I am Thomas Ball, and I run planetwelfare.com as well as the adblessed
site with my partner Pete Lewis. I look after the general running, and am
more the face of the business and point of contact for members. Pete looks
after the mathematical and technical side of things.
I don't know if you are aware of the planetwelfare.com creation, but
adblessed is a spin off from that which has been launched first as we
wanted time to build a big membership in PW before the launch. Also
adblessed will serve as a minor benefactor to the PW welfare fund. If you
go and read the PW info on the site you will be a lot clearer.
In the past we ran a company forced multi-board cycler called
newyorkfortunes which did well and lasted over a month with supportive
launches, but we were twice brought to our knees by hackers performing sql
attacks in order to feed thousands of fake positions into the matrix
forcing undue cycling. This cost us a lot of money, but we did not leave
the members high and dry, even though a lot of people made a lot of money
in NYF we opted to comer to an arrangement to allow NYF members to migrate
their funds over to PW (something never offered by any admin in the past).
This is why we established the welfare fund in PW, this allows us to make
reparations rather than walk away with a 'it's a cycler... game over'
attitude.
We are learning at the moment and have gained a lot of experience thus far
and we continue to learn. Our belief is that as long as we keep on going
rather than admit defeat, then one day we will hit the right formula. We
don't believe that programs should die. We know it is not easy to keep a
program going more than a couple of months, we admit a lot of our
spin-offs will be short lived, we try to fool nobody, but with PW as a
nucleus beneficiary we can at least support one father site.
We are looking to come up with as many fresh ideas as possible, for
example, we are looking at merging a company cycler with a PTC site, which
will launch a set of small boards and PTC members will earn by surfing
paying member sites and earn positions in the matrix in limited sized
boards. There are sites out there with hundreds of thousands of surfers
getting $0.005 a click, we could give them more using a cycler position
for their efforts at x amount of clicks.
This is just one example of how we like to work creatively, and we know
that PW will grow very large once the message is out that we have
something that can sustain. PW will be the 'safety net' if you want to
call it that.
Currently we don't have phone support, but we are looking to add it to the
PW site as soon as we can find someone to look after it for 8 hours a day,
it also needs to be paid for. But we are determined to add it, so that
people can chat to a human. Myself and Pete are already working more than
15 hours a day each. Eventually we will ask members to take care of
support. This will help us grow rapidly. But at the moment we are a 2 man
band looking forward to the future.
Oh by the way, we are in Hounslow, London, UK
Thanks
Thomas.
