    Rain Rain Go Away!!!

Typical So. Ca. We get little or no rain for a year and then the flood gates open. Of course we also get the fires every year and after the rains, then the mudslides. lol

Corona Airport is closed now. Interesting pics. Good time to have a float plane.

The second Pineapple Express hit last night. It's been raining for several days now. Hopefully it's supposed to start clearing sometime tomorrow, but in a few days it looks like another storm is heading our way. The mountains have gotten 12 to 14 feet of snow.

    It's hell driving.

The surf at the beach is ranging from 4 to 6 feet but it's really choppy, muddy and unrideable.

Almost needed a life raft to get to work today.

Yikes. I'm sure I'll be back in So Cal in a week or two. Hopefully a mountain won't slide down on me.

Lmao! It has just poured non stop, day and night for days now. And I mean buckets!!! The ground was saturated three days ago. You need a truck, van or an SUV to get around safely. I won't let my wife drive til it gets better as I am using the SUV to get to work as I always do. Hopefully that will be tommorrow as she still has last minute stuff to do for Xmas. I'll be off and home working on the honey do list from hell and she can take it. We had to pump out the excess water from the swimming pool and the jacuzzi into the back planters where the French drains are, three times now! It's beyond soggy over here. The dogs barely want to go out to the bathroom and they are getting antsy from no walks, no park, no beach and no playing outside. You have to carry the little one just to get him out there. lol

You are lucky you didn't have to brave the Cajon or the Grapevine in this crap. Hope you are high and dry, buddy.

I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist posting this video.

Looks like we need a new song for So-Cal this one is outdated.

I'll be going down the Cajon pass here in a few days.

Hopefully things will settle down with the rainfall there soon. All of you in Southern Cal have had enough rain to last for the next five years.

I read somewhere about funding being cut for flood control in California. I don't remember where I saw that article though.

lmao! Well that's the truth probably 355 days a year at least. Another storm coming in Sunday. It looks like a doosey too from the radar images I looked at a bit ago. Another storm is due next week mid week as well. So much for La Nina. Almost 27 inches fell in the San Berdo mountains and the San Gabriels had almost 25 inches.

There was a time in the nineties when it rained everyday in January except for one day in the county I live in. That county was declared a disaster area, though I have never seen anything like this. What is going on is some really scary stuff. With all this rain, even months from now landslides could happen as a result of this excessive rainfall. When I look at what has happening right now, it is scary.

This happened a few hundred kilometers north of where I live, and yet it's officially summer here and we're in drought:

The town of Carnarvon is on track to break its annual rainfall average in less than two days.
It has already broken records for the wettest day and the wettest month.

Looks like it is bad over there. Looks like bad weather is happening all over the world. What in the world is going on? Between earthquakes, heavy rains and everything else. Almost seems there is not a part of this world that isn't being affected by this terrible weather, earthquakes, and so on. One would have to ask has this happened before? Is this just a normal cycle of events?

It's odd weather for sure! We are supposed to be in the middle of a La Nina in California and it's supposed to be dry as toast! Look at the blizzards in Europe the last few days and hundreds of flights cancelled and thousands of people trapped in major airports there for 3 and 4 days now. So much for global warming.

Pay close attention to media reports regarding the weather and see how many times you see the words "worst" and "ever" in the same sentence, or, do you see the phrase "worst since......." being used more often ????

Actually, Theo posted that, but yes I have noticed this. They seem to be comparing the records to the "biggest since", and the "most since" in the past wx records.
