So they won't answer their questions either. I don't feel so bad now!

Whats even more heartless about targetting the old. Its not long before they leave this mortal coil and the money stays in BB. For BB, the older the better.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, BUT :-

Miss/Mrs Bento's case in India is now showing up on the courts system under The "District and Sessions Court, Panaji".
Previously it only showed up under a fast track court of Mapusa.

The case status is showing as Pending, then in brackets "ADMITTED".

Maybe I'm adding 1+1 and getting 1,000, but that looks to me as if she's ADMITTED the charges.

Look for yourself at The District and Subordinate Judiciary of North Goa

You want case status/party name in the menu on the left.

A good article other than a couple of out of date or incorrect points. It is essentially a Canadian operation and Ian Driscoll has obviously left!

I will contact them to mention it.
Good article, other than the picture of Driscoll is missing. Was it left out/removed because he has left BB?

I HOPE she's admitted it, but I've a nasty feeling that "ADMITTED" simply means admitted to the Sessions Court for judicial consideration.

The article would indicate they did not know Ian had left. I thought they may have gone into a bit more detail and researched some of the other info I gave them. It basically tells my story.

I look forward to the letter from BB's crack team of lawyers

I agree with you Phil. What they have really done is given your opinion. They are covering themselves. Still good to get publicity though.

You might be waiting a while for that letter though....

Yes any bit of adverse publicity against bb is welcome. A lazy bit of investigation by mirror though. They didnt go into it in any depth. Not a word of the charging of bb head in India. Hope all the other investigations going on are not so superficial. Well done Phil. Keep plugging away.

Re: Banners Broker HYIP ponzi scam

To Julie Diligent ... thanks for posting the Daily Mirror link on MoreMoneyReview. I'm re-posting my contribution here for the benefit of any "newbies" (apologies to "old hands"!) ...

Have you watched Dragons’ Den? It's a UK TV show which involves a business person asking the “dragons” (a group of multi-millionaires) for an investment in the business person’s enterprise, in return for the Dragons getting a percentage of the enterprise’s future profits. The percentage negotiated usually ranges from 25% to 50%.

In exchange for that percentage, the Dragons give their ongoing expertise, in terms of marketing, advice, introduction to contacts, guidance and time.

Essentially, the Dragons invest their money for an average 37.5% IN RETURN for their time, their expertise, their contacts, their experience, and the RISK that all this (plus ALL their financial investment!) could go down the pan.

Compare this to BB, who offer to DOUBLE your money … but in return you take no risk, you give no time (apart from a few mouse clicks) and you give no expertise. In fact, you do NOTHING for your money.

Well sunshine, let me tell you something about the real world. There is no such thing as a one-sided deal. In the REAL world, money is exchanged for something of equal value. There is, of course, one exception. That exception is a Ponzi scheme, where entrants to the scheme are paid from the money of later entrants.

Which works well … until the supply of new entrants begins to dry up.

Now the shills are showing up on the mirror site comments. Personal attacks seem to be their only form of defense against the evidence.

Well you got scammed by BB. And instead of slinking off embarrased and silent, as have so many, you started fighting back. As has Phil. They dont like that. The only reaction from them then is personal attacks. I notice lately a hint of hysteria in their comments.

Leave them at it. Any neutral can see how stupid they look. Just don't get into an argument with them. Let them turn people off. It saves us a job.

Re: Banners Broker HYIP ponzi scam

I saw the comment by 'John' on the Mirror page saying that this benefits my business. Not really, if anything it is a negative for me. It doesn't look particularly great that an accountant can get duped into something like Banners Broker.

That said I do feel that articles like that and the Sunday World one go some way to defending the previous character defamation and show it up to be a falsehood. My online reputation will now be better because of this.

I would say I agree there seems to be a lack of BB affiliates defending the system lately and it does seem to be more of a personal attack; however, I have seen some evidence of this on the antiBB people as well. That is why I have not posted much lately, much prefer to stick to dealing with BB issues that name calling and idle mocking.

Msg from one of the pioneers in the UK! Met lorrenzo last night in manchester one of the BB founders he says we aint seen nothing yet, there are alot of improvements and exciting changes to come and BB is just starting to find its feet, spoke about they are planning on being around for the next 20 years so we are all going to be loaded, good times ahead! (*) :)
He also said ignore the negativity online and get on with our businesses and they are going to have a bit of a blogging war, by having BB writing negative blogs about the negative bloggers which should be fun.
[07:39:48] michael.dalziel46: Lots to be excited about everyone and it was great meeting one of the founders whos been there at the beginning when there were just 6 of them in a room working this amazing business out, also the feedback on how BB has changed lives around the world and Lorrenzo said the success of the BB business is due to US the affiliates and our hard work, so that was great to hear. His wife also said they are working hard to improve and streamline the company and sort out alot of issues going forward, so again very exciting and very optimistic about what a great business we're in! :D -Sharon James

So, no "crack team of lawyers" then? Just more badly-written insults on Facebook pages. Very professional.

But wait, so now there was a team of 6 founders? Wasn't the claim that it was just Chris Smith? Suddenly there are 6 of them. That wouldn't happen to be the same 6 people who were behind ICF World Homes, would it by any chance?

    That's cool.

Any false claims put up about me will be dealt with by way of a cease and desist letter.

Oh dear, I think you're probably right as after checking out other cases, some had been marked as "disposed".

Before I posted the information, I considered what admitted could have stood for (hence the disclaimer), but after pondering on it for a while, thought it much more likely to have been "submitted".

One thing I won't willingly do is to post false information, If I make a mistake, I try and correct it.

If only BB and some of it's members would do the same. [sigh].

Ah, they are going to blog are they?, that will be brilliant as we can challenge them on their own blogs.

Two things to bear in mind if this ever happens (remember they're con men) and they allow comments.

    1) If you're a member of BB and leave neg feedback on their blog, even if you use a different "handle", they could probably find out who you are.

    2) They will delete negative posts from their own blogs, all you have to do is screen capture as soon as you've posted, then when they take your posting down, come on here and tell us about it, including of course the screenshot.

If their blog ever materializes, it will help us show them for what they are.

Think again Raj, another bad move, we'll haul you over the coals again.

Chris Smith, now there is a mystery for you. Why do BB , instead of dealing with the simple questions asked, resort to juvenile attacks on the internet??

We know there is a man referred to as Chris Smith, why is it so difficult for anyone to give us a history. I'm sure, like myself, many of you would have trawled the net looking for some smidgen of info to support the BB claims of 'math guru', but nothing, diddly nada! There is no shame is saying that he left after high school, if that were the case, we would get that!

Just made me wonder, with Raj Dixit's shady past and connection to ICF World Homes so available, and much out there about many BB 'top dogs', what is there to hide about a genuine Chris Smith. Unless of course the gentleman wheeled out at the Gala's is in fact not really named Chris Smith.

If someone was posing under a different name, I wonder what in legal terms would this mean? Deception, impersonation, ID theft ??

    What do you think?

Perhaps the simplest way to deal with this is to compile a short list of questions for any rebuttal, such as

who is Chris Smith, what's his past
what sites do BB advertise on
    etc

instead of playing games with them, just keep on asking the same 4/5 questions over and over. Surely anyone considering using BB to provide their ' pension, cough' would even wonder why a few simple questions couldn't be answered?
