So, I've been following some conversations over at behindmlm. There's a lot of legal jargon going on which of course is necessary, but isn't my focus because I'm no lawyer. I'm also not sure it gets to the root of the problem. Here's my point: You have a square tire. We can discuss that, driving on certain roads, at a certain speed, certain tire pressure, certain weight, and you might get there, but the tire is still square and not meant to roll.

I posted something over there which I thought made a lot of sense but got passed over. I'd like to hear from people here what they think.

Oz says, and I agree, that there has to be at least 50% retail outside sales in MLM. Now, I say, when a system is designed to be word of mouth, why would a company want an "end" retail sale. That to me, doesn't make sense. The company's whole system relies on chain recruiting, duh right? There is no advertising, no store shelves, only people spreading the word. A retail purchase by someone who could care less about promoting will not meet that need.

I'm saying, how can you have retail in a SYSTEM that isn't designed to retail. That is why there isnt 50% retail. Amway ibos lie and fake their customer requirements. I know, I did it. No way every IBO has 10 different customer sales, NO WAY. Legal or not, the tire is square and that can't be changed with rules.

MLM is a system, not a company. If you change the system, it wouldn't be MLM. Thoughts?

Edit: And the SYSTEM sucks. It's a system where over 97% of people lose money and it's full of deception telling people otherwise.
