found that combined therapy with 30 mg of beta carotene and 25,000 IU of vitamin A daily was associated with an increase in the incidence of lung cancer, cardiovascular mortality and total mortality.
The Medical Letter concluded: “A balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables may be safer than taking vitamin supplements. No biologically active substance taken for a long term can be assumed to be free of risk.”
Isagenix claims to promote weight loss. All “treatments” for [temporary] weight loss work the same way: they get people to ingest fewer calories than they expend. There is no reason to think that a person who restricts calorie intake and exercises will lose any more weight if they add Isagenix products. Diuretic and laxative effects, psychological factors, and enthusiasm for a new method may initially fool people into thinking they have benefited.
Their medical advisor, Becky Natrajan, MD, tells us on a video presentation that she is “excited about results” but she does not say what those results are or why she thinks the results are due to the product rather than to diet, exercise and other factors. Perhaps her funniest argument is that the $5 a day Isagenix costs you is less expensive than open heart surgery. As if it were a simple choice between the two!
She tells you to contact the person who told you about Isagenix. And one of the headings on the website is “Wealth.” There you will find out how you can sell products from your home and become an associate, a consultant or an executive with increasing levels of financial return. This sounds like a typical multilevel marketing scheme, typical of products that can’t be marketed effectively based purely on their merits.
In short, Isagenix is a slick marketing enterprise that lines the promoters’ pockets by selling baseless hope. There is a disclaimer on the website that should be taken very seriously: “These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.”

    __________________________________________________ ____________________
Awesome find, Emet. These products have been so thoroughly debunked and yet the illegal health claims abound.

re: Isagenix: Cleanse your body or your wallet? Promoted by Scammer Tim Darnell & His Mentor Jay Bennett

Gee... now there's a blast from the past - Isagenix. It must be a couple of years since I've squabbled with those yahoos and their "weight loss" nonsense!

It's nice to see Dr. Harriet Hall is still active. I know she got quite a bit of flack from the Isagenix crowd for her original piece. I had some correspondence with her, congratulating her on that expose. I can't remember what else she shared with me, but it had something to do with hate mail she got, something like that!

    Speaking of doctors...

I read on Livestrong that "the "Isagenix Cleanse," a product shown on infomercials, is fronted by gastroentrologist Dr. Becky Natrajen".

What is the Dr. Becky Natrajan Cleansing Diet?

Never heard of her, but a link at the bottom of the above article gives some more info about her:

THIS IS MY ISAGENIX STORY - Becky Natrajan, M.D.

There's a picture of the skinny bimbo and her husband on that page. I can tell she never had a weight issue and she admits it: "We were already healthy and very physically fit, but even then, after 9 days on the program, we felt 15 years younger".

All that aside, here's the interesting part...

"At last, after 12 months of extensive research looking for the “perfect” wellness company and Affiliate opportunity…"

Dr. Becky and Dan Maes have joined forces with TriVita to bring Wellness to the World!

Renowned Medical Doctor and award-winning Marketing Executive have teamed up to bring wellness to the world by harnessing the power of a proven Affiliate opportunity of a lifetime! Dr. Becky Maes (formerly Natrajan) and Dan Maes have embraced TriVita’s mission, superior quality products and proven business model. They are 100% dedicated to your success and helping you experience wellness and create wealth for your life purposes.

“For us, we know with our hearts that Trivita is our family and we will create a legacy for our children and their children.”
    –Becky Maes MD

Man, it makes your head spin trying to keep up with these characters!

It appears after all the hoopla with Isagenix, she's not only ditched them - but her main squeeze as well, if I read that correctly.

I wonder if it's ever occurred to this guy to try going "straight" for a change instead of continually living on the knife edge between "almost" and "completely" fraudulent.

My guess is Darnell is a perfect example of that substrata of society for whom the need for instant gratification has become a way of life.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

This crap Tim Darnell and Bob Innes are pushing is using totally dishonest scare tactics to sell virtually worthless products. Sure, we are exposed to toxins. But, colon cleanse is a useless and sometimes harmful practice. Piles of supplements are again unnecessary and extremely expensive. This is beyond pathetic that a company will frighten and mislead the public in this manner. Comparing cleaning one's body to doing an oil change is laughable. The body already does what it is designed to do and Isagenix will do nothing to improve that. What a bunch of BS.

