The more info that gets out, and the more complaints that are made, the better chance of closing the scammers down. Yes Noname999 is right. It is the National consumer agency for Ireland. I contacted them when my elderly uncle was scammed ito putting 1000euro into this ponzi. Their corporate section phoned me back to check the details of my complaint form. They have been and are investigating numerous complaints on bb.
I posted the below paragraph on another forum before I discovered this far more proactive forum.I hope you dont mind me re posting it here

"Just as an update to my previous post, regarding my elderly uncle getting scammed by this ponzi scheme. I have spent a good bit of today phoning different authorities, and filling forms of complaint against bannersbrokers. I have been informed that there have been numerous complaints against them, and that there is actually an ongoing investigation into Bannersbrokers. I would advise anyone who who has put money in this ponzi, who has not made the profit that was promised, who has been locked out of their account, who has been unable to contact banners support, who has been misled or made false promises by them, who has been unable to withdraw their money, who has been forced to upload licence or passport info, who has any complaint or concern about bannersbrokers ireland to contact in the first place Contact us form - National Consumer Agency.
The more intelligence they get on this mob the better. "

I wish more people would stumble upon this forum before getting suckered into their scam. Great detailed info on here.

I tried to post a reply, but i included a link for people to report their problems with bb. I think links not allowed for new members. So I repost it without the link.

Of course you are right Noname999. My uncle is nearly 70, and never used a computer. I only found out about it when he came to me asking if I knew how to upload his passport to bb!!! Of course alarm bells rang in my head. The guy who referred my uncle is his best friend. A man in his 70's. The slickers had evangelised these old guys with their lies.
I hope people who are thinking of "investing" in bb come accross this forum when they are checking out bb.

I know of similar stories. Referred to it some time back in this thread:

Alot of the recruitment is now offline. Trying to catch those who would be unable to check things out easily(mainly the elderly). I have even heard of door to door calls. Pure scum.

I remember seeing one story on the talkingbb forum where they said that on Halloween, kids came around, trick or treating and so they put a biz card in the bucket and got a phone call recruiting the parent into the team!

It would be sad to see this in any business as a marketing ploy.

The BB peeps naturally praised it up!

Sadly this is very true. For many it is seen as a small punt. If you don't know much about Ponzi schemes and trusted friends are telling you about it you think it may be worth a go.

This is how I got taken into it.

The reality is you do have to sign up and run with it to gain any full understanding. In mine and Poyol's case they just came across the wrong people who questioned everything.

There are still many people who genuinely believe it to be real still.

I also find one of their favourite sayings 'if you are sceptical its not for you' I.e. if you are going to question it, do one!

Came across this site. Note the last paragraph where it namedrops the Cola company as an advertiser, not necessarily directly Coca Cola but enough to imply it to a potential investor.

Only on phone so cannot get a screenshot if anyone else can.

I note this is one of Iain Sherriff's sites, a regular on TalkingBS

Here is another one. About half way down mentions them booking to go and photo the BB offices. However, no update to say whether they did it. Again a familiar story which was on TalkingBS once.

Ha ha, The best thing about this guys site is the Banners Broker banner at the bottom of his site isn't even a banner, it's an image of a banner.
He couldn't even put a Banners Broker ad on his own site, you know to get clicks and impressions & money and stuff.

Re: Banners Broker HYIP ponzi scam

    Here you go Phil

"Chris' initial target for BB was to take some the $37.9 billion advertising revenue (2011 figures) from Google." LOL He easily achieved that target me must have taken nearly $10 from Google's profits.

Make extra income with your Advertising campaign

    What is Bannersbroker ?

Bannersbroker International is an Internet Advertising Company run by Canadian marketing entrepeneur Chris Smith. Chris’ Mission Statement for BB is

    “Changing lives around the world”.

Chris' initial target for BB was to take some the $37.9 billion advertising revenue (2011 figures) from Google. As you browse the ‘net you will see countless adverts appear, targeted to your buying habits. These are probably Google Ads and are placed directly by Google. You will also see Ads in the same format as Newspaper Ads…………..like, for example, an advert for Toyota on an Autotrader page.

These adverts are placed on space bought and sold in an auction system. A major corporation, say a Cola supplier, wants to place a million ‘net ads a month. They put this business to tender at the auction. The winning bidder goes to an Ad placement company, like Clicksor, and contracts them to place the Ads. Profit depends, not only on the amount paid to Clicksor being less that the amount tendered at the auction but on the volume of ads being bought and sold. Like any other business a higher volume enables a better price. The volume of ‘net Ads available in the auction system is growing rapidly as more people globally get access.

Less than one third of world population owned a computer in 2011. Chris realised that the amount BB could buy was only limited by the capital it had available.

