Total hours= 71
MUEN (Music Ensemble) hours= 15 of 4 on degree plan
MUAP (Private Music Lesson) hours= 21 of 8 on degree plan
Music Theory / Aural Skills hours= 8 of 16 on degree plan
Core hours = 16 of 32 on degree plan
Recital hours (required but not on Associate's or Bachelor's degree plan) = 4
Additional hours= 7
Another student that is nowhere near getting an Associate's Degree and that has piles of hours that are not on a music degree plan or any other degree plan for any major for that matter. God forbid this poor man try to transfer his 16 core hours (of 42 typically on a Bacheltor's Degree) and change majors. The music chair filling would never happen at a real school / 4 year university. Why are students put in those excess hours that prevent them from taking needed courses and leaves them so overwhelmed that they may fail or not earn good marks in their other required classes? Where is the oversight at Richland and in DCCCD proper? Why are the taxpayers having to foot the bill for this music party?