Detoxification (alternative medicine) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    (Redirected from Body cleansing)
    Jump to: navigation, search
Detoxification is an alternative medicine approach that proponents claim rids the body of "toxins", accumulated harmful substances that are alleged to exert undesirable effects on individual health. Detoxification usually includes one or more of: dieting, fasting, consuming exclusively or avoiding specific foods (such as fats, carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables, juices, herbs, or water), colon cleansing, chelation therapy, or the removal of dental fillings.[1][2] Body cleansing is not supported by science, with no medical benefits demonstrated, and is based on questionable or disproved scientific claims.[3][4][5][6] The toxins are usually undefined, with no evidence (or inappropriately used testing) for toxic accumulation in the patient.[7].

    .........
    Criticism

Body cleansing and detoxification have been referred to as an elaborate hoax used by con artists to cure nonexistent illnesses. Some doctors contend that the 'toxins' in question do not even exist.[1][16][17] Alternative medicine proponents frequently cite heavy metals or pesticides as the source of toxification; however, no evidence exists that detoxification approaches have a measurable effect on these or any other chemical levels. Medical experts state that body cleansing is unnecessary as the human body is naturally capable of maintaining itself, with several organs dedicated to cleansing the blood and gut.[18] Professor Alan Boobis OBE, Toxicologist, Division of Medicine, Imperial College London states that "The body’s own detoxification systems are remarkably sophisticated and versatile. They have to be, as the natural environment that we evolved in is hostile. It is remarkable that people are prepared to risk seriously disrupting these systems with unproven ‘detox’ diets, which could well do more harm than good."[13]

The apparently satisfied testimonial and anecdotal accounts by customers can often be explained by disguised employees companies or individuals creating false anecdotes, legitimate customers who are experiencing the placebo effect after using the products, natural recovery from an actual illness that would have occurred without the use of the product, psychological improvements on illnesses that are psychosomatic or the result of neurosis, or the lack of a larger number of dissatisfied customers not posting equally applicable anecdotes about their poorer experiences.[19]
Obviously, Tim Darnell has not learned his lesson after all the litigation he has been involved in. I hope the IRS will enforce its $97,265.17 tax lien and teach this scamming buffoon a lesson!

I noticed one reader that posted a comment on Tracy Coenen's Fraud Files Blog has Isagenix on his/her radar as well.

    Questions about Isagenix

"Building the most complete collection of independent and unbiased information on Isagenix Health claims and Marketing Methods. Questions about isagenix including scientific evidence, ethics, and financial considerations. 101 Questions about Isagenix."

His/her Sunday, November 27, 2011 entry is particularly good.

MLM and Small Business Saturday -- Sunday Thoughts

"I woke up this morning even more certain than before that MLM (Multi Level Marketing) is holding our country back in so many ways: socially (destroying families and friendships), economically (wasting people's time on things that don't generate real value) and ethically (allowing thousands of people to gamble, and become victims of, legalized pyramid schemes.)

With yesterday's Small Business Saturday event, the emphasis was on "shopping small business" -- that's a great message. I just hope that small business is not an MLM neighbor or family member... "

    How true!

    Can you imagine the scene:

IRS AGENT: Mr Darnell, I'd like to discuss the tax lien we hold.

Darnell: I've started a new business so I can earn enough to clear the debt..

IRS AGENT: That's excellent. Can I ask what you're doing to earn the money ?

Darnell: Yes, I'm teaching people to clean their colons.

    IRS AGENT: r--i--g--h--t

This will tell you the truth 100% about isagenix!

in all honesty, I have been reading ALL the "Rippoff" reports about isagenix on this website and have found 0% to be truthful and in any real detail that would make one that investigate more on all the matters to have it fixed or any thing done to fix it.

I have been using isagenix for 3 years now and it saved me life!

I started on April 10 2009 and have been using the products every day, but before I started Isagenix I was at 182 pounds at 5 feet 4 inches (5'4") on April 9 2009. 7 months before that I was 150 pounds. I become bedridden for 7 months from severe back discomfort. I had a good job doing welding at the time in buffalo NY. I was around tons of toxicity at the time and didn't think anything of it or if it could even hurt me with the safety precaution I was taking. I was learning about health and wellness / natural healing at the time, I never learned about toxicity and how it can impact the human body. I was eating all organic foods, drinking tons of water (fiji water), and taking food grade hydrogen peroxide (WTF???) but I still got sick. I could not even pick up a 5 pound cat. Iwas introduced to Isagenix by a friend of a friend. I was kind of unsure about taking it as everyone would be. I’m the type of person that will not take any thing that did not come from earth. I got the 30day system with the isadelights only to lose the weight because my weight kept going up and up every month fast. So after ordering it, UPS came on April 9 and I started on April 10 I started that morning and after 2 weeks, my back healed up, my weight went down and all of my health problems are gone!