His brilliant solution was to allow affiliates to join BB by purchasing Advertising Inventory. The money we pay for inventory allows BB to buy and sell more Ad space, which in turn allows them to pay a good rate of commission to affiliates………….this is were the Mission Statement comes in.

You can change your life with Bannersbroker.

Along with the Ad Inventory you buy you get access to Advertising and Publishing space that allows you to choose how you run your own Net Advertising Business. You can sit back and let BB do most of the work and still achieve good results.

Or you can use the BB system to pro-actively drive traffic to your business and achieve fantastic results……………

or to monetise a web site. (by putting Adverts on your website)

or to advertise an existing business. (by putting your adverts on other websites)

All the while BB is busy buying and reselling Ad space to fill the Inventory you have bought. To make life simple BB call this Inventory “Panels”. Your Panels represent a portion of BB's Net Advertising space and as your space fills up BB pay you commission on it. When a panel is full your commission will be equal to the amount you paid for it. BUT because BB continue to earn from Ads on that space they reward you further by giving you another Panel.

As BB gave you this new panel free you need to buy Traffic to fill it. Every Affiliate in BB has a Mentor to help and guide then if needed. This helps BB continue to grow and they reward us for that. You can have a successful BB business without being a Mentor but if you help the people you refer grow their business faster BB rewards you with free traffic, allowing you to reach your goals sooner.

You can join the 160,000+ existing Bannersbroker Affiliates.

    Questions/Answers

How do I put money into BB? Via Allied Wallet ( https://www.alliedwallet.com/ )

How do I get money out of BB? BB has it's own pre paid card. Use it as your present Visa or Mastercard.

What if I don't like those methods? There are new methods coming on stream.

How can I meet present BB members? There are official meeting around the UK and you can meet Chris at any of the BB World Tour dates, starting Dublin end November 2012.

It looks too complicated for me? It's not but you will have a mentor (me!) to help if you need it. BB also give the option of a Proffesional Management team to run your account.

Where does Bannersbroker get its money from? From buying and reselling Internet Advertsing business.

Why can't I find any Adverts placed by Bannersbroker? Because BB sell the business on to Ad Placement companies. You may see “Clicksor” or similar on an AD but the “Cola company” doesnt want anyone else's name on the Ads.

More Sherriff, trying to flog his Ponzi to his "friends"

    How does Bannersbroker (BB) work
When you join BB you buy Advertising Inventory that represents a portion of BB's Net Advertising space and rent it back to BB. BB call this space “Panels”.

They sell the space to an advertiser. BB use top 10 Net Ad placement companies like Clicksor.

BB put income from that Ad space into your Panel until it reaches it's target. From this point on BB keep all the revenue from that space BUT they give you another Panel of the same size and they put the original cost of the Panel back into your BB eWallet. As the money in your eWallet grows you have the choice of taking it as income (to your High Street Bank or onto a pre-paid card) or of buying some more Ad Inventory and starting the process again, doubling the size of your business at each stage.
This business model is allowing BB fast growth. BB's aim is to take some of the multi billion dollar revenue from Google Ads. We (BB Affiliates) are helping to fund the growth by owning the space (Panels) that BB sell to Advertisers to generate the revenue required to make BB a successful and viable long term business.
For more detail (maybe too much !) and useful videos try the BB site I am setting up at bannersaffiliate.com

You will find good and bad posted on the BB UK support forum talkingbb.com. New affiliates sometimes panic at the start of things but they get answers from people who have been in BB from the start. An unfortunate side effect of this is Internet Trolls skimming and misquoting text on “Scam” sites but at least you know you are reading both sides of a balanced view.
The UK support forum is for BB members only so you need to sign up before you can get in.

Go to bannersbroker.com/danceteacher (that is Ros' account introduction page) click the link and sign up (no fee/no commitment/nothing in it for Ros but you can only sign up by being introduced). There is also a lot of info and videos on the BB site while you are there.

If you are interested in BB and want to get started register an account at Allied Wallet then you can fund your BB eWallet via a Visa card.

Or if you want to know more........ iain.sherriff@gmail.com 01886833253

I'm not going to try and sell it to you. If it's not for you, fine.
In April I didn't think it was for me BUT luckily a friend (already a BB member) funded me a small account ($147). I have let it grow (apart from taking out ($147 to do the same for Sarah last month) and it now (September) stands at $1600. I will not take any more income now for a couple of months as my target income is $2000 a month.
Put simply if you reinvest your earnings for four months you can then take out each month what you started with and it will still grow, or you can choose your monthly income by continuing to reinvest until you reach a target you are happy with.

    Iain.
(I thought BB was a good home for some of a recent PPI payout so Ros is enjoying a BB income as well now)

Love this comment - so hiding away on a secret happy clappy forum where no one is allowed to criticise BB is giving a balanced view?

.Also locking accounts and forcing people to not discuss this on the world wide web gives a balanced view?
