Right, like the people posting on the "usual suspect" forums have any bloody idea at all of who's earning what.

They don't know (or ever will know) who is behind the scenes, who is skimming off the top, how many people are allowed to have multiple accounts or who is on the "inside" or the squillion other scams-within-the-scam which are running.

Shill bidding is one thing I wouldn't accuse ZR of doing. Not only for the technical issues KSChang points out but more for the endemic bid inflation in the program. The ratio of outstanding bids to available auctions has to be higher in ZR and it's clones than in any legitimate penny auction site just for the fact that ZR literally pays people to buy bids.

But the Disney cruise glitch has to sting. The company ~may have~ broke even on the deal and I'm sure on paper it might even look like a small profit. But with the NC AG sniffing around them I'm sure ZR was counting on this auction to attract many thousand more bids than it did to show the AG just how surrealistically profitable the auctions are.

Well worth the read. Sure do see a lot of out of compliance language in the article, maybe Troy and Peter can start a training course for reporters.

My money is on the whole Zeek Rewards saga turning out to be based on the second half of "The Sting" where EVERYTHING, right down to the very last detail turned out to be fake and the robbery was the only thing "real"

One question that bugs me, why does ZR need a warehouse? I mean it's a good cover story but I can't see how the logistics work out. Many (most?) people chose the cash option in lieu of the item anyway and it has to be cheaper to open up an Amazon affiliate account and use them as a drop shipper. Say ZR buys a stack of iPads for auction, how is it cheaper to ship them to North Carolina, stock them and reship them to the eventual winner than just buying them through Amazon on a "at need" basis? And there's no way in hell anyone or anything in ZR's shipping department will be more efficient than Amazon is.

The Dispatch photo reminds me very much of some of the incongruous ASD photos: people waiting in line for the exciting opportunity to turn over their cash and earn back 1 percent a day, more through "compounding."

Of course, the classic ASD snapshot was the one in which the troops stood in line and ASD "volunteers" were putting paperwork in baskets that resembled plastic laundry baskets at the May 31, 2008, ASD "rally" in Las Vegas. That was the rally at which Andy Bowdoin described himself as a Christian "money magnet" and implored the troops to have an "attitude of gratitude" with God.

ASD was running a matching-bonus "program" at the rally, of course. And Bowdoin told the troops to make sure they plunked down unlimited sums before Monday -- because on Monday ASD would enforce a "cap" of $50,000.

He speculated that the cap would keep the SEC away. And he later reduced it to $12,500 without special permission.

After the Vegas rally, Andy plunked down $800,000 cash to buy a building in Quincy.

Another interesting thing from The Dispatch article is the comment from the Davidson County Economic Development Commission, which is excited about the potential for jobs and growth.

Those comments largely echoed the comments of the Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce, when Quincy's Bowdoin pulled the wool over its eyes. The Gadsden Chamber later contacted the FBI when it couldn't make sense of things.

Under one of Troy's theories, it seems there is no way for a reporter to ask a question and not be out of compliance. And if reporters do ask such questions, they can expect a visit from a "regulator." It also seems to follow under the theory that any reporter who asks Zeek a tough question is a shill for the Zeek-haters.

  Let's not panic...they might just need more time to plan and get themselves together for the zeebates roll out and to get all the issues fixed. They have said the past that planning for these red carpet events take alot of their time...so maybe they decided to put that time into fixing all the issues...and we all know there are plenty of those to fix. Sooooooo, while it's a hard thing to do....let's all try our best to dig deep and stay positive and calm.

  I'm sure we'll all be told this is just "growing pains" because no company on the face of the Earth has seen the unprecedented growth that Zeekler has seen so they just can't expect to keep up.
  
  In the several Zeekler presentations I have attended and the one I personally gave, there was specific emphasis placed on the stability of Rex Venture Group and how the IT team had been together for over 11 years. I just don't see how such an "experienced" IT team can't handle or hire the appropriate personnel to get this tilting ship upright.
  
