Holy **** Tank - half of that beijinger thread just vanished! It looks like most of the users who post criticisms or proof of Gi2c fraud were zapped into oblivion (that two blocks left of nowhere before you get to the third traffic light after you turn right at the boonies). Just wonderful. What a difference a biased mod can make heh?

This here below I found and stole from scam-detector.com and identifies yet another "satisfied customer" of Gi2c! This is definitely worth reading: http://scam-detector.com/forums/foru...?p=775#post775 shocked:

I am on the CSP mailing list and they just released some more photos taken by their Gi2C former employee informant of inside the Beijing Gi2C call center. As you can see they really exaggerated on the number of employees they claim to have... Also for a good laugh, see here: Gi2c China Internship Scam - Complaint Blog

These photo are from a China Scam Patrol report concluded in early May and shows the Beijing cal.jpg

Wow, there are now 8 (eight) threads mentioning "GI2C".

    http://www.realscam.com/search.php?searchid=25402

And 14 (fourteen) mentioning the "CFTU".

    http://www.realscam.com/search.php?searchid=25408
Last edited by nomaxim; 05-23-2015 at 03:00 PM. Reason: Added CFTU info.

Re: Warning: Gi2c China Internship - Just Another China Job Scam - But Pricey!

Google "China Internships" and over 2,000 links will pop up and almost half of them can be traced to just two of the largest and longest-running scams scams going in China that has probably bilked a few million dollars from college kids. Frankly, I think all these sharks who feed on naive university grads deserve 100 threads each, until they well known to everyone. And the only person who mentions the CFTU is your pal from scam.com - Stefano the troll. This is the same lunatic that insisted Little Roundman, Whip, Ribshaw, Nomaxim, Tank, and myself were all the same guy on page two remember? The same morom who was caught impersonating 8 people at the Beijinger, and the same guy who claimed Winnie Maliko (easily found at Linked) was not a real person, or victim even after she posted your emails, invitation letter, and apology letter from Gi2c. My dog is a more credible source.

The more interesting thing is that Maximus at Scam Detector has now traced complaints about Gi2c back to 2010 with this link here I live in China now and my neighbor works for an " online review" company and her job is to sign up companies in China who pay a monthly subscription rate of $500 (she gets a 20% commission) and when the customers submit reviews the best ones go on page one and the really nasty and negative ones go on page 5 or 10 where most people never go. She told me that if the clients have only a couple good reviews, the review company will charge them $1,000 to create one, $1,500 for two, or $2,000 for three. They even have a team that writes positive articles in English and Chinese about the company to make them look good and then will link them with Google adwords so when a google search is done, only the positive stuff pops up. They do all the hotels and hostels in China but I am sure there is a similar company that does China internships, China Schools etc. So when you google a company expect to find the truth hidden on pages 5-20 and ignore all the pop-up since those are paid ads. If you dig down to page 15 you will even find obscure but helpful stuff like this Gi2c China Internship Scam - Complaint Blog My neighbor makes over $5,000 a month and she says she is one of five sales reps one one team of three and they only do one Province, so you can see just how much time and money companies pay to hide their pimples. Have you already forgotten the Yelp! scandal? and when you combine all the information about the secret Pakistan call center, fake names being used, company names being changed twice and the basic confessions received from "Visitor", "Witness", "Miroslav" (at Scam Detector and ESLWatch.inf0) this company is blatant scam.

But even without all of the above, any company that would tell me I have to lie on my Visa application form and to the visa officers, is not an honest company to be trusted. The only reason they remain in business (IMO) is because of the below which I found at studentroom.co.uk...

Btw... take a look at the photos of the Gi2C offices two posts above this one and you will see they are just like two other witnesses and myself described two weeks ago, Alos count the employees in their office.

Last, if you are not sick of reading about this scam by now, look at all the documentation the allegedly "non-existent" Gi2c victim Winnie Maliko posted on this page GI2C.org and other China internship Scams Exposed By Former U.K. Employee... - Scam Detector Forums and her comments at real-scam.com. If it walks like a duck... and this is one scam where the waddle is obvious.

