I am showing you the victim, because it is so important that folks see these scammers are hurting real people, the most alone, desperate and needy out there. Carol is about to turn 69 and has been widowed for over a decade. She can't see that a real man that is 18 years her junior holding several advanced degrees and the Captain of the most technologically advanced ship in the Navy is not going to fall for her online. She lives Social Security check to Social Security check. She has been involved in at least two other romance scams and was assaulted and almost killed by a drug dealer in the last several years. Her health is failing and she is almost bedridden. She refused to testify against the drug deal for assault. The local DA threw the book at him and when he got out she took this violent criminal into her hotel room where he died of a heart attack. She has no children and all of her family is far away and most have given up seeing what trouble she is constantly getting herself into. The FBI happily takes the reports, but they are so understaffed and underfunded all they can do is recommend that the Carols out there ignore these Facebook romance scammers. These victims often can't do that. They desperately cling to these fantasies.

I used my fake profile to friend said romance scammer and that story will follow.

Those pictures are all lifted right of various mainstream media reports available online. Not hard to see why a scammer would choose this man's name and likeness. The old ladies are absolutely swooning!

I want everyone to meet the victim. She is convinced that I have ruined her life because of this. She could be anyone's mother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, grandmother, friend..... Of course, most don't have ten or likely more profiles on Facebook. But, several failed romance scams later I guess that comes in handy.

God brought this man into my life. I have learned to love him in so many ways, Thanks to the Lord, you can only know what true love really is. It's the most wonderful thing in the world. Micheal is my treasure from God, an I am Micheal's.


This is the Memorial I Got For my Mother today at Terrell Church of the Nazarene. Where Rev. *(^& is Pastor. It was a wonderful service, God was there I wish my sister's could have been there. My fiance was with me in spirit, from miles away. Micheal my sweetheart was with me in my heart. The world can say what they want about marriages that start online. I also know that when God does something, NO MAN CAN PUT ASUNDER. This marriage bares watching because it's one the world will stand in awe of. This marriage will last past the end of time. This poor lady was panhandling and pulling other stunts to get money from people at the church as she always has to have her nails done and hair colored. Life revolving around fantasy. Michael her great love is another scammer on Facebook that was claiming to be a well off engineer in Paris, France. After all her talk of how well off he is, they never married (sight unseen) mind you as he couldn't afford a plane ticket home to the USA. If he was over there with his company and they sent him there to work then that company would have paid the expenses to get him home.

Same victim with yet another romance scammer. This time she is gushing that they have been magically married on Facebook.

You will be shocked to find out that scammer boy has another profile. And, I will bet he is not in Rome, Italy, Paris, France or on an oil rig.

Meanwhile back in reality during this time frame Carol L. has been tangled up with and letting a drug dealer live in her mother's house. Drug dealer assaults her. Police come looking for him and she claims he is not there when in fact he is found hiding in her bedroom. On a separate occasion he had pushed her out of her car on a busy street and almost killed her from what her family tells me. The DA throws the book at him after she refuses to testify. Of course, a responsible friend from the church had taken her straight to the police station and Carol had assured everyone at the church that she had put him behind bars. After a few months in jail he is out. She has been removed from her mother's house (read Sheriff) after the foreclosure and she invites this scoundrel to live in her hotel room with her. She was putting all of us from the church that helped her in grave danger. Drug dealer had heart problems and thankfully expired before he hurt her or anyone else.

Desperate folks like this are the perfect marks for scammers. The real tragedy is that the safety nets we Americans believe to be there are far and few between. Those from the church who have been trying to help her for the last several years have found it nearly impossible to find affordable senior housing. Section 8 opens up the waiting list for about a week a year here and mothers with kids from 3-10 are the priority. Adult Protective Services is involved, but until she is unable to bathe, unable to feed herself, in an exceedingly dangerous living environment and/or is an obvious danger to others nothing will be done for her. The Carols will continue to be victimized by every scammer out there.

This is in the middle of January after numerous folks have told this poor victim that those are pictures of the real Navy Captain lifted off of mainstream media reports by a Nigerian scammer. She is so far into the fantasy that she is taking glamour shots and cutting them and pasting them with her dream man. She is old enough to be the mother of the dear fellow in the pictures who has no idea his name and image are being used in this fraudulent and deceitful manner.

My alias, Judy, friended the scammer on Facebook and I sent everything to Carol L.'s family.

Back in reality once again, the few of us left helping this woman wonder if James Kirk is another local drug dealer (Jeffrey Carroll type as linked below) that may assault or harm us, the ax murderer next door, a potential stalker or just a run of the mill Nigerian scammer out to grab her tiny Social Security check.

I met her at Eastridge Park Christian Church. By that time she had alienated most of the congregation with her lies and antics to get money. Two very kind pastors who did a marvelous job of looking out for her were still there, so she had at least some support system and a safe place to go. Those pastors left when one lost her adult son in a tragic accident and the other was reduced to part-time as the church collapsed. That pastor reduced to part-time had warned the church 5 years ago that they needed to wake up as the numbers were dropping like a rock. He left for another full-time job. He needed to eat and pay his bills.

That left just 3 of us trying to help her. We were totally overwhelmed and I contacted her family for their input. She has no kids and the sisters, nieces, nephew and cousins etc. are all out of state and most had already had their fill of dealing with her, so she is now in serious trouble. The 3 of us left helping her told her that we were done until such time as she was behaving in a safe manner and not getting tangled up with scammers and criminals. We have our own families that we want to keep safe.

Let's meet the drug dealer that she brought into her mother's home to live before the Sheriff escorted her out while he was in jail for assaulting her. And, think how frightening it is that she would take him back in her hotel room when he was released. Victims like her reconnect with their abusers all the time. Her sister shared with me how relieved they were when the drug dealer died. We as a society are not protecting these vulnerable women and elderly people and it is horrible to witness:

I let scammer know that I had been talking to the FBI and told him the truth about Carol's multiple profiles and numerous attempts to find men to support her in order to get him to leave her alone. It is obvious he is only in these conversations to arrange for cash to land in his hands via Western Union. Once she has sent him some of her very small Social Security checks, she had nothing else to give him and I knew she would keep sending him money she needed for food and medical things so I wanted to scare him away as fast as possible.

Poor deluded Carol goes right back after all this and friends him again on yet another James Kirk profile he has set up:

I got this second profile of the same scammer removed. I chided Carol on her page using my alias Judy as she had blocked me. She went on about the fact she has given him nothing and insists that there are no other women and that I don't have my facts straight. Then she blocked Judy and made her page private. Thankfully, two former pastors from Eastridge Park Christian Church who are very caring are still friends with her on Facebook and I let them know of her current troubles. I have her family's contact information for them when they need it. I will never stop fighting to help the victims. When Carol is ready for help I will be there for her.

The military is struggling with the fake profiles using the name of members and I concur that it is time for a major crackdown!
