Re: Banners Broker HYIP ponzi scam
Wow, that is absolutely amazing - rest assured that is not me talking on TalkGold.com thanks for linking me Poyol
Firstly, I always use the hendyphilhendy name on loads of forums that I frequent. That picture is a very old one, that has clearly come from my website! Secondly the language and text is not my style at all.
Should I be flattered or worried that someone is falsifying my identity!

If you remove 2 out of 3 methods of being "paid" from BB and you live in a country that doesn't accept the pre-payment card (which appears to be the ONLY method now), how are you supposed to get any money out?
Wah! Always happy to learn.

Its a simple conclusion to come to - it is my name and my picture! I have posted a defensive post on there.
Not sure what I can do about this; however, this must surely come under some kind of legal issues. Pretending to be me in order to defacate my name?

Phil,
See What is the law on impersonating another person on Facebook? it's about Facebook but I'm sure it will apply.

I don't really frequent any other forums; however, if anyone can see this happening on the other ones you go to please let me know so that I can compile the evidence.
As it happens, whoever has done this has not been particularly derogatory as yet but I do worry that it may impact on my Accountancy business and particularly if people search me on Google etc.
Does anyone know the techy ways of identifying IP's etc. of people that may help me identify the impersonator?

The only way to trace that particular offender is to ask the forum administrator for their IP address - you may require a court order for them to do this.

THEN, there's no way of saying if that IS their actual IP address - they can hide behind proxies etc.
You'd then need to go to the proxy provider - who usually will not provide details.
If you got their IP you'd need to go to their ISP - who would need a court order to tell you who that is.
Then, and only then - would you realise that it's probably someone who's not in this country and cannot be held accountable to UK law.

Rest assured, when you're talking about Talkgold, you WILL require a court order, and, even then will have the devils' own job to actually access the information.
Talkgold exists for one reason and one reason only.
That is, it supports and promotes illegal HYIP ponzi scams.
What's more, it has been doing so for many years with apparent impunity.
One can only imagine the corporate and legal shenanigans that take place behind the scenes to protect both it's owners and the advertisers who so blatantly hawk their illegal activities on TG
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

You have however told him to carry on - giving him permission to impersonate you!

Very true, that was not a delibarate comment - in any case the imposter has now been banned.
As I said to the person that dealt with it I am not interested in an intra forum argument, my gripe is with BB so I will thank them for their swift resolve
I will be on the lookout to see if it happens on other fora elsewhere.

Re: Banners Broker HYIP ponzi scam
I think it may be connected to this 4N profile as the post was at the same time as the TalkGold one Do you have any experience of Banners Broker? They have used the photo from my 4N profile on the Talkgold site.
It appears, and that is what the talkgold mod thinks, is that it is a person who has a gripe against RealScam rather than BB

With a bit of due diligence you can find who's who.
Gloria is the older lady in the second link, seemingly Raj's mother/G.mother due to Raj's partner being quite a bit younger.
I won't get her involved in this as she has nothing to do with it.

Jason obviously doesn't trust BB enough to link it to his 'real' business. Oh wait, the blog...

No they are not the same. Look at the lower lip and the size of the face. At least that is my opinion.

Also, if you look at the left ear, they seem to be different.
