    MLM needs to be stopped.

Where are the Ag's in this. Why is not more being done to stop this.

    MLM is a scourge.

MLM prays on peoples hopes, then steals their money from them.

I had actually added a lot of new comments to this but my computer is giving me fits. So my edit did not come through.

I guess this first post works good enough.

Attorneys general at the state level are usually elected officials, and the USAG is appointed.
They have to have a case to prosecute.

The DSA, the major organization representing the MLM industry, is wealthy and politically influential.

Most MLMs stay within the law and regulations that govern them. The illegal ones have to be caught before they can be shut down.

The so called "biz-op rule", as initially proposed by the FTC, would have required a lot more of MLMs. They received more than 17,000 comments, the overwhelming majority of which came from the MLM industry.

The FTC backed off, and the final rule excluded MLMs. (per wserra)
