  Mike Anderson On the Contour Entertainment page (the company that is developing EarthQuest) is says now that they are in the funding stage. They are still trying to get it built. If there is one thing I KNOW from reading Soapbox Mom/Heather Clark postings, it is that you CAN NOT believe ONE THING that she writes on the internet. She lies, she draws ridiculous, inane conclusions, makes up numbers out of her butt and only seems to live to get her name in sleezy, free garbage can newspapers. What a loser. I'm glad the admin deleted her postings at this page. We don't need any of her misinformation and slander at this page.

Sorry Charlie or is that Mikey??? I am all facts, truth and opinion. Let's have that number you disagree with and the verifiable information to disprove it boneheads! The p[roject has been in the fundraising stage for years. It will never get out of that stage without hundreds of millions in funding from investors. And, like I said with the litigious goon Holbrook demanding money, the intellectual property rights in question (Don Lessem seems to want them back) and the FBI investigating, this deal is most likely dead in the water.

Holbrook has a trial date with the city of Huber Heights for next May, but the case could drag on for years. No matter the outcome, the fact he lost his frivolous third-party suit and the fact the city was displeased enough with his work to boot him and sue him for a full refund will haunt him forever. I said when this first came up he should have settled before the bloggers and journalists learned of this debacle and never made such public threats. Suing John and Jane Doe taxpayers was his fatal mistake business wise. He will never live that horrific faux pas down!!!

I guess Mikey has his britches in a twist because Frank "The Bank" McCrady isn't part of the Chez Nous crew any longer and his partying days on the taxpayers dime have ended, so he isn't being treated by Frank any more!

Holbrook is hell bent on chasing down anyone who has dared to say something he, the Lord and master of the internet, doesn't like. He has been tangled in numerous lawsuits, bankruptcies and controversial departures from employment over the years. How much more negative publicity does he wish to generate? How many more people in Texas and Nevada are going to have to waste their time with this clown in court?

The Partnership for Economic Development has decided to part ways with its president, Don Holbrook.
The non-profit group issued a short press release Friday announcing that Holbrook's contract would not be renewed. The press release states the decision was mutual and came after "much deliberation.".....

Nexsen would not discuss specific reasons for the decision when contacted by Today's News-Herald. According to the press release, Holbrook stated he wishes to pursue other opportunities within the field of economic development and wishes the PED continued success.

Holbrook's employment with PED ended Friday. His contract was set to expire within about 30 days, Nexsen said.

A search for a new president will begin immediately, said Nexsen, who will be in charge of day-to-day operations during that time.

Choosing whether to believe Holbrook or a reputable media source is not a hard one for me. If Lake Havasu loved him and was so anxious to get a multi-year commitment out of him they never would have sent him packing 30 days before his contract expired!

Lord only knows how many lawsuit threats he made that time!

What are the primary functions of a grand jury?

The Tribune has learned that the FBI served federal grand jury subpoenas several weeks ago to those close to EMCID..... The Tribune has learned that EMCID has hired prominent Houston lawyer Rusty Hardin, who, according to his website, represents “major corporations, public agencies and high-profile individuals in both civil and criminal litigation.”

EMCID has spent more than $100,000 in taxpayer dollars in the last two months, with more than $75,000 going to Hardin alone. Several additional law firms have also been paid thousands of dollars.

Holbrook and his friends must be feeling tremendous heat. How will Holbrook afford a high priced defense attorney if the taxpayers of Texas won't foot that bill too???

Given gASSbags propensity to and past history of flapping his GINORMOUS jawbone, what and who's to say the taxpayers of EMC AREN'T funding part of his defense to keep that jawbone from flapping some more? If, after 2 long years and getting absolutely nada info. on the EQI from it's CEO, Sir gASSbag himself, about what was being done with all the money, you think Leah Napoliello and the BBB could have added 2 and 2 and figured it out. Makes you wonder wether or not thier desks were situated directly behind gASSbags while he was persuing his degree at that Ivy-League school he attended in La., La Salle. Watching those interviews gave me one of those deja vu moments. A number of years ago the county I live in went through a political corruption scandal of such magnitude that just to be safe the FBI used agents from out of state to investigate because they knew it was very wide spread, so much so that they initially couldn't discount the (later proven unfounded) possibility that their local office was compromised.

I have no information which would indicate that East Montgomery County is facing anything at all like that but sometimes the way one corrupt county department gets away with the games they play is because they're sharing the loot with the same people who's job it is to stop them from playing those games. In our case, after a very long investigation our former county commissioner and former county auditor (as well as several of their most connected friends) are doing jail time and a good number of their lesser friends and associates are no longer on the counties payroll.

I hope all you good people wont have to face anything like that but a lot of times a fish rots from the head.

Part 3 is very informative. The CEO behind the defunct Earthquest Institute and brainchild behind the perpetually stalled and likely failed Earthquest theme park are one in the same --- Don Allen Holbrook.

An opinion is not fact and not actionable. It is how someone feels about something. A limited public figure or public figure that is going file a defamation suit would be well advised to come in with provably false statements of fact. Folks taking tax dollars will be scrutinized and the media storm is just in its infancy for Earthquest I believe!