  Very, very, very unprofessional to cancel such an anticipated event six days before it is supposed to be held.

Zeek closes headquarters

Rex Venture Group, which operates the online penny auction site Zeekler.com and affiliates program Zeek Rewards, has closed its headquarters for the remainder of the week for undisclosed reasons.

The company, known to most as Zeek, posted three signs on the windows of its headquarters at 803 West Center St. in Lexington by about 4 p.m. on Thursday that stated the office will be closed, telling visitors to "check the website for more information." As of 6:22 p.m., there was no further information available on Zeekler.com or zeekrewards.com. The company also announced it is cancelling its upcoming "Red Carpet" event, scheduled for Wednesday. The announcement, made on zeekrewardsnews.com, also advised readers to continue to monitor its websites for more information to be forthcoming.

One man, who said he was speaking on behalf of Zeek but wished to remain anonymous, said the building was being closed so Zeek could answer inquiries from the Attorney General, made in the form of a Civil Investigative Demand (CID). According to N.C. General Statutes, a CID is an administrative subpoena that can be issued by the Attorney General whenever there is reason to believe a person, or entity, has information that is relevant to an ongoing investigation.

True story, a Zeek Affiliate was banned from the support forum and "reported to the compliance department" when he reported the office closing a few hours ago. Negative rumors was the charge. I'd post quotes but that topic disappeared into the vapors of openness and transparency.

Can't obtain payment now through any of the ewallet solutions




I get a server error when trying to click on "cash available" or "request a check" 404 - File or directory not found. Same when trying to get a commission payment. Not looking good here. Any suggestions or information forthcoming?

I wonder if there's any significance to the fact that all modalities for taking money out of the system happened BEFORE the website went dark.


(Late Edit to avoid a double post) Folks as long as the main ZR website is offline do not log out of the support forum (clear the cookie) or you will not be able to get back in. The support forum is on a different server but it needs to "shake hands" with the main ZR site to authenticate you. As long as ZR's site is down that can't happen so do not log out and do not clear cookies.

Troy's site has been swamped, havn't been able to get in all night. But there is an update on his YouTube channel:



I for one think he's being insanely optimistic but I've felt he's been doing that on every ZR update after his first one. But with all the official ZR sites more or less offline I'm happy to pass on any info I find, even if I don't agree with it.

This is too hilarious. Now it is my pathetic mathematical skills and the RS crew that has caused the events with Zeek to happen today according to Global Mod mmgcjm. Here's what he had to say, and I quote:

Zeek is under investigation by the Attorney General of NC because people called the AG's offices, posing questions about "investing" in zeek. For those that have taken the compliance test, it was made very clear that most problems are caused by affiliates mis-representing an opportunity by using terminology that is incorrect and most companies are brought down by a few affiliates....

This is a perfect example of how much damage can be done by a few people...

Son of a whatever, but ibjulieb was my sponsor in ZR. So she's using second generation compliance speak. "If only no one ever admitted this was an illegal program then the AG wouldn't have figured it out." Troy, I kinda blame you for this. The mechanics of a comp plan are what they are, if they are legal then people can say stupid things about them making the comp plan a target of investigation but if the plan it's self is legal, it ends there.

But to pretend that the only way for the AG to discover a comp plan is illegal is if the affiliates admit it is asinine. It didn't work for Ad Surf Daily, it isn't working for Zeek Rewards and it wont work for Bidify. Sorry.

Here's what we know:

All employees at the Zeek office have been terminated.

The Zeek website is down.

It looks like the investigation has escalated to the next level. If you pitched Zeek as an investment to your downline, you should've known better. If you've got money locked up in Zeek, good luck getting it out. There's probably not going to be any movement in or out of the those accounts without a court order. I wish I had better news...

What is it with less than legal MLM's blaming their affiliates for being less than legal? I mean yeah, they are promoting and participating in a less than legal MLM but you bastards are the ones running (or consulting for) that same less than legal MLM program.

Remember, just like MamaDropper always told me, when you point your finger at someone, you have three fingers pointing back at yourself.
