The students that got put in that class that is not college level, will not transfer, but does eat up financial aid and in-state tuition hours got combined into 1 section about a week ago. Logan is gone and enrollment is not going to allow the class to make so her section was eliminated. Last night they dropped the remaining section (81800.) So, those mislead students are now in the proper Music Theory 1 and will have to take Ear Training as well. As we can see the 3 students dumped into Music Theory 1 have not been added to the required Ear Training 1. But, registration ends tomorrow with many classes have been filled and many having been already cancelled in all the classes offered for the entire college. Now, these students have their schedules completely screwed up and no time to rework them.

Musi 1111 does not exist. They must co-enroll in the class above. Derrick Logozzo is incompetent. That and the many other glaring mistakes in the schedule should have been corrected in April. Numerous classes have misinformation in the listing across the board in Logozzo's music mess.

Derrick Logozzo's and Melissa Logan's dirty trick of putting all Freshman into the pre-college theory class has now been ended by a bean counter over their heads. That saves students from being trapped in this mess of a program for 3 or more years. And, as in real music schools, the students will start in Music Theory 1. Those who do not have the music background, work ethic or skills to make it in music will be weeded out in their first semester before they use up financial aid and in-state tuition hours that they will need for a degree that will actually lead to gainful employment / a real job.

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Student Success | Richland College Media and News Page

Richland is lightening fast to showcase student success in their various media, but can't mention the 15-20 music students that Derrick Logozzo claims are in receipt of over $1,000,000.00 in scholarships over two years at 4 year universities across the country to fish Bachelor's Degrees in music. That is a whopping $25,000.00 - $33,333.33 per year per student average. Where is the coverage of this record breaking, earth-shattering success??????

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

    Dallas College

    14h ·
Hey Fall 2021 students, we've got your back! We have extended our payment deadline to Aug. 24 AND are answering phones until midnight. Make sure you confirm your financial aid status, pay your tuition or start a payment plan (with only $50 down) by next Tuesday.
Dallas College is a predatory, disorganized mess. Registration is ending today. It should have ended days ago. The taxpayers have to fund this endless party on our dime. Dallas College keeps bragging about how huge the enrollment is. Students being put in 100 - 161 credit hours of music and lot of other nonsense cost the taxpayers millions. Students exhaust their financial aid and are trapped in out of state tuition upon transfer and don't get marketable job skills. We don't need big numbers. We need documented success. Why isn't Dallas College talking completion rates, transfer rates and successful transfers that lead to Bachelor's Degrees?

The incredible adjuncts with Master's and Doctoral Degrees are left hanging. These professors never know what will make and what they will be teaching. Accepting payments this late just adds to the chaos. Classes already are cancelled after they have started. This will just exacerbate that. When classes get cancelled close to the start of the semester or even worse once the semester has started, students can't change their schedules. Students get trapped in the programs at Dallas College for years and many don't finish because one never knows what classes will make. If it is on a degree plan and offered then the class needs to make.

Programs such as music that are offered on multiple campuses have yet to be combined into the one college. The music program is a monumental screw-up. 78 MUEN (ensembles) were offered district wide in previous semesters. About 20 will make in the whole college this semester across all of the campuses. 236 private lessons are offered as of today. The vast majority have 0 to 1 students. How many professors across how 7 campuses teaching the same instrument does the college really need? Total shambles!

The voters need to clean out this board. There is not proper oversight and clearly Dallas College needs new leadership. The taxpayers should have a program that is well-organized with honest advisors that follow degree plans and help students prepare for gainful employment. We should have a program is is run in a fiscally responsible manner.

Who knows what classes will survive the wait and see who pays game we have going now.

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Registration ended yesterday. Here are the current numbers. They could change as payment was supposed to be due on Tuesday the 17th, but the idiots in charge moved that to Tuesday August 24th after classes have started. 3 of the 10 ensembles are well below the usual 10 registrants required for the class to make. There is nowhere near the 20 performing groups that Logozzo keeps braying about.

