Interesting, since according to this Troy Dooley video, he was hired by Bidify back in March, 2012.

I'm not clear on who Todd Disner is. While I can totally understand the outrage and not wanting to feel helpless two words come to mind regarding his putting together a crack team of attorneys, GOOD LUCK! Been there, done that, (and bought the t-shirt). I wasted $85K more of my (MY) money along with others who did similarly. One of the chief faults with that plan was that I forgot that when an attorney passes the bar he becomes an "officer of the court". Duh, who does he work for? And who's interest's must he put first? What is lamentable (among many things) is that very very few of those who signed on as affiliates intended anything other than passive income. Not realizing that successful people in any monetary endeavor in life are entrepreneurs. A very good definition of entrepreneur is risk taker. Risk is not a scary word. The idea is to determine if and how the risk is manageable. For those who participated in the Zeek "experience" that truly are entrepreneurs, they have moved on already. Like any other death, the death of Zeekler needs to be mourned. But, then less we become just bitter souls, we move on. I know I am moving on.

Really? Why would someone mourn the loss of something that was destined to hurt so many more people? Or maybe you meant that people should grieve the fact that they got scammed and possibly hurt other people and then move on? That makes sense if that's what you meant.

When the Feds shut down ASD Todd partnered with Dwight Schweitzer, a former attorney to sue the Government. They were scurrying around trying to get people to donate to their legal fund.

Todd Disner had over 1.5 million VIP points from what I know a few months ago. His final points total could have been higher. He is one of the "top 12 affiliates making $1M/month". Keep in mind the "200 founders" at the top of the matrix made a lot of money each month as well. When you have tens of thousands to hundred thousand affiliates under you and you are earning matrix commissions on them, that adds up.

Zeek victims need to be very, very careful what they do WRT cheques and deposits.

Len, the reason we warn people about a scam before the dust settles is because that's the only time you can help them. I'm sure you have the gratitude of all the people who didn't invest their money in Zeek Rewards based on your considered expert opinion.

Poor Lenny. That was one convoluted answer he gave. Apparently, he meant to say this one looks questionable. Lucky for our readers, some of us here are less flowery and verbose. How about those very informative one word answers I come up with like:

Just a quick note, I was posting links to his videos on YouTube when he was having site issues and his blog was frequently unavailable. These seem to have mostly been resolved (save for some issues with the comment system) but in a way, Troy and I are in the same buisness, that being trying to make a website grow. Now our content and our perspectives aren't the same but I respect that he shares the same commitment to free speech as we do here. You want to cuss me out, do it. Troy has earned some of the brickbats swinging at him and he's standing still for them. I make mention of this to explain that from now on, as long as his site isn't experiencing any technical difficulties, if I feel the need to comment on one of his posts or videos I'll link to his blog post on the topic and not the video only.

As to his latest video, step in the right direction. It's been said that Rome wasn't built in a day, but it burned in one. Troy is starting to shift through the ashes. We can blame him all we want for not smelling the smoke before the fire department showed up but that wont change anything.

I've said it before, while Troy did mention a few tiny little red flags the over all tenor of his ZR coverage was not conveying an impression of concern but rather of optimism and encouragement for the program. I have no doubt that many people invested a whole lot of money in Zeek Rewards because of the impression Troy conveyed. I also believe that this can change him.

Perhaps I'm overly optimistic and acting on a false sense of encouragement but I think this can change him for the better. Do I still find myself slapping my forehead sometimes when i hear him speak, hell yea. But I also hear him say a few things which need to be said to some people who would never listen to us.

One small funny, at about the 4:10 mark Troy said (not a direct quote) "They were terminating distributors for doing things wrong right up till the time the SEC called and told them they needed them to close their doors." Yea, ZR was terminating distributors for being out of compliance right up until the time the SEC called and closed them down for doing things wrong. And what I find funny about that is I'm not really sure if Troy can see why that's funny. Folks, let's try to explain that joke to him.