Re: Warning: Gi2c China Internship - Just Another China Job Scam - But Pricey!

    Some interesting developments:

    (1) According to this new China visa law, I just figured out why Gi2c tells their customers to lie on their visa application forms and in the interviews - China internships are now illegal for foreigners who are not in one of three official categories (see 2 below) Here is the official news: CHINA: China Eliminates Internship and Training Visas for Most Foreign Students | Global Immigration News

    (2) The Chinese government only accepts real interns from one of three categories explained here: Beware Of China Internship visa Scams | antifraudintl.org

    (3) I found some massive censorship going on at thebeijinger.com where I attempted to post some of the links and screen shots here in this thread and they were deleted within 15 minutes! When I tried to log back in, my user name was blocked. Winnie Maliko the Gi2c customer/victim had previously posted her comments and some documents there (letter of apology from Gi2c) and they are also now missing in action. I also grabbed this image file from the same TBJ thread about 10 days ago, and now it is also gone. Amazing what an expat forum will do to protect one of their own advertisers.

Latest Rumor is that "Tommy" the arrested Gi2C employee, is no longer officially an "employee" but still hangs out at the Gi2C Beijing office. I also picked up the attached files below from Max at Scam-Detector which proves this Gi2c gang has been rustling uni students for at least 5 years and the complaints below that go back to 2010, 2011, and 2012 are 1-3 years B E F O R E the alleged "disgruntled employee" was hired on by the company. BTW, I am collecting screen shots from thebeijinger.com that were deletd before their magic thread was edited from 167 posts down to 65 in less than a week. Thankfully some of the statements of victims and witnesses are still hear at real scam as well as Fraud Warning...Gi2C and Other China Job Internship Scams - Beware People! (1/6) - ESLwatch - ESLwatch - Information, News, Forum and School Reviews and GI2C.org and other China internship Scams Exposed By Former U.K. Employee... - Scam Detector Forums

And my spouse figured out why they make all their customers lie on their visa applications... CHINA: China Eliminates Internship and Training Visas for Most Foreign Students | Global Immigration News

A quick reminder to anyone thinking about China Internships...

According to Chinese Visa laws most all China Internship programs for expats today are ILLEGAL (Read here CHINA: China Eliminates Internship and Training Visas for Most Foreign Students | Global Immigration News) And here is what can happen to you if you go through with a Gi2c program or any other illegal China intersnhip program: Beware Of China Internship Visa Scams | antifraudintl.org

Any company or agent that asks you to pay any money - even $10 to get you a job or internship in China is a scam - period.

The good news is that the only legal internships in China are 100% FREE as explained in these links below.

    http://chinainternshipreviews.wordpress.com

Free China Internships Without Scams - DIY!

    http://www.job-hunt.org/employers/Fo...ernships.shtml

    http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum...cams-no-really

As for the troll in this thread "Stefano" he has yet to prove anything he ever claimed, has accused admin and five long time realscam veteran users including Nomaxim, Whip, myself, Ribshaw, and Seattle, of being all the same person (because they disagreed with him) and is himself a convicted felon who created a fraud thread at thebeijinger where he impersonated five different people!

Also, anyone who examines thebeijinger situation will see that there were at one time, 167 posts, which have been censored down to roughly 70 in favor of protecting the reputation of an advertiser - Gi2C. THey are norious for their creative editing and were caught 6 months ago covering up for the biggest scam in China called China ESL owned by a woman named Rebecca Tang. Re: Warning: Gi2c China Internship - Just Another China Job Scam - But Pricey!

Just submitting an update from my former colleague at Gi2c... Yuri just hired an SEO guy to start pumping out five blogs a week to push all the negative posts to page 4-10 of Google if his hacker friend "Boris" cannot delete them like he did to so many others. And he just corrupted the "Totally Expat" link mentioned by Tank so here is a replacement link that explains just how illegal their internship programs are according to Chinese laws CHINA - China Eliminates Internship and Training Visas for Most Foreign Students > Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP - Corporate Immigration and Beware Of China Internship Visa Scams | antifraudintl.org

Max at scam-detector came up with some of our old business cards that show how Yuri always tried to full people into thinking we had 8 offices around the world. He just took it off the website about a month ago but you can see it is well documented at http://chinascampatrol.wordpress.com, and off course on the old business cards (not the new ones since he knows he is being scrutinized lately). I also heard he is paying some American guy to troll around all the scam reporting sites to confuse people. I am trying to get more details.