I felt like I was 18 again but better. After being bedridden for 7 months I took “tae kwon do” and was able to surpass the black belts in the same exercises. I also walked 8 miles to the gym worked out for 2 hours straight and walked 8 miles back non-stop without even getting tired. I was so amazed I called up my en-roller and told her what I did and she was not surprised that I was able to do that
being on Isagenix. I am now at 160 pounds as of 9/3/2010 and it's very very hard for me to gain weight if I stop using Isagenix. now that I went to being a vegetarian and gluten free my weight is droping even more. I stayed 160 for a year and could not loss it no matter what! I was bicycling 1,000 miles a month and nothing! I was even a vegetarian at the time a year ago. a month ago I went gluten free, as of today
8/30/2011 I am now 138 lb. :) I was still even using isagenix and talking to people when I was homeless for a while a year and a half ago.

They can't even keep their own lies straight. So, they didn't need the crap to lose weight to begin with. Shocking I say!
And this is quite the tale.

@ Doc: I take it from your exclamation that you hadn't heard about "Food grade Hydrogen Peroxide'...? My better half's great failing is that she believes all the alternative medicene hype that comes down the pike. "Food grade Hydrogen Peroxide" is nothing more than some company taking $1 a bottle H2O2 and adding a flavoring to it and peddling it for several bucks a bottle. Do a search for it and a myriad of articles come up, like.... The Many Benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide By Dr. David G. Williams .
It seems like in this "industry" common sense is not all that common!

The Isafreaks do fascinating math. According to the Earnings Statement 84% are retail customers (and therefore should not be mentioned on the earnings statement.) 16% are sharing and have a few under them in this towering pyramid (or are in reality failed reps.) That's 100% folks. So, the business builders that come next in the tables must be a tiny fraction of 1%. Like Melaleuca the tables are totally misleading. A few have made big money, but thousands are losing their shirts paying in for worthless products as the money trickles upward. MLM fraud at its most obvious! Really funny math!

Forget all the company spin doctoring:

66% of ALL Isagenix "ASSOCIATES" earned an average annual net income of $197 BEFORE expenses

34% of ALL Isagenix "CONSULTANTS" earned an average annual net income of $1767 BEFORE expenses

I like how this blogger describes what you're talking about. They use Isacrap as an example, but it applies equally across the board.

Why is Isagenix Sold Via Multi Level Marketing?

A: Multi Level Marketing is just one way to sell products and it is an unusual method. The majority of products including nutritional supplements are NOT sold via Multi Level Marketing (MLM).

MLM is generally considered a less reputable way to sell products, because many products sold via MLM are of low quality. It is often called "pyramid selling" because it has the same structure as a pyramid scheme. Some MLM programs sell products or services of now value at all, in which case they are literally pyramid schemes where the "product" is just a vehicle for the scam.

It is therefore worth considering what factors would cause a company to CHOOSE to market a product using MLM? Why not just sell like most high quality products are sold and distributed: on the shelf of reputable retailers. That's where most consumers buy products. Why miss out on that distribution channel, which by the way is much cheaper? The cost of distribution via retail outlets is lower than the cost of distribution via MLM, but the way.

In a nutshell, there are a few reasons a rational business would choose to market the product via MLM. Multi Level Marketing is needed by companies WHEN:

    1. They NEED people to pressure people they know including friends and family to buy the product. It won't just jump off the shelves in a retail store. In a MLM program, people have a financial incentive to convince people they know to buy the product, leading to aggressive "product evangelism."

    2. Respectable retailers WON'T put the products on the shelves, because they don't want to associate the product with their brand and reputation. For example, when Whole Foods chooses to sell a certain product on their shelves, they are essentially endorsing the product as good quality and worth buying. If consumers discover later that it's worthless, they will blame Whole Foods, which is why some products just can't get sold in stores....which makes MLM a better option.

So MLM is an expensive way to distribute products, in the sense that a large percentage of sales revenues are paid out in commissions. But if your product "doesn't sell itself," if it won't jump off the shelves at Whole Foods (or if Whole Foods won't even stock it) then MLM becomes the right option.

As a result, the type of product available via Multi Level Marketing tends to be lower quality, less reliable, and less reputable. Some may do what they claim....many don't. I hope the summary has helped you understand some of the reasons why this is.
Yes, your explanation very nicely explains why Multi Level Marketing products tends to be lower quality, less reliable, less reputable - and way more expensive - than their counterparts sold via traditional marketing methods.