The attorney responsible for collecting, managing and distributing Zeek Rewards funds says it's too early to predict what money will be returned to affiliates.

Last week, the federal government froze the assets of Rex Venture Group, LLC, the parent company of Zeek Rewards that was headquartered in Lexington, calling it a pyramid and Ponzi scheme on the verge of collapse. Since January 2011, the company and its Chief Executive Officer Paul Burks allegedly raised more than $600 million from nearly one million affiliates throughout the world by making unregistered offers and sales of securities, according to a complaint filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed in federal court in Charlotte on Friday.

In the meantime, a website is being constructed for concerned and affected affiliates. The website, www.zeekrewardsreceivership.com, should be up and running within the next couple of days and will include the SEC's complaint, court orders for the receiver, updates and claim forms.

After reading through Len Clement's LONG missive on Zeek Rewards... I'll give him a B-.

He got most of the facts right, and he's pretty plain spoken. However, his analysis has two MAJOR failings:

1) Relies too much on Zeek's own words, esp. ZeekRewardsNews.com
2) Relies too much on Troy Dooly's words

Without considering the bias on BOTH of the sources.

The NCSECU issue is a bit weird. I know the story changed somewhat, but relying on Caldwell and Dooly for info? Nah.

His NCDOJ section had no particular conclusion.

Len also tried to play the "blame BBB" game, though immediately turned around and explained the trend looks bad for Zeek.

Len also discussed "discontinuation of 5cc" without realizing that the 5cc was simply "outsourced" to Bessoni's ZCustomers, though I could have swore I mentioned it to him once.

Len's explanation on why Zeek's not a Ponzi scheme is flat wrong. Let me explain why by quoting him:

"this part of the ZR business model is ingenious. Start an MLM company called ZeekRewards, collect an army of people who will place literally millions of small advertisements all over the net, and buy literally millions of bids to give away, all designed to attract customersto a penny auction site called Zeekler.com. While the penny auction site is selling items to hundreds of winning bidders and raking in 10 to 40 times their cost for each one, all day long, seven days a week, they can easily afford to plow “up to 50%” of Zeekler’s daily profits into ZeekRewards."

Len here *assumed* that the Penny Auction Side *can* produce the profits to feed the ZeekRewards side. He failed to test the snapshots of auctions, calculate the potential revenue, and so on and so forth. There is NO WAY the auctions can be producing that much revenue for sharing. It's impossible, even if you stretch the numbers.

And of course, the SEC complaint, stating that only 2% of payout did NOT come from affiliates, and only 0.5% of all giveaway bids were redeemed, confirmed that virtually all the "profits" being shared are from the giveaway bids, NOT through the auctions.

In fact, Len later, in the "pyramid scheme" section, wrote "(Zeek) openly describe how the vast majority of bids are, in fact, not being used for bidding".

If they are not used for bidding, then where are the profits coming from? Len? From the affiliates!

Though his pyramid scheme analysis is top-notch.

Seems he just glossed over the Ponzi section, because Dooly told him it's not a Ponzi.

I hate to say this, but Len, you and Dooly are a circular argument, at least on that aspect.

OOPS !!!

Len here *assumed* that the Penny Auction Side *can* produce the profits to feed the ZeekRewards side. He failed to test the snapshots of auctions, calculate the potential revenue, and so on and so forth. There is NO WAY the auctions can be producing that much revenue for sharing. It's impossible, even if you stretch the numbers.

And of course, the SEC complaint, stating that only 2% of payout did NOT come from affiliates, and only 0.5% of all giveaway bids were redeemed, confirmed that virtually all the "profits" being shared are from the giveaway bids, NOT through the auctions.

In fact, Len later, in the "pyramid scheme" section, wrote "(Zeek) openly describe how the vast majority of bids are, in fact, not being used for bidding".

If they are not used for bidding, then where are the profits coming from? Len? From the affiliates!
