David M. Walker, MD, MBA, DFAPA was raised in Vicksburg and Clinton, Mississippi, and received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry (BS) from the University of Southern Mississippi. He then joined the United States Air Force and attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). After medical school, he chose a combined military/civilian residency in psychiatry at Wright Patterson AFB/Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Upon completion of military residency training, he served at Travis AFB before pursuing an interest in forensic psychiatry.
� Led the combined Air Force/VA psychiatric unit and held a faculty appointment at the University of California at Davis completing fellowship training in forensic psychiatry at the University of South Carolina.
� Chief of Hospital Psychiatric Services at Lackland AFB
� Faculty appointment at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.
� Clinical Director of Forensic Services for Georgia�s only maximum-security forensic hospital, Central State Hospital (CSH).
� Taught medical students from Mercer University (Macon, Ga) and forensic psychiatry fellows from Emory University (Atlanta).
� 2009-Medical Director of Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville
� 2009-Associate Chair of Veteran�s Programs for the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Louisville.
� 2012-named Deputy Chief of Staff for VA in Louisville.
� 2013, appointed Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care for VA in Louisville.

Dr. Walker is board certified in Psychiatry and the subspecialty of Forensic Psychiatry. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has served as president of the Kentucky Psychiatric Medical Association. Dr. Walker also completed a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) in 2012 at the University of Louisville

I can't say a lot about the VA stuff except that I know that my veteran hubs is, and has since he started at the VA, is working his butt off to always improve the care for his fellow servicemen. He isn't the only one either. He works 14 hr days trying to fix problems and make sure the vets get what they need.

Lina Andersson Nico yes it is possible to have intolerance against all sugars . Some diseases come with a shitload of intolerances to foods that we can't have .. Maybe it's not an allergy but this is in fact worse . And intolerance also creates immune responses . You don't need an to be allergic to get anaphylaxis ..

Nico Sermoneta Coffee beans aren't beans. Also, you can't be allergic to all sugars ending in ose. All sugars end in ose, because ose is the suffix which means sugar. You may be sensitive to sugars, as in diabetic, but that is different from allergic. Being allergic to something means that it causes an autoimmune response.
