Hello, this is Allan. Searching for how to post on this site. Not that easy to figure out but I will get there. Thanks!
Hello this is Allan. I started a thread and now don't find it. Does it not show up instantly?
Normally it does, Allan. But I only see 2 posts on your account. Are you sure that you hit the button to actually send the initial post for your thread, rather than previewing it?

New to forums pretty much and new to this site in particular; but trying to protect my son from getting into a business that he should not get into. (yes, overly protective parent here!)...but someone has to watch out for the lambs being led to their slaughter.

relatively new here. wondering what people think of mlm's linking recruitment drives to 'charitable giving' - beauticontrol (only know because someone i know is doing that stupid stuff)doing this and it feels so wrong to me!
ou vey hit send too soon. is this common in the mlm industry these days? ie you all recruit x # of people in x amount of time we'll donate blah blah to xyz charity ? that just feels so low down dirty rotten me. plus of course the goal the set for these poor rubes is also so impossibly high also. thoughts? its really bothering me
Beauticontrol is one of Tupperwares' brands, so one would assume its' charity involvement is on the up and up
- Tupperware
- Avroy Shlain
- BeautiControl
- Fuller Cosmetics
- NaturCare
- Nutrimetics
- Nuvo
As to the first part of your post, yes, unfortunately, it is an increasingly common trend for both MLM and pseudo MLM companies to attach charities to their "opportunity"
Without looking into it too deeply, I'm surprised Tupperware / BeautiControl are making their matching donation policy dependent on recruiting, rather than product sales.
Without knowing the charity you could back into it using a few sources lined below to find if it is really a charity, or a ruse run by the brother of the guy behind the MLM. There are any number of scams that float around using religion, charity, or donations to first responders to make them seem more than they are.
As LRM indicated a payment based on recruitment rather than actual retail sales seems a little backwards.
