Anyone can assume the original plaintiff's claim(s) if that person signs those rights over. The law as to what claims can be signed over to others are complicated and vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Just because you, Unc, don't understand it doesn't mean it isn't a legitimate legal procedure. You are aware that debts are sold to collectors for pennies on the dollar, aren't you?

I didn't buy anything. She assigned her legal claims over to me as she was out of state and the defendants were penniless paupers at that time. Jack Weinzierl and Advantage Conferences had declared bankruptcy.

Law in the USA does allow for Plaintiff's to assign certain claims to other parties. You are flat our wrong.

And, Unc, the original attorney set up the case so that it could be turned into a class action suit if more of the 97% of reps that lost money joined. Many reps wished to get their money back but were broke and couldn't afford legal fees and knew at that point the ill gotten gain had been blown by Tim Darnell and Jack Weinzierl. They saw the sales had just about stopped in 2007.