The taxpayers money was spent to some (rather large it appears) degree at Holbrook's behest. What kind of representations did he make to McCrady and the rather clueless board members? What kind of ridiculous recommendations did he make to this group? Holbrook set it up so he had a finger in every pie and obvious conflicts of interest so the EMCID became a veritable cash cow for him. He was living the lifestyle of the rich and famous off of EMC. Holbrook suing everyone who ever dared comment will allow all that to be made public.

The fortune he amassed off of these hicks makes this totally unconscionable!! Remember the only income he listed and discussed in his bankruptcy is the veritable fortune EMCID pays him. EMCID was listed as his source of income. And, they were paying him exponentially more a year than the average taxpayers were making for a defunct charity and failed theme park. There is absolutely nothing to show for all the hundreds of thousands paid to Holbrook!!! I hope the grand jury can take decisive action related to this and see the next "Music Man" can't pull another one!!!

New questions arise about amusement park project | News - Home

Local 2 also obtained signed contracts showing those two executives would each be paid a $250,000 bonus if the institute actually constructed a building inside the theme park.

Local 2 Investigates found the majority of non-profit's board of directors -- who eventually made decisions on how taxpayer dollars were spent -- also had connections to the for-profit theme park project.

The non-profit's CEO was a paid consultant for the park. The non-profit's treasurer worked for the theme park's developer. That developer, the elected chairman of the EMCID, and the founder of the park itself also served on the non-profit's board of directors.

"It all just seems very much in-house and in the family," said Leah Napoliello, an investigator for the Houston Better Business Bureau. "No one is really there governing the organization and saying where the money was going."

For two years, Napoliello says the BBB has been asking Earthquest Institute for information on how it used the money. So far, Napoliello says she's received no answers.

"Most non-profits are very clear and open about how they are spending their money," said Napoliello. "They say, 'This is where we are doing this educational program; we're helping these clients.' It's usually very straightforward, upfront and to the point."

Napoliello said she's never seen a government agency be the primary donor to a non-profit group like this. She also says she's never seen non-profit performance bonuses as high as the bonuses listed in the Earthquest Institute contracts.

No doubt the dubious consultant Holbrook cooked up those bonuses and added in Marlin Atlantis' (the paid developers wench) to convince that idiot McCrady and those flunky board members that it was customary and legit. Earthquest and its related charity appear to be little more than Holbrook's personal pocketbooks!!!!

These startling revelations are sure to send any legitimate investors running in the opposite direction. They would never agree to pay charges like this or satisfy the bonds in the initial stages with their own dime!

I recommend that all the donors consider demanding refunds from the Institute and formally filing a complaint with the IRS:

Lest we forget the huge bonuses Holbrook wrote into his contracts. A quarter mil if a building housing EQI was built at the theme park. (IF) yea, you KNOW it'd be built, more than likely with a gold-plated trough out back for the CEO and his cronies to continue stuffing their pie-holes courtesy of the theme-park. And what percentage was Sir gASSbag set to recieve if the park was built?

Today what is most scary for those of us that wind up getting coverage in the media is the fear of being targeted maliciously by someone with nothing but malice and self righteous justification for their harmful actions as their motivation. In the past it was our fear that the media would print inaccurate statements about us, which is quite common. Now it is our even worse nightmare of some sicko deranged functioning psychopath finding us. If you have this happen to you then you will understand. They tend go to any length online to post comments that are both untrue and defamatory. They are delusional normally so they invent their own version of facts laced with enough real information to make their attacks sound almost plausible. If you confront them (that is what they want) they just attack you more seeking to raise and elevate their own desire for self worth by destroying your own life and livelihood if they can.

Consider this, your clients shy away from you fearing they will become targeted. Just as any that the stalker can find have experienced. This makes recovering your business stability difficult, time consuming and expensive. Worse yet is our spouse and kids are subjected to this crap by the sheer nature of search engine optimization.

These psychopaths quote the first amendment and think they are journalists or actual media professionals. As most professionals realize the first amendment does not permit defamation of character or libel.

While I have little regard for media professionals I have much less for these online stalkers and social media thugs. I am convinced most of them have deep seated emotional issues from their childhood and possibly adult lives.

You can sue these cyber stalkers but that takes several years and by then the damage is done. They are generally worthless financially so that does not justify the expense.
No, the best solution is to begin to lobby our congress to create strong new online defamation laws with criminal and civil fines and penalties. This new law would also force all such posts to be deleted from cyberspace. This is the only real answer that makes any sense.

In the end remember these stalkers are mentally unstable so don’t try to reason with them, they are incapable of clear thoughts and reasoning. Avoid them and then let nature run its course. Eventually they move to their next prey or one of their victims might actually snap and best them at their own game. Who knows but my advice is steer clear, don’t engage them, report them to the police, and write your Congressman about cyber stalking.

I hope you never have to deal with this in your life. As an act of last resort you can place a voodoo curse on them and at least work out your own frustrations through an old fashioned belief in what gets dished out gets retuned ten fold. LOL at least we hope so!