Well I think is just a few more nails in the coffin of Gi2C - the brochure they give to companies they want to accept their interns. It seems they lie to everyone - their interns, their employees, and even the companies who cooperate with them! I wonder if anyone asks them for references at the universities? They probably have shill deans and fake professors to take inquiry calls fro them too! Well, at least Yuri can't deny this one - his signature is on it!

It's obviously for everyone that all this thread was created and running now by one insane person. Yes. Anthony DiCarlo, it's you. I just happy to say that finally you have your own personal Ripoff report, you are welcome.
Btw, seems like you have real problem with finding job after I exposed you at TBJ with scion, otherwise how else could you find enough time to smear all this crap over the Internet?

But it's OK. I recommend to everybody who is really interesting in internship programs in China read following articles, at least you'll find our what's going on from trustworthy sources.
    Examiner.com
    technosyncratic
    Maiden Voyage Travel Blog
    Sloshspot
    Neverendingfootsteps
    Two Monkeys Travel

Of course it's not gonna be useful for multiple Anthony's alias but who knows, maybe one day real person would love to take a look at this thread...

Re: Warning: Gi2c China Internship - Just Another China Job Scam - But Pricey!

Well I just got done looking at all the sites given to us by Naoki and I am not surprised that they all feature the CEO of Gi2c who either wrote the content or paid for it. I think people these days are not stupid and will catch on to their m.o. of self-promotion. This piece below I found at studentroom.com which maybe explains why we should never believe any of those wonderful reviews that give so much praise to a company that has five years of complaints online which scam-detector has proven in the last two weeks.Gi2c China Internship Scammers Hired Hackers To Delete Negative Comments On Internet - Scam Detector Forums So if you want to blame that guy Bruce or Anthony, how do you account for the 32 months of complaints that were posted online BEFORE he was hired by Gi2C?

"I live in China now and my neighbor works for an " online review" company and her job is to sign up companies in China who pay a monthly subscription rate of $500 (she gets a 20% commission) and when the customers submit reviews the best ones go on page one and the really nasty and negative ones go on page 5 or 10 where most people never go. Have you already forgotten the Yelp! scandal?"

FYI... My former colleague at Gi2c tells me they stopped using the Pakistan boiler room, but are now quietly looking for another one in The Philippines or Thailand. They also just stopped using this brochure since a spotlight was just focused on it here at real-scam. And they are now starting to delete a lot of the fake testimonials like the one below. So it looks like they are cleaning up their trail of scamming as soon as it is pointed out at some scam reporting site. I guess we would all do the same if we ripped people off for a living! Tommy still works for the company but is not allowed to hang out in the office.

They also changed their pricing and took that "94% Approval Rating" off of their website. At least they are starting to look more legitimate on-line. I was given a list of 300 people called by Gi2c, including those below people that did business with Gi2c and their contact info which I sent to China Scam Patrol. If realscam.com wants to call or email them and do a survey, just PM for their contact details. I will get another 500 customers later this week since my friend just left Gi2c. I was told that because of the publicity realscam gave them, their sales are down almost 70% from last year - proof that realscam.com works in warning people. Congratulations! Here are a handful of those Gi2C customers. I am not going to put all 300 here,

Natalie Ribas Mantovani of Brazil Tel: 551-298-1310-077*
Amresh Subramaniam of Malaysia (just wanted China visa) Tel: 1312077102*
    William Sam Billy-Pedro of U.K. Tel: 0793052011*
Vladyslav Kromenko of Ukraine (just wanted China visa to escape war draft) Tel: 1217819761*
Yang Cui American citizen Tel: 630-854-753*
Robert George Byrne of the U.K. Tel: 44 77930185*7
Katie Anne Telfer of Scotland - offered placement at AVI Capital Tel: 075845523*2
Ana Tersea Rojos of Portugal - decided Gi2C was a scam Tel: 3519131084*
Andre Dorofei of Romania Tel: 3161195451*
Shawai Shabir of the U.K. Tel: 079-1097973*
Beatriz Calvo of Spain - thought Gi2C was "too good to be true - took job in Spain instead" Tel: 34 6691952*5
Michael Mazur of Germany Tel: 15109926777*