    IsaGenix should be renamed IsaHungry

    Overall
Rated 3 out of 5Does IsaGenix work? Yes, in fact it does. Is it the healthiest weightloss method you could do? No. There were about 20 people that I work with who decided to do this program together. It was a mixture of starvation for the detox portion as well as not very tasty syrup that you had to mix wth a ratio of water and drink every couple of hours. This program also comes with a powdered shake, snacks, and some cleansing pills. I personally tried this program myself but couldnt make it longer than three days due to the taste of the detox product I had to mix with the water. There are few different programs you can choose depending on how many days you want to do the detox. For a 30 day supply the cost is around almost $400.00 and for a 9 day supply the cost is almost $200.00. A little pricey on for both products in my opinion. You could almost buy a piece of workout equiptment on ebay for that much money.....

    Isagenix is dangerous

    Overall
Rated 1 out of 5My wife wanted us to try the Isagenix 9-day cleanse. The first two days of pre-cleanse went ok; a couple of shakes and 1 sensible meal each day. The first cleanse day went ok although I didn't have much energy. The second day of cleanse was hell. Around 8:30 pm I starting feeling sick. I had to swerve off of a highway so I could spend the next 20 minutes throwing up. I don't mean to be gross, but after 2 days of eating nothing I really wonder what was all that white stuff I was throwing up. I actually felt better after throwing up but more fun was waiting for me at home. I barely made it to the bathroom to experience 10 minutes of bloody diarrhea.
There is no doubt this product cleans you out but it is at the expense of your stomach and intestinal linings. This product might work for some but after I get my money back I'm going to try eating better and exercise....

Made me break out in Hives!!!!!!

    Overall
Rated 2 out of 5Many of my friends tried IsaGenix Cleanse, some did well, some had little or no results. Because I had just finished some medication that made me feel unlike myself, dry hair, skin and added weight, I thought I would give it a try. Even without the weight loss it would get rid of the after effects of the medication, right? The program was hard to follow, I felt ill most of the time but was told this was normal because of the toxin release. Then, about 5 days before the end of the cleanse I broke out in hives, badly, and had to stop. (After going through extensive food allergy testing it was found this was the cause.) All in all felt like not worth it.

Among the side effects listed by various users are hunger, shaking, weakness, increased heart rate, diarrhea and vomiting among others. The diarrhea could lead to an electrolyte imbalance. That can lead to arrhythmia and worse. These supplements can be very dangerous and should be regulated and used under the supervision of a doctor or better yet not at all. Sensible food choices, sensible portions and some good old fashion strolls are much safer, cheaper and long term solutions to weight loss.

    Flabu-lessly Yours

One of the newer players on the market, a multi-level marketing company called Isagenix, has recently gained a lot of press. Isagenix promises health, wealth, and weight loss with their detoxification and internal cellular cleansing system. I let myself get suckered into this one last July. Over the next 6 weeks on the program, I lost a whopping 30 pounds! Well, needless to say, that got my attention -- but, so did the chronic diarrhea that went along with it! Oh, and don't forget the hunger pangs. I was constantly starving on this program because all you're allowed is two shakes a day, some herbal pills that are supposed to help you burn fat, two snacks (more on those later), and one "sensible" meal of your own choosing which, for me, usually meant some kind of salad with protein in it.
Think maybe it's those weird herbs that's causing the brown stuff to trickle down your pant leg?

A rather nasty way to lose weight - **** yourself thin.

... Oh, oh, and how could I forget the most amazing thing about Isagenix? You can buy an entire three-ring binder full of Isagenix success stories for the bargain price of $25! Like any other company that is trying to make a quick buck, Isagenix has plenty of people singing its praises. One of the most extraordinary claims I ever heard was that the folks who have achieved dramatic weight loss (in excess of 100+ pounds) on Isagenix have no loose skin! ABSOLUTELY NONE!! Imagine that! Now, this I would like to see! Although, I guess we'll never really know will we? Unless...maybe...hey, do ya reckon some of these folks might be pursuaded to take off their clothes on stage at the next Isagenix convention? Hmmm...just a thought...

Yeah, that loose skin thingy - that's always puzzled me.

You lose a hundred pounds and you're going to look like a Shar Pei, no two ways about it. Skin doesn't magically spring back.

Think maybe the "After" photo in the "Before & After" photos is actually the "Before" photo? You know, taken before they packed on all that lard?

    Hmmm...just a thought.
