If Holbrook, who was the vice president of a fundraising firm and was hired to secure investors for Earthquest (in fact bringing in his own people for the charity and project,) can't raise a paltry $7,000.00 for a small project, what hope is there for funding Earthquest???

Chris Brown and EMCID have no experience in financing or I would imagine even costing out large projects like this proposed theme park. I have no doubt they are still listening to their dubious consultant Don Holbrook, whose continued begging on Twitter hasn't gotten him a dime in weeks!

The Grand Texas Park is perfect for the Houston area. With that price tag it will be completed and could be sustained by local foot traffic alone. Earthquest is a behemoth with a hefty price tag and millions of dollars wasted already. Earthquest developers have bandied about various ridiculous figures, but one of them was 3 million visitors a year vs. Grand's 650,000. For a $600,000,000.00, or much more as it is likely they have underestimated the final construction cost, they will have a park that is impossible to keep solvent without that tremendous amount of foot traffic. Don Holbrook painted it as an international destination theme park, but I seriously doubt they will have the budget to promote it on that scale and it will end up imploding. When Earthquest implodes (assuming they can find investors for that pipe dream in the first place,) the taxpayers will once again be stick with a horrendous mess to deal with.

Let's hope Grand Texas gets the investor dollars!!!

I'm wondering what county this third site is located in. I'd hate to see a park built and not in EMC after all the taxpayers have been through there. If there was ever a time for Froggy to jump and dip into his personal portfolio
and treat someone (the Grand Texas Theme Park group) to Chez Nous in order to save face, now would be it.

Holbrook's explanation of how he sells timeshares (the unexploded Pinto salesman's approach) is quite telling. What a perfect fit for a dishonest, dirtbag. Does he throw in a few lawsuit threats for good measure???

When party boy Holbrook received his Fellow Member award, he was accompanied to that party by his drinking buddies from the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID). Holbrook had his hand in every pie with that group while consulting on that Earthquest international destination theme park fiasco. The real question is did the taxpayers get to fund the trip to that award ceremony???

Since he dropped out of the IEDC (International Economic Development Council), he is no longer a Fellow Member and can quite bragging about that phony designation he got whilst dishonestly pimping the Earthquest project years ago. The IEDc says, "A Fellow holds the classification as long as membership in the Council is maintained." I am sure that was good riddance for the IEDC!!!

McCrady and staff operations are often without proper oversight from elected board members, which has led to public board mistrust after a series of news reports first reported by The Tribune documented hundreds of thousands of dollars in board, staff and district consultant expenses, Idoux claims.....

Idoux claims she has been adamant in demands for increased transparency.

But, “It just seems like were not changing,” she said.

Some board members are not given equal information regarding expenses and existing ‘understood’ procedures, according to her.

“I believe steps were taken that deliberately kept the new people in the dark,” Idoux said.

This is a scathing commentary on the antics of Frank McCrady. Rumor has it Holbrook was in town recently and may still be trying to get more of the pie.

Don Holbrook bragged in May 2012 just before his attorney wench made the disastrous third-party suit filing:

The only true course someone has that has been targeted by such a person or group of people is to hire a very good attorney and litigate those that participated in damaging you.

Don Holbrook's legal battle with the city of Huber Heights is heating up and his attorney wench is proving once again just how foolish she is. Filing the losing third-party suit that resulted in her having to dismiss most of the parties they sued before they could even answer (as it was obvious the judge was going to do it for her and did for the remaining defendants) was just her first foible of many.

Now, his attorney wench is dragging out discovery. He was served the initial request in April 2012 and she responded in June 2012. There is now a Motion to Compel Discovery Directed to Defendant by Plaintiff and Request for Dismissal. Holbrook listed this simple report in his list of 100s of successful projects in one of his angry rants quoted below. That fraud Holbrook tried to sell these folks a destination theme park with Chris Brown of Contour entertainment and they ran him out of town with record speed. He had a very limited role in a project well underway when he swooped in and finished without any involvement on his part whatsoever. Bass Pro Shops hardly needed his help to expand across the country and come to Livingston Parrish. Holbrook is a total frost.