Note the armies of instructors / professors. 97 sections / classes of MUAP (private lessons.) 1 section / class for each instructor. There are only 29 students in Music Theory 1 and 25 students in Music Theory 3. It is a two-year program so that constitutes the bulk of the students. The program is not viable or sustainable thanks to Derrick Logozzo and Melissa Logan's predatory advising that has driven off students in droves. Choir has historically had 50 singers in Chamber plus several other large ensembles. The Wind Symphony usually boasts 40 players and there would be numerous smaller jazz and chamber groups. This is a bloodbath.

Those students registered for private lessons plus a few percussionists, a guitar player for Big Band Jazz and piano players thrown in for good measure comprise the 40 members of the Big Band Jazz and Wind Symphony. Clearly the glory days of chair tests are gone. Some instruments aren't covered at all and many are covered by a single player. So everyone no matter how sucky is pretty much first chair!

The U.S. Department of Education states:
    Accreditation in the United States
For more on the latest information on accreditation released by the Department, please click here.

    Institutional Accrediting Agencies
The following accrediting agencies are recognized by the Secretary as reliable authorities concerning the quality of education or training offered by the institutions of higher education or higher education programs they accredit.

    https://www2.ed.gov/admins/finaid/ac...lInstitutional
National Association of Schools of Music, Commission on Accreditation
    1952/2019/S2024
Scope of recognition: the accreditation throughout the United States of freestanding institutions that offer music and music related programs (both degree and non-degree-granting) including those offered via distance. This recognition also extends to the Commission on Community College Accreditation.
NASM is the only national accrediting organization for music programs. The college and its Richland Campus music program have no national accreditation listed.

The Dallas College Richland Campus pages used to show the NASM accreditation. The college president contacted me by phone several times to discuss the myriad of issues in that collapsing department. I have made numerous reports to the fraud department. After one such report the NASM accreditation plug was removed from the college website. I gave the college all the contact information for NASM so that they could confirm that the accreditation had in fact been revoked.

Derrick Logozzo still claims that the Richland Music Department is "Nationally Accredited." Dallas College is properly regionally accredited and numerous programs / departments have national and other specialized accreditations. Those are displayed all over the website and the accreditation can be easily confirmed with the accrediting institutions.

Derrick Logozzo needs to properly document this alleged "National Accreditation" or resign. We are also still waiting for the documentation on the over $1,000,000.00 in scholarships over two years for students that graduated from the Richland Campus and are transferring to complete music degrees. That wild and totally unsubstantiated claim would be earth-shattering and totally record breaking if it were true. But, 15-20 students getting over 1 million in scholarships is $25,000.00 - $33,333.33 per year (junior and senior) average. Most students are going to college close to home here in Texas. Are we really to believe that 15 or more students got full-rides and / or tens of thousands in scholarships after graduating from Logozzo's predatory and poorly run program that has barely had 15 people graduate a year and 5 or so actually complete Bachelor's Degrees in music???

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Total chaos as usual. All of Derrick Logozzo's classes still have TBA listed as the instructor. Who is actually the professor teaching those sections? The 2 choirs left of 5 show Melissa Logan who left on July 7th. No job opening was ever listed for a choral conductor. Do those sections have a qualified professor lined up to teach them?

Usually 10 or more students are required for a class to make. Are we going to have more of the traditional Dallas College first week folly with classes being cancelled after they have already met? It is castatrophic to have classes cancelled, moved or combined this late. Then students can't change their schedules to get the courses they need to graduate.

Not any at this time. They took away the good and destroyed it. If it is bad it was included.some wonderful people trying to survive.

      Cons
The Socialist model. This is to make sheep of the students. They can’t fail, the goal is indoctrination, the staff is politically correct . It is a mess. Employee are the last people on the list of importance there!

      Advice to Management
The socialist model does not work. It is like you took a piece of hell and brought it to Dallas College.Very unfair hiring practices. Nepotism. Cultural favoritism. Unqualified personnel for positions over those qualified. Domineering leadership. No respect for employees.Work them like a dog because the ancillary help is let go. The employee removal process is demoralizing. Notify a long time good, loyal worker they have 15-30 minutes to leave, walked out by the police like they did something wrong. Walk the campuses no one is happy. All of the joy is gone. It smells like a dictatorship. Awful, awful, awful! So sad to watch what was good with flaws destroyed for an ideology. Free this, free that! Dallas taxpayers the students get everything for free even their grades. Do not apply here unless you are a minority. Building a mess!

