The range of places where you can put your (BB!) advert into a campaign has been extended and appears to include genuine websites. For those of you who are able to access a BB account, it's worth having a look at for further information.

It is so very frustrating to see my friend still in a state of belief about this whole sorry situation, thinking that it will allow him to retire early when I know it is going to end in heartbreak. This frustration boiled over yesterday and I apologise for my comments on an earlier post. Practical steps always useful for those who are afraid of what may happen after the event.

Why do they need 5 security questions?

Even my highly strung bank only asks for 2!

Sounds like they could be harvesting security answers to go with all those personal details they've been collecting...

When you consider that most people tend to limit their choices of passwords and security questions, that info would make identity theft easier for the unscrupulous...

Just some basic content but full of ads. Only the ads are not ads at all but links to banners broker, place your ad here site.

On google info states 'just another WordPress site'

looking forward to seeing the whois and ranking info from those that can get thus info.

Do you honestly think there is a market out there, for a list of hundreds of to=housands of peoples driving lice.ces/passports, their top 5 internet security questions and the pin codes for their bank cards?? come on lol

Just to add a further thought re the PIN and security questions. Apparently you can't change the answers (or questions) more than once. That's it. In this day and age that's really cr*p. So you're basically stuffed aren't you. Some people will have worked out how to get round that I am sure.

If I find out any more, I'll let you know.

Egzactly ...except lousy 3000 - 4000 $ for every verified passport....let say only 10 000 are with verified passport and you get 40 000 000 $...you right..who would even make a step for this few coins

Add in the fact many of the Banners Broker members are also dealing through unlicensed off shore based payment processors and you have the potential for not only identity theft, but also bank account stripping on a massive scale.

My take on it all? Well it’s not so much a choice network as a pretend network.

It’s evident to me that, with the exception of stteps.com, they’re not what you would consider to be real, viable websites. Rather, they’re just a bunch of mock-ups (all hosted at one dedicated IP, incidentally). That said, they’re sufficiently well-worked to convince the faithful at a glance it’s a network of genuine sites.

They mostly exhibit the same characteristics: basic layout; ‘borrowed’ pictures; 'filler' text; dud links. And some of those names! I mean, would an astute online marketer really expect to attract boatloads of visitors to a site they called Overheard At Eaton Centre, or Swag Bite, or Career Donkey (how... er... asinine), or Uncleanse Me ("What? Make me dirty, you mean?"), or... you have to laugh... Extremely Bad Advice. I can hear you thinking now: "Yeah, extremely bad advice from that friend who got me into BB".

I understand other detractors’ concerns have been waved away with the claim that the Choice Network is only in ‘test mode’. Well, that really doesn’t wash; it’s offered on the BB site as if it’s a collection of real, fully functioning, trafficked sites.

Moreover, as far as I can see, the banners throughout are either pitching BB itself, or begging for new BB advertisers, or promoting other Choice sites; no third-party advertisers.

Those of you who are more internet savvy might know the webmaster’s slang term for sites (usually p0rn) that give you the runaround, irritatingly sending you from one site... to another site... to another site... to another site... all on the same network.

Yes, they call it a circle jerk.

I'm replying to Julie D's extensive list etc of the websites. Thanks for having a look. I am certainly not internet-savvy enough to work out all the connections, so I am really impressed.

I *did* however sit and watch my mate set up an "ad campaign" today. In reality it was to (cough) drive business to *his* BB website. What I was told was that a previous campaign has brought business to him through using the previous list of websites available through BB.

Can you explain to me (in simple language) just HOW such a campaign would work? I realise this is probably a daft request and someone somewhere is just manipulating the figures, but it would help me understand a little bit more. Thank you.