Now if you count up their Gi2c testimonials, you will find 34 online that involve real interns (they were offered a $500 discount or free Chinese lessons to make the video) and 12 that are fake like the "Sarah Roberts" video. See below. So, out of 3,000+ interns they have serviced over the last 7 years, less than 1% were willing to give a testimonial. What do you think the other 99% would say about them? Btw...Gi2c fraud victim Winnie Maliko who was told to lie on her visa application by Gi2c staff can be contacted directly at her Linked page or at WinnieMaliko@g****.com Steve Brown the former Gi2c webmaster can be contacted at shaolin.steve@*mail.com, and the former consultant Bruce/Anthony who resigned right after Steve and was one of 22 resignations can be contacted directly at adm888mda@y***o.com - just in case anyone thinks anything I say is fabricated or I am the "envious competitor" Yuri tried to blame two months ago before he started to blame the former consultant as well. And the person playing the role of "Sarah Roberts" is a Gi2c employee named Isis whose photo is at eslwatch.info in the update section on Gi2c. The only photo I have of her is us together at a company party and I will look for it.

Re: Warning: Gi2c China Internship - Just Another China Job Scam - But Pricey!

I found this at another scam reporting site from a former Gi2C "Consultant" which like the attached pdf file is worth a read IMO...

"My name is Bruce/Anthony – the person thebeijinger.com and the Gi2C troll “Stefano” have been trying to smear in recent months. To be clear, I am not a “wanted pedophile” in any country and I have worked in the past as a U.S. federal agent, an air traffic controller, an honorably-discharged military vet. and an Executive for a Fortune 500 company trading on NYSE. Unfortunately, I also worked as a consultant to Gi2C which took me a year to realize was a scam because many things were hidden from me – including the Pakistan boiler room operation. After 1 year and three months I resigned as did Steve Brown, the company webmaster, as did 13 other Gi2C employees because of five incidents:

    1. A senior employee named Tommy Liu was arrested for visa fraud by the PSB right in the office. I was there when they cuffed him and took him away along with his computer hard drive.

    2. One of the employees complained to me that the owner was forcing her to illegally forge an invitation letter using photoshop.

    3. Steve Brown and I discovered that about 80% of the internship vacancies Yuri was posting on line were fabrications.

    4. Many Gi2C employees including Fay, Tracy, Naomi, Abbie, etc were being cheated on their pay checks.

    5. I discovered during my last week at the office that Gi2C customers were being told to lie on their visa applications.

For the record I made no “confession” or derogatory comments toward Gi2c owner Yuri at thebeijinger.com where the troll named “Stefano” impersonated me by creating a user name “Gi2C.Anthony” and stole and inserted my photo (from an old Global Times newspaper article) as the avatar! If anyone knows Stefan’s full legal name, I am offering a 3,000 rmb reward upon confirmation. He used to work at Expertise Education as a recruiter before he was arrested and deported in 2014. If you have documented proof of his name or passport please send it to me at adm888mda@yahoo.com in confidence and advise me how you want to be paid. At thebeijinger.com Stefan was caught impersonating 5 different people and using 8 different user names. One moderator even admitted that “Stefano is Gi2c”.
Also be aware that I have kept every email every received/sent between Yuri and myself, and none of them relate to any “blackmail” Anyone wanting to review my last batch of correspondence with him can also make a request to the above email and my friends can contact me at my normal email address.

