    Nah,

    it's not because of "Buster"

There's either a rogue Mod acting behind the scenes or, as mentioned on another thread the "fix" has been put in place by management.

The interesting thing is how the "system" of warnings has changed, in that the ID of the mod who is supposed to have issued the warning is not given.

Methinks the wagons may be circling in TalkGold-land.

    Thinking about it,

if the worst thing that happens to someone this year is losing points or being banned on an internet HYIP ponzi forum, then everyone involved is in for an excellent 2011.

You are right and I am starting to believe the best way to do things is after I decide it is a scam, fill out the complaint form to StopFraud.gov - Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force
It only takes a minute and you don't need standing to file. After filing they send you back a case number.

    EXACTLY !

And, if you know where it's based, the local police, the CFTC and NFA if it's forex based, Homeland Security if it has obvious money laundering, the SEC for securities based fraud.

Include as many links and information as possible, use the online complaint forms where applicable, otherwise emails with your real name and details included,

Then, the same again the following week

    and the following week,

    ditto for the next week.

Forum posting is for fun and/or mental stimulation

the REAL work happens elsewhere and most people will be pleasantly surprised at just how effective they can be with very little effort.

The NFA is more than ready to accept E-Mails about scam programs as I received a phone call from their enforcement division and given a contact for further scams after I sent them a complaint.

After making the necessary complaints, I can assure folks that postings on these type of anti-scam forums makes a real impact. Nothing like a scammer crying about how my posting made it impossible for them to continue in their scheme. It realy warms my heart when they emote.

It is all too fashionable to attack the agencies involved in protecting the public from fraudsters, ESPECIALLY when their hands are generally tied by their political masters, budgetary restraints, under staffing, general apathy and the enormity of the task.

My experience, however, is that what can be and is achieved with public co operation is remarkable and I have been continually impressed by the level/s of attention available to those who file genuine complaints and/or information.

I have it on good authority that the order did in fact come from Brian....(if my info came from any higher up it would have been from Brian himself)....

When a number of us enter the one thread like happened in Club Asteria that is seen as "trolling"....

Sure some mods like ticktack and forum Nazi Joseph do seem to be abusing their positions but IMO they are just the chosen ones to do the dirty work....

A snip of what was said to me....
Mods are well aware that some members seem to somehow 'pick out' a program and go in to their thread and repeat the same thing virtually over and over, with others following their lead.

There are thousands of threads at any given moment, and most of us can't understand how one program gets selected for special treatment.

One wouldn't have to be a Rhodes scholar to work out that it's usually the HYIPs which go out of their way to rope in newbies with their B/S which come to the attention of "naysayers"

Who cares what the HYIP ponzi players do with their money ???

HOWEVER, when a HYIP "game" becomes downright fraud and innocents are targeted, we have a whole new ball game, at least IM(very)HO.

"most of us can't understand" my a**

Most of us DON'T WANT TO understand would be closer to the truth.

This does not surprise me at all. Its like that place changed over night. Obviously, I have had a difficult time adjusting since Im banned at the moment again.
I wonder what is so bad about having a different point of view that always turns out to be right that prompted Brian to hammer everybody so hard? Advertisers complaining maybe? Its so obvious what they are doing that its pathetic.

It always has been....The only thing that's really changed in my 5+ years there is the mods and how much of a say the mods let nay-sayers have....
How far we get to expose the scammers and their lies has gone up and down over time....
Right now we at a low point but it won't last forever...
Worth remembering that it was the tortoise and not the hare that won the race...
We just need to keep on keeping on...

This month TG celebrated it's 8th anniversary....
And after 8 years TG is still the #1 choice for scammers....

    Edit to add....
And I just celebrated my 2nd badge of honor for the year

Re: Talk Gold Mods On A Banning Spree

The creeps that own that scammers paradise have a real quandry on their hands. Without the controversy the scammers can sell their programs unmolested, but without that contorversy the reads and amount of traffic will drop significantly. Folks love to watch a good fight. I would know about that. Just where is Broke Boy anyway????

Re: Talk Gold Mods On A Banning Spree

DrDave/KenRusso has claimed that he will be leaving TalkGold. As we know the type of programs which he promotes, it should not be difficult to identify him if he assumes another TG persona.

Ken's indignation about those who bad mouth him.

Quote DrDave/KenRusso complaints about his treatment on TalkGold

WealthCreationAlliance - wcarev - wcarev.com Message: World Consumer Alliance Payment to krusso

The company continues to pay. Yes, the program has slowed down significantly. Here's the reality. They all do! WCA is no exception! The folks that continue to proclaim that the program is a scam are only harming the thousands of good folks who have joined the enterprise as willing participants.

Now I want to address the jokers like mushroom1 who engage in personal attacks. Guess what. This person does not know me from Adam. He insists that a Google search will prove that I am "paid ponzi pimp scammer". It is losers like mushroom1 who post comments like that. This means absolutely nothing to me. I have thousands of folks on my contact list, several hundred of whom have been there for many years and can vouch for my character. mushroom1 insists that I companies have paid me post false claims. This is
    absolute nonsense!

Bottom line, mushroom1 is a pathetic loser who gets his kicks by engaging in personal attacks against someone he does not know. As I stated above, this means nothing to me. However, here is the real problem. He also makes false claims that the folks at WCA are scammers and this reckless behavior causes harm to thousands of innocent and willing participants who have joined the program in good faith. This type of behavior is unconscionable! Frankly, this is
the only forum that allows this type of childish behavior and it is the reason I will no longer be participating here.

Why are those who badmouth Russo not banned from TG.

Are TG allowing genuine naysayers back in their forum?
