Good grief! That stuff is no worse than having your inbox stuffed to the rims with Viagra spam or late night TV advertising dating agencies and hookers, surely!
You gunna close your email accounts and sell your TV too?
The google syndication ads on scam.com have been promoting MLM scams for years Did that ever bother you to the point of a moratorium on the site?
It's a free membership site which uses advertising to make money. You have the option to view the ads or not.
What will happen when you need to google-up this site and someone starts a thread involving sex and the ads start coming through with dating sites?
.
Personally, I don't have to see or read any spam that I ever get on my private email account with Verizon or my business account with them. I use Outlook Express and a program called Spambully, which takes care of all of that for me. The best part, is that the program actually punishes spammers by sending them spam (dummy pages) back to them, which cost them and it reports them to their internet providers. I like that part the best. It's programmable for spam and learns as it goes as well. You can block anything or anyone that you don't wish to have access to your main account.
As for television commercials, I generally get up take a leak, fix a snack, let the dogs in or out, read, or change the channel or something.
And yes the other ads often bothered me, but not to the extent that the tacky porn videos do. I don't know of any other forums or blogs that are not purely adult in nature, that have ads like that either. At least, I have never seen any. Have you? It certainly is not the norm.
You cannot profess as George has, to want to be helping and saving people from scams, when you yourself are scamming everyone who is a guest or a member on Scam and using them to promote your own porn sites and get money from them. lol

No. Not the same.
MLM ads aren't porn. The google syndication ads on scam.com have been promoting MLM scams for years Did that ever bother you to the point of a moratorium on the site?
Yup. And I have a choice as to whether I go there or not. Porn crosses the line. It's a free membership site which uses advertising to make money. You have the option to view the ads or not.
There's a fine line between "dating" sites and "DATING" sites. I choose not to be involved with "DATING" sites. Besides, did you not read the Ad-sense rules posted earlier by Emet? Google isn't promoting porn. GEORGE IS PROMOTING PORN. As long as he keeps it off scam, I'm ok with that. I may not like it, but as long as it's not in my face, and out of sight of my kids, I can deal with it.What will happen when you need to google-up this site and someone starts a thread involving sex and the ads start coming through with dating sites?
AFA someone starting a thread involving sex (ie porn) on this site, it will be deleted. That crosses boundaries the admins on this site will not permit.

GEORGE DRANICHAK - OWNER OF SCAM.COM, PORN MOGUL AND KING OF THE PORN SPAMMERS
So, in essence, you exercise your right to either filter out or ignore the content you disapprove of. It's the same on the internet, on any site.
You block it out and get on with it.
If you're honest with yourself, it's not the ads on scam.com, it's the site itself that you don't like. That's fine but all you need to do is say so and no go all puritanical about porn sites etc etc.
.
//edit. George doesn't give two hoots about scams. The site is a part of his overall business. Why is that so difficult for people to understand?
I found the Ashley dating links in every single post for several weeks, really offfensive. That site was for married men looking for other women. Sheeesh. I found that about as low as you can go. Well, til his latest ads. lol
I am being honest. I no longer like the site for several reasons. I am far from being a prude, believe me. lmao I think the presence of tacky porn ads is terrible on many levels and for many reasons. Whether you believe that or not, that's your problem, not mine.
Again, what forum or blog on the net that is not an adult site, has porn videos for ads?
I also don't get pornographic ads or solicitations in my email adresses. lol I get ads to sell me crap or rip me off- I won the lotto, etc., mostly. I do take a look at Spambully from time to time just look at the titles of what it is catching.
I don't think that porn should be pushed or shoved on anyone just because you go to what is supposed to be a "normal" site on the internet either.
I don't know where you have been, but most of us have been well aware of the fact that George doesn't give a rats about the forum, his members or scams and we've known that for years. lmao It's the fact that he lies about it and contradicts himself with his behavior and is a complete liar and hypocrite. It's also, that this behavior has really exacerbated itself in recent months.

You may or may not be aware of this but if you were already using adsense syndication, you're ads would already be advertising your 'so called' porn sites simply by typing the word sex into a post. This is something which you have zero control over unless you block the word sex, and all other words mildly related, on the site.
Why do you think words such as power, underage and the likes are blocked on scam.com? It's so ads relating to those (low paying) keywords do not appear on the site.
Get with the program, seriously.
Underage? lmao there were ads for teen sex sites on Scam before the site went down for the second time. Guess that word blocking thing didn't work out so well. lol
I am aware, in general, of how adsense works. However, I will have to defer to the admin on what types of ads would appear should we use words like 'sex' and 'porn' in a post. Somehow, I hardly think the type of ads that are currently being seen would appear. Google is not that stupid.

So, your theory is that words like water, power, funding, and energy etc. are blocked becasue they generate lower dollar ads? You can't put up a dang posts that reads well or even has the name of popular MLM scams because of it. George doesn't give a damn about his members or mods and the site has gone way too far downhill for any intelligent, insightful people who want to seriously scambust to bother posting there. Ignite / Stream Energy, Evolv Water and on and on don't have proper titles because of the words that neanderthal blocked out. So, that stuff won't Google up on the top pages. Heck, almost none of the good threads Google up because he has pulled a bunch more of mine and the rest haven't been crawled at the new IP address so folks hunting for things on Google will think the site is gone. Scam is just a bad joke now!

Let alone the deletion of so many (dozens) of worthwhile threads that were actually exposing true scams. That to me, along with the way the site was run (well - not run) and the treatment of the Mods, was the begining of the end. I didn't post as often in the MLM threads when the original YTB thread was deleted for example. I figured, what was the point?
Well, I can tell you for certain that the Ashley Madison Dating, Naked News Headlines and probably the most recent soft porn garbage are the work of none other than George Dranichak. Google wasn't responsible for that crap and it generated a lot of complaints which I had to deal with. No thanks!!! And, I work at my kitchen table while my children do their school work, so I have no interest in having that porn crap up anywhere I read and / or post.

Again, that is not my point. I found those ads to be extremely offensive and immoral. And to have it appear willy nilly in all of my posts was very troublesome to say the least. It is not stopping or controlling other's behaviors in their personal lives. I never said that it was. No one, but that person can do that. You seem to be missing the point, entirely. I did not want to a part of that behavior however, condone it or help to promote it. THAT is the point. It's not difficult to understand.

It's completely disrespectful to the members of Scam. But then greed and selfishness is nothing new with George. Helluva way to spend one's life isn't it? Not exactly something you can brag about on career day at your kid's school is it? And what does your Daddy do? lol
Guess again. The IP address has already resolved to scam.com and it did so after about 24 hours. The proliferation on the SE's is almost complete. (google mlm scams)
Hint: Using Adsense ranks you higher on google searches. But, of course you all know that.
In your opinion scam is a joke. Many of the loyal posters are returning and some members are helping others to rid themselves of the ads if they so desire. That's what an internet community is all about!
It's business as usual.
It's not just her opinion. It's many peoples. Why do you think this forum was started? To escape Scam and all the baggage and the trash. I choose what "internet community" to support and be a part of. I sure as hell don't choose that place.
I checked just now, it is not scam.com but instead is "208.86.2.178".
Back before the whole 'Lemonhead' issue, when I saved scam.com to my favorites file, it had a little icon next to the name, now it is a generic icon of a blank piece of paper. Most of my favorite sites have a cute icon but a few have the same little icon of a blank page. I suppose the icon change has to do with the server change?
Can you imagine accessing this site with your wife and/or children nearby seeing all of this venom?... YIKES!
You have an issue with me, then put me on ignore. Do you plan on contributing anything of meaning and value here? Just curious.
