Re: Americans serving Americans scam
I don't think the law could be any more clear on how this is supposed to work when a promoter is taking money from the general public.

c. Transactions Conducted Through an Intermediary
Each Regulation Crowdfunding offering must be exclusively conducted through one online platform. The intermediary operating the platform must be a broker-dealer or a funding portal that is registered with the SEC and FINRA.
4. Limits on Advertising and Promoters
An issuer may not advertise the terms of a Regulation Crowdfunding offering except in a notice that directs investors to the intermediary’s platform
7. Bad Actor Disqualification
Rule 503 of Regulation Crowdfunding includes “bad actor” disqualification provisions that disqualify offerings if the issuer or other “covered persons” have experienced a disqualifying event, such as being convicted of, or subject to court or administrative sanctions for, securities fraud or other violations of specified laws.

According to this article 43% of the deals on Shark Tank fell apart. With zero disclosure from ASA it's impossible to know what to make of the investments allegedly made. Although something tells me the Eagles will want their cut before the masses get paid.

Venture capital funds do show good returns for the risk taken, but not as good as ASA claims to be able to pay to investors. Additionally, its hard to fathom how David Ashby could know in advance how much he can return.

Re: Americans serving Americans scam
Most people will get to the end of the year and realize no $20,000 payday will be forthcoming. Since claims are this isn't an MLM or Pyramid those that wait for verifiable execution by David Ashby are at no disadvantage. For instance in the below video it's asserted that ASA will invest in five reputable franchises per month. So far as I can see they are five reputable franchise per month short.

For "Example Purposes Only" a favorite ASA disclaimer.

Ah shucks Ribbie. You took a perfectly good "story" and then ruined it with "real facts." Shame on you. You are just spoiling it for all those members who want to get their friends to join with them when they read your post. Now they are going to have to work harder to convince them to join. You should be ashamed of yourself.
By the way, GOOD JOB of exposing this scam.
