You are now down in the rant section. So, if folks insist on getting testy and personal over a discussion that started about podiatric issues do it down here. Anyone who is going to post on the topic can go back upstairs.

As I pointed out, ALA made excellent points about preventative care. P2P and others rightly pointed out, as I knew from years of my mother working in a Podiatrist office, that podiatric issues are very common for older folks and cannot always be avoided. Anyone having more than a few corns will need to be in a Podiatrist office, so I can't see much else to bicker about, but if bicker you must carry on!

I have been reading this thread with incredulity. First just because it is a MLM Program does not make it a "scam." What makes it a "scam," or an illegal pyramid scheme is when there is no product, and the only revenue is from selling memberships, i.e. MPBToday.

I do detest MLM's business model, but as long as at least 51% of their income comes from "retail sales," and there are viable products to "sell," they are legal. It is up to the FTC to regulate this industry.

While TriVita is scummy it is not a scam, even here in the US. The FTC could fine them for false advertising, but I seriously doubt they would close the company down. They would just fine them and make them clean up their marketing and sales pieces to comply with the law.

From what I have read, they have filed the proper paperwork with the Australian authorities and the authorities have licensed them to do business there. A point that Okosh has pointed out in several posts. What Okosh has said has been 100% correct, but he has not said he "supports" the company, or is rushing to sign up as a member or distributor. He has also said that if given "proof" they are a scam, he would report them to the proper Australian authorities immediately.

There is no doubt that "all" of us do not like the MLM industry, but that does not make every MLM a scam. We just don't like their business model or marketing of their products. For if all MLM's were scams/illegal pyramids, none of them would be in business today. The entire industry would be banned by the FTC.

There are true "MLM Scams" that are an illegal pyramid, and they need to be shut down. They deserve our attention to do as much as we can to get them shut down. If we believe that TriVita is not selling enough retail product by the members and distributors to classify as 51% of their income, then we need to report it to the FTC, and let them investigate.

These libellous statements can be repeated as fact.

This thread will have achieved something, if there are no more attempts to comment on any medical diagnosis that could be nothing more than defamation of character created by notorious cyber bullies like Brookie, "Dr Mara" or Jack Cobb.

I am not a scam buster. I did not intend to do anything but to introduce my offline network to the best and worst cyberspace business opportunities and on line communities. I had to fight those who claimed I was in league with Bob Krimm, Nickers Smirnow and The Vee Twins. I am sticking to my guns. The worst con artists whom I have encountered were Brookie, Jack Cobb and the phoney medical practitioner "Dr Mara". Those three invent medical conditions for those whom they wish to defame.

Dr Mara was foist by her own petard. One of her own ex followers sent me a picture of this near morbidly obese woman and her team of financial experts. Let us get together to reveal scammers and con artists like Dr Mara and not offer medical advice on anybody in this community. Help in bringing those three down would be appreciated.

A small handful of people can create an online community but even having done so they don't truly control it. We can influence it, set certain limits but the direction the community takes is a collective decision.

Two immutable truths are at work here, one is that we can never please everyone. In fact we shouldn't try to. The other is that the Admin and the mods will make mistakes. No one liked the direction some things on this forum were going, the question to me became was inaction less harmful than the wrong action. I remember arguing to someone who turned out to be a short termed Admin on another site that forums are ruled by consensus. We can make and enforce rules but we can't make people follow them. That discussion never went anywhere so I went elsewhere (here). I hate turning people away, if someone wants to be part of this community and gifts it with their time and their passion I want them to find the experience to be a rewarding one. But as the old saying goes, my right to swing my fist ends before it intersects with your nose, there's a basic level of respect and civility that can't be optional to a community that wants to grow.

There are some people who no longer feel welcome here and it's with great sadness that I say that. Particularly because in a very small sense it is true. If you don't feel this place is worth your time then I feel like I let you down and would like the chance to make amends. But if you feel that requiring you to respect your fellow forum members enough to keep personal attacks only to designated areas of the site is a violation of your sense of entitlement, well then I wish you well where ever you find yourself next my old friend. Needless to say that anyone wanting to help this community grow is always welcome back.

Make no mistake, I will continue to make mistakes. I'll do my best to avoid them and to make up for them but i will still make them. And that's only one of the reasons I need you people to help me. Comments, questions and complaints, all are welcome. You can PM me through the board or E-mail me at [my user name] @inbox.com. Excellent post GD. As an apparent recipient of the"right" side of the exchange, (if there can be a 'right' side) I thank you. If the vacant members are on a forced exile, I'm sorry, because they possibly had positive things to offer. If their exile is self imposed, as was my brief departure, they will hopefully find fulfillment at an alternative location. You have previously posted, (I am paraphrasing here) to attack, or properly to criticize a persons statement or position is acceptable, to attack the person seldom is. The problem, of course, is discerning the line of demarcation between the two...!