      Cons
Top heavy organizational structure. Disorganized HR department.
Dallas College is the taxpayers worst nightmare. No Comment: Public Universities' Social Media Use Taxpayers have the absolute right to an open discourse on how their tax dollars are spent. False accreditation claims, dirty advising, fantastical unsubstantiated claims of million+ $$$$ in scholarships to graduating Richland music students and more.

Where is the Dallas College board?? Government entities should be transparent, collaborative, participatory and accountable. All Dallas College social media should welcome constructive criticism & tough questions from the taxpayers funding this. https://dallascollege.edu/about/financia

First Amendment Explained Compliments of FIRE, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education

That is for the ignorant fools at Dallas College who do not understand that students and taxpayers have the absolute right to an open discourse on how their tax dollars are being spent or wasted. The First Amendment!

VICTORY: With FIRE’s help, Florida Atlantic University overhauls problematic media policies that inhibited student journalism Richland Student Media can stop lying about the accreditation and start covering the stories of these glorious alleged scholarships and the advising scandal.

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Derrick Logozzo is clearly out of the building. His ensemble students got unceremoniously dumped this morning after getting an email from CAED (School of Creative Arts Entertainmanet & Design) yesterday afternoon telling them the classes had been changed to the second 8 week Fall 2021 session only. The classes are now empty. And, there are only 2 choirs, 3 string classes and guitar ensemble remaining. The instrumentalists have nowhere to land.

Any percussion students who are still determined to go forward in music should change sections now. Derrick Logozzo is gone and William Klymus is a fantastic percussionist. Richland is blessed to have such superb faculty.

A Cappella. Mixed Choir. Audition required.

Melissa Logan's last day was July 7th. He name plate and horrifically embarrassing kiddie star chart have been ripped off the wall. The choir was scheduled to start today and disagraced Department Head Derrick Logozzo, who is no longer teaching any courses promised, on July 9th:

    1. Choral Students: At this time, we are active in pursuit of the individual(s) teaching choral music at Richland in the Fall. Discussions and developments will continue. Commitment to excellence will remain. Updates to come.
The few stragglers, no more than 10, that registered for choir were sitting out in the hall at the middle of the scheduled class time. Another fail. Apparently, the choir actually has no director. Though the Eastfield and Brookhaven campuses have incredible directors, the students were not advised to get involved in those well established programs.

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Since Derrick Logozzo has been axed from the schedule, recital class that he decided to take over after Logan retired is now slated to start in October. Normally, the first recital is the Music Department orientation and all of the adjuncts that teach lessons (MUAP) come up to the college at that time to meet with students and schedule lessons. No one bothered to tell the adjuncts that recital is not happening tomorrow. We contacted a professor about another matter and sure enough no communication at Dallas College. How many professors will go charging up there from miles away for naught??

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

For the record the Big Band Jazz and Wind Symphony that have no instructors should have made. There are armies of adjuncts far more qualified that Derrick Logozzo to teach those classes. Derrick Logozzo's groups excluding the Steel Sounds percussion (which is not necessary for students to graduate and transfer) needn't have been cancelled the day before class started and scheduled for an October 8 week session.

There are so many professors there with doctorates and or Master's Degree and enormous performing experience with the top ensembles in the country. Why weren't they even asked to take over those groups? One instructor there led the Big Band Jazz before Derrick Logozzo stole it from him and the group was traveling and winning awards under his superb direction.

There is no excuse for the choir spot not to have been filled after the disgraced former director left on July 7th. Again, the choirs had incredible direction under an adjunct already there and the Eastfield and Brookhaven campuses have excellent well established programs.

The music programs across the college are in complete disarray and will have to be combined. Many students have been dumped from classes they need to graduate, had no way to totally redo their schedules a this juncture and will be trapped for another year as things as so poorly planned and managed. I also met music students that were in other programs and found out just a few days ago that they had to travel across the county to get a single class at the Richland Campus that they needed. Total chaos and disorganization.