I have been blocked and banned from TBJ since 2012 when I publicly complained about their censorship of American war crimes committed in Fallujah (Iraq) Others have also been blocked and banned including Gi2C fraud victim Winnie Maliko. Refer to: http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?6...ally-Unethical Veteran users of TBJ are well aware of how the current thread about me originally had 167 posts but any that defended me or incriminated GI2c were censored out. In all 69 posts in the current thread were deleted and two complete threads about the wrongdoings of TBJ advertiser were deleted in the last six months, as Winnie Maliko and other can confirm along with the screens shots of comments made by her, and users “Already Freddy”, “Almost Sober”, “Longer”, “OICU812” and others. Amongst the many items deleted was my letter of resignation which can now be read at this link here: http://scam-detector.com/forums/foru...?p=992#post992 The truth about China scam artists will never be found at theBeijinger.com and here is the reason: http://eslwatch.info/forum/china/60-...ban-users.html"

Gi2c are truly a slimey but resourceful bunch. They hired some hacker to delete and corrupt links going to about 3 dozen links at other scam sites and wiped out a complete thread at scam-detector which looks to have been replaced... Lesson to be learned. If you post something about scammers, use screen shots and not links that can be hacked away. See Gi2C China Internship Scam Exposed By Former UK Employee - Reposted - Scam Detector Forums Also check out how the Beijinger (the place where they buy their ads) has been running interference for them; http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?6...ally-Unethical. Oh, the webs they weave...

    This is great stuff. Can you confirm the info/rumor that there are now less than 10 people working for Gi2C and they were all asked to write "reviews" about the company at glassdoor.com? Also can you get us copies of the other resignation letters or copies of the letters from pissed off customers? As you pointed out, Gi2c has deleted about 40 complaints that were on line less than two months ago. They were caught at scam-detector last week as you can see here: Gi2C China Internship Scam Exposed By Former UK Employee - Reposted - Scam Detector Forums Thanks for all your help. Oh... I almost forgot... I found this clever narrative about Gi2c at another scam-reporting site;

    My China Internship Nightmare

I wanted to find work in China,
So I went surfing on the internet you see.
In hopes of finding a new job and life,
When I saw the ads from Gi2c.

    Call now for free details,
    The ad beckoned to me.
    What the hell I thought,
The call and info are both free!

So I clicked on the chat line,
And a friendly girl Mary attended to me.
    “You’re so lucky” she insisted,
    That I stumbled across Gi2C!

She told great stories of others
Who found back door jobs you see
That are only available in China
    With companies connected with Gi2c.

But to get my foot in their door,
I’d have to prove myself first as an intern.
And if I didn’t hurry, I ‘d have to stand in line,
To wait months for my turn.

As luck would have it she said,
A huge MNC had only one vacancy.
She urged me to rush her “right now”,
    My current photo and CV.

    I was so darn excited,
I did exactly as she said,
Then I tossed and turned-trying to sleep,
As I thought of my great future in China ahead.

Wow, to be working so soon in China…
    With a huge international MNC…
This would surely be, the very best thing,
    That ever happened to me!!!

She called me again to talk some more,
As she read to me a great job description.
It sounds like my dream job for sure,
I didn’t know it would be science fiction.

So I paid my $300 deposit – no problem,
For me it sounded like a very good deal.
Besides she said the deposit was “refundable”
Not one they would ever steal.

Then the truth started to drip out,
When I learned the total cost…
$3,400 more they wanted me to pay,
    My temper I completely lost!

Then I learned that another $1,500
I would have to pay for my air fare.
And $1,000 more for 90 days of meals,
Not to mention $500 for daily subway fare.

My own apartment would cost another $1,500
But she said not to worry one bit,
Because I would be earning $60,000 a year,
With the new China job I would get!

She sent me great links of video testimonials,
Of a dozen happy clients of Gi2c from the past.
How the hell was I supposed to know…
These great actors were very well cast?

One even called me on the telephone,
Who told me he now worked with the BBC
For $5,000 dollars a month and only because,
Of the great internship he got from Gi2c.

I took the bait - hook, line and sinker,
I sent in my $3,400 with such great hopes.
But when I arrived in Beijing, I soon met
More than a dozen other angry dopes.

Within two weeks we were all mad as hell,
Only three in our group got what was promised.
The rest of us were just baited and switched,
Frankly I have never been so thoroughly pissed!

