5 Problems With Nu Skin
Great article on Seeking Alpha today about NuScam...
5 Problems With Nu Skin
Jan. 29, 2015
Summary
* A great conversation starter is asking people if they've known anyone who has participated in a MLM organization. Get the popcorn ready!
* Pyramid scheme or not, we just don't like its business model.
* Big liability risks, legal risks, unfavourable media attention, and an increasingly ineffective business model are all reasons to avoid Nu Skin.
* We don't believe these risks are temporary, and we believe investors should give Nu Skin a wide berth.
This article doesn't just apply to NuScam - it pertains to MLM in general.
We've found that a great conversation starter is asking people if they've known anyone who has participated in a MLM organization (such as Amway, Avon,Mary Kay, Herbalife, or, indeed, Nu Skin). We totally recommend this. We've heard some amazing stories. You're almost certain to hear fascinating stories of ruined jobs, ruined relationships, and ruined lives. It's like an episode of Maury Povich.
The comment section is terrific - the apologists for MLM show up to espouse what a wonderful business model MLM is - despite the fact that an average of 67,740 "Active Distributors" in the United States during 2013 earned an average commission of $176.00 a month or $2,112.05 annually.
Oh! They weren't trying to build a business - they just love the products!

Only if you're prepared to duck immediately after asking the question.
I'd love to know what percentage of the population in Western countries has NOT been approached by an MLM recruiter at least once
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

Re: 5 Problems With Nu Skin
All you have to ask is "How many products are sold to retail customers?"
It is laughable that Nu Skin/MLM is not a "warm-market, closed-market-recruiting scam."

I meant, to think that Nu Skin isn't a scam is laughable.