No one was banned. Anyone who is not posting left of their own accord. Many of us get very emotionally involved in our posting and sometimes debating a topic does get way too personal. If folks aren't having fun then they should take a break. I post here because it is something I always have loved and look forward to.

It can be overwhelming. I have become very emotionally connected to victims of scams I have blogged about. I don't know if I will ever recover from losing the wonderful lady who we had helped for 3 years that lived with us for four months and then took her own life last year. The financial losses she suffered in MLM were insurmountable and she saw no hope for recovering financially. So, my work has put me in a postion that it can at times be hard to stay completely objective. I know very personally and painfully the dark side of MLM. Of course, that also inspires me to keep bloggoing in hopes that tragedies like that can be avoided.

I know virtually nothing about the scams, scammers and people who posted here. I had heard of Broker Jones but I thought he was dead and gone months ago. I read posts from people who have been here for a long time but I am finding it all a very steep learning curve.

I was asked to open a thread about Adland as I knew a fair bit about that place. I have recruited a few from Adland to come over here includung one who seems to think one of his programs is quite legitimate. He may be very genuine and one who needs to be put right about Adland. I know a lot about cyber bullies and the way that they they try to destroy people. One of their worst tactics is making claims that a naysayer suffers from certain medical conditions which will turn the rest of the forum against them. That is my soapbox because I know what two of Bob Krimm's Tristar Moderators (Brookie and Wiseowl) did to somebody who died of natural causes before these two monsters were shown up for what they really were. They claimed this South African woman who used the screen name PippaPosh was insane and put her through the third degree. When I defended her they claimed that I was almost as insane as she was.

If experience has taught me anything (and that is an issue in dispute) it's that generally it's easier to win a fight than it is to win a peace. My chief regret here is that I lacked either the wisdom or the available time (or both) to find a solution more palatable to more people. As it is I'm standing closer to what I think is right than I am to some people I do in fact care about. If they want to talk to me about the stands that were taken, they know how to contact me. But please do note that no one was banned and all are still welcome, which is why finding agreement is still the far better part of valor. Rules that were in place but may not have been properly enforced will be better attended to, but if saying that burns no bridges, no bridges are burnt from this end at least.

That is a very wise response and I would like to second that. I hope all will remember not to judge another member too harshly without taking the time to really get to know them. I have known the two posters in questions for years.

ALA is a brilliant man that is knowledgeable in so many areas I can't even touch. He is especially adept at taking the most egregious scammers to task in such clever ways. He is also just as passionate about his blogging as I am.

UnSaved Trash was a first rate moderator at Scam. He helped make this site what it is today and I think the world of him. He does not have my soft touch or bleeding heart, so he is tougher on folks than I ever am, but sometimes a slap in the face with reality is just what is needed.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here and I encourage everyone to take the time to do that. Also keep in mind it is not anyone's job to reform anyone else here. It is supposed to be fun and relaxed. I find incredible victory in anything positive that comes out of my blogging. That one father of 3 who was about to join a high dollar Aussie Two-Up had his money mentored back into his own account in part because of me. How wonderful that SavedbyGod found me and was saved from losing thousands of dollars.

I can't change the world, but I have helped a few people along the way and that is what I thought this was all about and I find incredible joy in that.

ALA made some comments about the EZ family of scams that have been around for a long time. If he has anything more constructive to add to that, I would certainly appreciate the knowledge. When and where he first encountered the owners whom I only know as Jason and Stacey who claimed to be husband and wife could help.

And yes they scammed everyone...
They lived in Tennessee USA at the time...
They were part of a group of scammers that included John who owned Fairpatton(dot)com....Jake the snake Amadee of ASA fame and Stella and Marc of Solidtrustpay fame and a few others....Their head lacky was O'l Possum who was also an admin for ASA...

Thanks "okosh". We are getting somewhere now. Jason was the husband and tech guy. Stacey was the wife who did all the marketing. The Krimm mod "wiseowl" and her associate Brenda were the biggest promoters whom I have encountered other than this Kathleen VanBeenoken from Adland who has been mentiond by HM. I joined EZ Surf and Earn under Brenda and I discovered a new problem very quickly. I discovered i-threads all over my web pages. They were very new threats which were extremely dangerous at that time and very few people had the expertise required to get rid of them. I was very lucky to have a web host who explained how they worked and he deleted them all for me.

When the EZ thing was on the verge of collapse they started another the new family of 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th Dimension surfs scams where one was expected to join all four These EZ scams are not third rate. They are very sophisticated.

I have never heard of Wicked Hits. Maybe somebody else can find out and we can build up the EZ thread started by HM.