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Students registered in the MUAP (private lessons):
    1000 level (half hour / 1 credit) 2000 level (hour / 2 credit)

    Flute 0 1
    Oboe 0 0
    Bassoon 0 0
    Clarinet 0 1
    Saxophone 1 2
    Trumpet 1 3
    French Horn 0 1
    Trombone 1 1
    Baritone 0 0
    Tuba 0 0
No point in re-registering for Big Band Jazz or Wind Symphony. That is all the students currently registered and I expect those numbers to drop as the classes are being cancelled by the boatload.

Scratch that. Logozzo is clearly on his way out the door. We all await an official announcement.

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Day 3 of the semester and the choir students were sitting out in the hall twiddling their thumbs as apparently there is still no instructor. Richland's once incredible choir that traveled and performed extensively is now a little group of students I can count on my fingers. They are a motley crew that were pushed to be music majors by Logozzo and Logan and are still wildly racking up credit hours whether they have any chance of making a living in music or not.

The choir already lost a whole week. There is an adjunct there that already led choirs and did a fantastic job and voice teachers that could take the choir as an interim director since the college was too dense to send them to Eastfield or Brookhaven where all the choral and vocal activities should be going forward.

Edited to add that the first week of the semester is ending and Melissa Logan is still listed as the instructor for the 2 choral offerings. Why is there still no one teaching that class?

The students signed up in the To be Announced sections (once listing Derrick Logozzo as the instructor and where Logozzo registered them) are dropping. Why have all these students not been moved into Klymus' sections? He is an incredible percussionist and teacher. Lessons start in a few days. Total fail! When is a professor going to be assigned and contacting these students to get lessons started? Derrick Logozzo has destroyed this music department.

Finally, Savova has her choir back and they could not be in better hands!!! Now, the choir can do challenging music and rebuild the program Richland to the level of excellence it has always been known for. I look forward to singing with my old choir again in the future and seeing community members welcomed once again. Rachel Moon is a former Richland Jazz Singer and will be fantastic. Progress!

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

    MUSI 1183 (1 Credit Hours)
Listed by Campus(es): BHC, CVC, EFC, ECC, MVC, NLC, RLC
    Course Title: Voice Class I

This is a Texas Common Course Number.
Course Description: This course is for non-voice majors. It presents the principles of breathing, voice production, tone control, enunciation, and phrasing in two group lessons a week. This course may be repeated for credit. (2 Lab.)
Coordinating Board Academic Approval Number 5009085126
All three sections of Voice Class have been cancelled. Its about time. Richland's dirty music advisors, Melissa Logan and Derrick Logozzo, put dozens of students they conned into being music majors in that class. It is for non-voice majors and will not transfer. All it does do is use up financial aid and rocket students toward out of state tuition. Maybe now the college will consolidate their programs and run them like real music schools are run. All voice and instrumental students (concentration and majors) should have studio classes and masterclasses as part of their MUAP (private lessons) as all real music programs do.

    Keyboard Studies
TThe Department of Music at Texas A&M University-Commerce offers a thorough academic foundation and encourages creativity, developing aesthetic awareness in students at every level. The keyboard department strives to develop the unique interests of all keyboard majors and to expand their horizons. Our undergraduate and graduate students receive personal attention and are provided with the tools to develop, sharpen, and expand their keyboard skills through performing, teaching, composing, and studying of standard literature. Our outstanding faculty is committed to nurturing students on a one-on-one basis.

Piano students receive weekly private lessons, and participate in weekly studio classes. Our comprehensive curriculum supplements the keyboard studies with diverse music courses including those in literature, history, theory, conducting, jazz studies, as well as accompanying.

There are numerous performance opportunities for students, whether their emphasis is piano or organ. Our piano students earn valuable experience participating in chamber music ensembles and accompanying in applied studios or in one of our ensembles. Master classes, workshops, and lectures by visiting artists are an added bonus in our students’ learning experience.

    Our Goals
Our goal is to provide students the guidance and encouragement to advance in their musical careers. In today’s competitive world, it is crucial to provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to succeed. Our faculty is devoted to helping students find the program that better meets their educational and professional needs.

    Scholarships and Assistantships
There are many sources of scholarships available to students depending on the result of the audition. All applicants need to complete their online applications to the university and audition before May 1 of the academic year to be fully considered for scholarships. Students pursuing a graduate degree may be eligible for a graduate assistantship. The amount of the awards varies according to the student’s talent, and potential contribution to the department. Students accepted into the Honors College receive full tuition and housing.

