Anyone teaching in China for at least a year knows about China ESL and all seven of their former alias names (Total ESL, China Groove, China Express, Dominics ESL Café, etc.) and know the following China ESL MO as well:

- Uses three names and websites (that I know of) to recruit teachers (China ESL, Total ESL, and now NEW LIFE ESL) If you are legit you only need one right?

- Tells her agents and staff to only use their "English" names or a fake Chinese name like "Michelle Zhang" the recruiter who hooked me.

- Tells her staff to only meet with teacher prospects at the KFC, UBS, or Costa Coffee close to the Xidan subway station - and never bring them to here office that has 8 company names listed next to the door.

- Uses a contract that openly tells the teacher they "will be blacklisted" if they quit or cause problems.

- Do not give the teachers a copy of their contracts unless they refuse to work without receiving it.

- Do not put chops (corporate seals) on their contracts

- Business cards of their recruiters have no addresses - only disposable free email addresses and a mobile phone number, and not even a logo!

- Why they only talk about visas on the phone and never in an email (the email would be evidence they are telling people to break the law)

- Why teachers NEVER get the job that was advertised and which they applied for? These people are the bait and switch champions of China.

- Why they never denied the accusations that their former employee "Becky" made in the thread started by "Bannoy" at thebeijinger.com or the one at fraudwatchers (Becky says that Rebecca hires a hacker to delete complaints on line or offers to advertise more ads on forums if the negative posts are deleted).

BUT WAIT! There is now allegedly a "new owner" of China ESL - a foreigner named David Valley who claims all the problems of the last eight years including the 1,200+ expat teachers who asked the China Minister of Justice to arrest and prosecute Dr. Rebecca Tang, were caused by one unnamed Chinese HR girl who he fired! (He makes this claim at eslwatch.info) Yet China Scam Patrol has confirmed that the government licensing bureau of Beijing (SAIC) insists that as of yesterday, Dr. Rebecca Tang remains the sole owner of the company. David Valley is just another foreign front man being used as was Craig Hill last year (It seems foreign teachers will believe another foreigner and not Chinese). David Valley is a traitor to every expat in China and every foreigner now seeking work in China. If you believe him or any of the fake reviews, you will end up like the people below...
