Bobby Schindler Advocates for Those that Have No Voice

Bobby Schindler launches speaking tour to educate students across Texas about the importance of advocating for medically vulnerable populations.
Houston, Texas—Bobby Schindler will commence a tour of Texas campuses where he will speak to college students about supporting the populations most vulnerable to imposed and coerced hospital deaths.
In 2005, Schindler watched his sister, Terri Schiavo, suffer an imposed death of starvation and dehydration. For nearly two weeks, Terri endured unimaginable torture under the order of the Pinellas-Pasco’s Sixth Judicial Court when instead the legal system should have protected the patient. Terri’s death sparked a renewed fervor among Pro-Life advocates working to replace laws that jeopardize patients’ Right to Life.

As is the case for many activists, personal experience convicted Schindler to act on behalf of vulnerable individuals like his sister. “This [right to die ideology], along with changes in public policies, now puts life and death decisions in the hands of physicians, hospital boards, and ethics committees – basically strangers – in the place of family members,” Schindler wrote on the 10th anniversary of his sister’s death. Schindler now spends his days advocating for defenseless hospital patients who are targeted for or are coerced into death when their situations are deemed “futile” by doctors and insurance companies that no longer wish to invest time and resources into the life of a patient. The Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network, founded in his sister’s memory, is a nationally-recognized agency for promoting the life-affirming message Schindler shares.
Bobby Schindler’s educational tour is sponsored by Texas Right to Life and is open to the public. For more information, please contact Veronica Arnold at VArnold@TexasRightToLife.com or 713-782-5433.

This charity spends its dollars on those in need. Bobby Schindler works way more than full-time and only pays himself 34 grand a year. I salute this hero!