    Personal Attention
With approximately 275 students, the music department offers a low 4:1 student-faculty ratio, small classes and frequent one-on-one instruction. Every student works closely with his or her mentor, a faculty member who serves as the student’s artistic and academic advisor.

For Audition information, please e-mail me or visit the Texas A&M University-Commerce Department of Music website.

University Mission Statement Texas A&M University-Commerce nurtures and educates for success through access to academic, research, and service programs of high quality. Mission Statement The Music Department of Texas A&M University – Commerce promotes excellence in music through the rigorous study of music history, literature, theory, composition, pedagogy, and the preparation of music performance in applied study and ensemble to meet the highest standards of aesthetic expression. Student Learning Outcomes By the completion of the semester, the student should be able to:

    1. Learn and perform accurately at least three pieces from different style periods, a contrapuntal work and an etude.
    2. Perform from memory two of the works studied in the semester in studio class and/or studio recital.
    3. Apply a healthy approach to the instrument in practice and performance.
    4. Play selected scales, arpeggios, chord progressions, exercises, and etudes.
    5. Perform from memorize selected works for juries.

Drop Date If you need to drop this course without penalty, please refer to the current academic calendar. Be aware that your scholarship and/or degree requirements specify a certain number of applied lesson credits. Dropping this course may ultimately affect your scholarship disbursement and/or graduation date. Student Expectations
Students are expected to attend all required classes and events. Failure to attend mandatory events will result in the deduction of one letter grade from your semester grade. Only 1 absence will be allowed; after that, each absence will result in the deduction of 10 points from your semester grade. I reserve the right to drop a student from the course after four absences. Repeated lateness (after two) for class will also be penalized by lowering your final grade by 5 points for each tardy. Medical excuses and university-sponsored trips are acceptable reasons for missing class. If you do not bring your music to your lesson, that lesson will count as an absence.
Students are expected to come prepared to their lesson. Lack of preparation is no excuse for rescheduling lessons. Lessons may only be rescheduled in case of illness, school event, or if I am unavailable. In extreme circumstances, you may consider switching your lesson time with another student. I will distribute a studio directory so that you can contact other students in the event you need to switch a lesson. Understand that you should only use this as a last resource and that you must plan your week appropriately to complete your practice and come prepared to your lesson. By the third week of the semester, all students must have purchased copies of their music. Even though you may use photocopies for lessons, you are required to have your OWN music for the midterm and juries. No borrowed books or library copies will be allowed. It is your responsibility and expectation to build your own music library. The Internet and IMSLP are convenient resources, yet many times, these editions have errors in them or are unreliable. If you are uncertain of what editions to buy, please consult with me during the first week of school. Failure to bring your own music for juries and midterm will deduct 2 letter grades from your final grade. Recording Students are encouraged to record their lessons and their performances in studio class. If you would like to use the CD recording device that is in my office you can either use CDs or an SDHC Flash memory card. If you would like me to provide the blank CDs please bring $5 to cover the cost of CDs for the entire semester. It is your responsibility to remind me to insert a blank CD at the beginning of each lesson. You will also have access to video of lessons and studio classes and other events. Required Practice Students are required to practice daily.Piano performance majors are required to practice a minimum of 4 hours each day at least 6 days a week....
Repertoire Each student will have specific repertoire assignments for the entire semester. You will also receive a worksheet indicating your technique requirements for the midterm and juries. Sight-reading Each student’s sight-reading level will be assessed during the first week of the semester. I have selected the Keith Snell Piano Repertoire publications, published by Kjos, www.kjos.com. Students will be responsible for purchasing the three books (Baroque & Classical, Romantic & Twentieth-Century, and Etudes) for the assigned level. Midterm Exam A midterm exam is scheduled for October 18-19. A sign up sheet with 10-minute slots will be posted one week prior to the exam. Content of the exam:

    1. Technique requirements as determined on the first week of the semester.
    2. An etude
    3. Sight-reading

Students who are performing a degree recital this semester will not be expected to play the Etude for their midterm, unless it is part of the recital repertoire. Jury All students are required to complete a jury on December 13, unless they have completed a degree recital, in which case they will only be required to perform the technique assignments for the semester at juries. A sign up sheet will be December 7. Content of the exam:

