A zookeeper in Nebraska was taking a spontaneous selfie of her most intimidating thug face when one of her charges, a Sulawesi macaque ape, decided to lighten the mood.

Of course, like any good photobomber, the ape pleaded ignorance the moment it was caught. That's one heck of a poker face in the follow-up picture.

But this species of primate is anything but innocent when it comes to photobombing. In fact, it's a repeat offender.

Another Sulawesi macaque became an international sensation in 2011 when she stumbled across photographer David Slater's unattended camera in an Indonesian national park.

The hairy devil proceeded to snap a perfect self-shot - you know, the kind of picture we supposedly intelligent humans need half an hour to line up properly.

These apes are obviously massive posers. So next time you tour the local zoo, be sure to scan the background before snapping any pics.