A refund I demanded, on a daily basis,
But they just made excuses for me.
The even suggested that I “misunderstood”
    Mary’s many promises to me.

The company where they sent me,
    Was surely no international MNC,
    But a Chinese finance company
That just used and exploited me.

“Marketing Specialist” was my job they said,
But spamming emails in English was my true role.
I was also asked to make copies, coffee, and deliveries.
With each day my anger was growing and taking its toll.

After three weeks I said “Enough is Enough”
I didn’t get an expensive Master degree for this!
    I demanded a refund and told Gi2C
My big fat ass they could kiss!

If I didn’t get one I would call in the cops.
And show them this scam operation.
That’s when the Russian boss finally said,
Please calm down, and you’ll get my cooperation.

Without making a scene at their office,
I would have been screwed over for sure.
I finally got my refund , but only because
I threatened to make a big public stir.

Maybe 30% of their interns are happy,
But the other 70% surely are not.
What we were all promised on the phone,
Was not even close to what we got.

So be warned my fellow uni graduates,
Smoke and mirrors is what you’ll get at Gi2c
They sell you a dream of a really great job,
So please learn this costly lesson from me…

Get a real China internship by going direct,
To the HR department of a big International company,
Explain what you want in your email letter and resume,
And you will get a real internship – absolutely FREE!

The HR officer will be truly sincere and honest,
And hide nothing about the internship from you.
They’ll even say if a real job will be waiting,
If you do a good job, when the internship is through.

I now wish you the best in your job hunt,
As I bid all of you farewell.
I truly regret my call to Gi2c,
My first step in a journey through hell.

    A Former GetIn2China intern
(My video is not featured on their website - can you guess why?)

Note to all: Gi2c is just one of many black internships that are legal in China but they could not get away with this crap anywhere else on planet Earth.(Nigeria excepted). Google “China Internship Scams” to learn more about these companies or visit chinainternshipreviews.wordpress.com Here are some more happy customers if you think I am exaggerating: http://www.gooverseas.com/study-abro...2c-group/50333 and this is what one of their own former employees dished up on them at another forum...

scam-detector.com/forums/forum/employmen...-former-u-k-employee Even though my Gi2C experience is two years old, I vow to warn every university graduate every year as long as they keep spamming their misleading ads on all the ESL and "Work Abroad" web sites. Warn your friends

Check this out... the clever cons are now buying "testimonials" for $1,000 each! https://www.reddit.com/r/China/comme...al_to_a_china/ Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper if they just ran an honest business and tell their customers the truth?

Note to Admin: Thought you should know that all external links to scam threads about Gi2c are being redirected to bogus web sites selling cosmetics or online services. Considering that Yuri employs a full time hacker, and 27 negative links about them have already vanished, I am not surprised. Maybe you can refresh the links somehow or none of the above warnings will be seen by prospective victims. I am not an IT guy so I do not know what the solution is. Just thought you should know.

    Hmmn,

    that's strange.

I went back to the beginning of the thread and opened any links to Scam.com in both Firefox and Chrome.

All of them took me to the thread mentioned, except one where the post or thread threw up an "invalid link followed" message, indicating the thread or post had been deleted by the forum itself

Just a note that this scam is still kicking around in China and they have had their hacker remove about have of the warning posts that were online this same time last year. Hopefully victims will start posting again to stay one step ahead of their hacker.

More of the same Gi2c deception is STILL being fed to the gullible idiots who really believe they will get a Fortune 500 job in China. The sales pitch goes like this... "The principals of Gi2C have been in China for almost 20 years and are very well connected with the HRDs. Off course they keep all the right palms greased so that our people get the plum internships. But each company is limited to about 10 management interns per year. So this is why we pay and you pay to be at the front of the line, not the end." I collected the below from some of their advertising and from cache since they are trying to escape all the lies they told people. They also lost their Labor Board complaint and had to pay almost $60,000 to former employees who were screwed out of wages and commissions

A company that cheats its own employees for back wages and commissions will cheat a stranger client in the blink of an eye.