    1. Technique
    2. 3 contrasting pieces.
    3. Sight-reading.
    4. Video upload of the etude performed at midterm (Due date: December 1)

Piano Minors will play the technique assigned for the semester and two contrasting pieces. Recital Hearings and Recitals Students scheduled to perform a degree recital will be required to successfully complete a recital hearing 3 weeks prior to the scheduled date of the recital. Poor performance in the recital hearing will result in the rescheduling of the recital for the following semester and a failing grade. In extreme circumstances, a student may be allowed to reschedule the recital for the same semester at a later time. Studio Recital and Convocation All students are expected to perform at least once during the semester. The Fall Studio Recital is scheduled for December 3 at 6 pm in the Recital Hall. Convocation dates available for piano students will be announced later in the semester. Studio Class
Studio class is scheduled on Mondays and Fridays 4:00 to 5:00 pm in the Recital Hall. Please check your e-mail regularly for updates. All students currently enrolled in my studio are expected to perform in at least 3 studio classes.
Program Notes You will be responsible for writing program notes for all pieces performed in degree recitals or juries. Program notes will be due on week 5. You will receive a handout with a few samples to help you determine the content, length, and appropriate writing style to complete this assignment. Listening Assignments Students will have listening assignments during the semester that will aid them in the study and preparation of the selected repertoire and further exploration of the piano literature and its place in Western Music. Practice Room Etiquette Students will not be allowed to leave books or personal belongings in the piano practice rooms. You may want to have a locker if you would like to store items in the music building. Food and drinks will not be allowed in the practice rooms either. Only bottled water (no open containers!) can be used in the practice room but they should never be placed on the pianos. Please make sure other music students are treating our instruments appropriately. Piano maintenance: Forms to report problems with the piano can be found on the Piano Bulletin board (By the piano lab). Make sure you complete these forms every time you find an issue with one of the pianos. Try to be as specific and as clear as you can so that Mr. Mike Terrill, the piano technician, can fix the problem when he is on campus. Grading:
    Weekly lesson preparation 40% Midterm 20% Jury Or Recital 30% Program Notes/Assignments 10% A=100-90; B=89-80; C=79-70; D=69-60; F=59-0

Comments: Chamber Woodwinds/Chamber Percussion Ensemble formats. Students in MUEN 1152 must be co-enrolled in MUEN 1122, MUEN 1137, MUEN 1134 or MUEN 1135 at Richland.

This useless class just got cancelled and removed from the schedule as it should have been. Of the whopping 4 students enrolled, most were probably percussion students. They should meet weekly for a short studio class that is part of their private lessons in the future. Dallas College needs to run their program properly as the 4 year universities do it and prepare these students properly to transfer.

Deuby only has 1 private (clarinet) student this semester, but all of the woodwind students should have weekly studio classes as well (just as they would in a real school.) With out of state tuition starting at 150 credit hours and financial aid ending at 180 hours classes like this that are not on any degree plans should not be offered. Dallas College needs to pay its adjuncts to do studio and master classes and pay for guest artists to come in and hold master classes as real schools do.

re: Kilgore College Hires Derrick Logozzo (Dallas College / DCCCD Richland Music Advisor Out of State Tuition Scam)

Derrick Logozzo claims endlessly that there are 20 performing ensembles. He counts really funny!!!!! There are 6 ensembles currently and 3 more that are offered for an 8 week mini-mester starting on October 18. What were formerly Derrick Logozzo's Big Band Jazz, Steel Band and Wind Symphony are on the schedule with TBA for the instructor.

The numbers have dropped in the past few days and now stand at 20 students in Big Band Jazz, 12 in Steel Band and a derisory 16 enrolled in Wind Symphony. Wind Symphony is far less than half the size is has historically been and that it needs to be to perform.

The following private lesson enrollments will not nearly even begin to support the bands offered.
    1000 level (half hour / 1 credit) 2000 level (hour / 2 credit)

    Flute 0 1
    Oboe 0 0
    Bassoon 0 0
    Clarinet 0 1
    Saxophone 1 2
    Trumpet 1 3
    French Horn 0 1
    Trombone 2 1
    Baritone 0 0
    Tuba 0 0
