On August 6, 2008 the North Carolina Attorney General's office announced a consent judgment with iMergent and StoresOnline, Inc.

On September 2, 2008 the Florida Attorney General's office announced a settlement with StoresOnline Inc and iMergent. According to the settlement, StoresOnline and iMergent must change their marketing practices and make refunds to more than 150 Florida consumers who filed complaints about the companies.
