    AchieveSucessToday.ca - vague

    Hello All!

Registered to get some opinions on Achieve Success Today, who have little to no information on their site for a work from home job, promising to transform your life and financial independence.

This job listing appeared on jobs.ie which is possibly the most popular job listing site, for regular jobs under €35k in Ireland.

    https://www.jobs.ie/ApplyForJob.aspx?Id=1651743

Multiple red flags from the vagueness of the listing and how it tells you exactly what it is not:

Points to note about this business:

    NOT MLM (Multi Level Marketing)
    No Cold Calling
No Home parties or hassling friends
    No storing of inventory
No spamming – we do not send unsolicited emails
But.... it doesn't say what they actually do, or what they sell, or what they plan to possibly sell.

The active links on the page: achievesuccesstoday.ca include a FB page with the typical generic motivational images and links to private LinkedIn and Twitter pages for a one Breda Pickering.

There's nothing on google showing up and the nearest match was for the Achieve Community, which is how I actually found this site

Had a look through that thread and the name Breda Pickering, doesn't appear once so it might be total coincidence.

The only other thing on the site is SoYouWantSuccess with an 11min video, full of positivity and vagueness for the two founders Shane & Rachael and 'the product', which is never explained.

I'd be interested to see if anyone has heard of this exact company or model and what they're trying to sign people up for.

Thankfully the traditional MLM type models have all but died out in Ireland, with the advent of social media and the ones based off of the DS-Max MLM all had to go legit, with the reputation they earned.

The likes of HerbaLife and detox teas never caught on and there's only a handful of Avon ladies still about.

But I do remember vagueness, constant name and location changes being a very common pattern, along with lots of red-herrings on google to try and prevent people from looking them up.

The domain name is registered with GoDaddy Canada:

    Domain Information

    Domain: achievesuccesstoday.ca

Registrar: Go Daddy Domains Canada, Inc

    Registration Date: 2015-05-01

    Expiration Date: 2019-05-01

    Updated Date: 2017-04-15

    Status: registered

    Name Servers:

    ns1.bluehost.com
    ns2.bluehost.com

To find out if the contact information is open or private a search of Whois Canada would be needed. My bet is on the information being set to private and only a paid service is used for contact information.

Their website is all fluff using stock photo's in their testimonials. You can click on their products and all you get is a lot more fluff with no real substance but plenty of hype. I am sure the products deal with personal development just based on how they word things. Nothing of substance, but the lure of making you want to know more so they can call you to get their hooks in you. Your only contact is either email or calling them. No information about the people behind this company, no bios, and they promise to call you within 48 hours of your inquiry wanting to know more via email. I'm sure if you call them, you will get the pitch immediately, unless you have to leave your number for them to call you back.

When a company does not disclose who they are, who are the leaders, specifically state what their products are, have an address, tell you where they are registered to do business, and if required licensing, stay away. It is a con designed to separate you from your money with nothing to show for it when you finally give up.

It's only going to cost you $997 to find out, with all the money you'll be making that's a drop in the bucket. I watched the YouTube video which was uploaded four years before the website came on line, if that isn't convincing what is? The whole 6 minutes was gushing from folks hand selected from Fiver about how they're losers no more.

The description below makes me think of this woo from way back.

I got the impression that this is her website to recruit people so she could get back her investment and not the parties behind this program.

By the way, remember Kevin Trudeau's Nouveau Tech Society? Well, it's back but now going by the name "The Society." It is a word-for-word copy of Kevin's scam back years ago. Got the letter in the mail yesterday. Sadly there will be a lot of people who fall for this because they weren't around when Kevin did it the first time. Still got a good chuckle out of reading the letter and how I am so special with all these important people, unnamed of course, who have been watching me.

Well, after amassing more than 13 million Euros in Microsoft Stock, I hope she's not hurting for money.

It looks like working for MS drove her over the edge in the end.. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/dama...soft-1.1287908

Hard to tell with the typical vagueness of scam promoters, but it looks like it might be promoting another version of Liberty League/Polaris Global.

    Re: AchieveSucessToday.ca - vague

This thread was brought to my attention by a client of mine.

I am a little confused by the content contained in this thread.

I responed, in August 2017 to an advertisement, followed through the process and I took about a week or so to decide was this the Bussiness Opportunity for me or not? There was NO pushy sell. I decided YES a few months ago (September 2017) and I can inform readers of this thread that this BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY is not a scam. Far from it, in fact, Achieve Success Today through Ms. Pickering has provided me FREE OF CHARGE with hours of online training with on-line advertising placements, which work.

I can only assume working in the on-line Personal Development industry, with the opportunity to travel to Sales Conferences around the globe does NOT appeal to the people who have posted negatively in this thread. Actaul facts are vague and unqualified. The business opportnity is real, the business is NOT a scam and the mentoring and on-going sales support valuable.

Yes, its hard work. There are no FREE lunches. But the financial rewards are there, they are real and the process sells itself.

I am at a loss as to how and why people who have posted on this thread have the opinions they have. Did any of them actually go through the process because my experience was excellent, entirely the opposite. The idea of vagueness with the ad is to promote curiosity and make you think. The process is NOT pushy, the entry level cost to start what is in effect a turn key business is low.

If you want a business with zero start up costs. You want a job, NOT A BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY advert.

If you are afraid of hard work then you will be negative to most things in life. I am NOT afraid of hard work, maybe people who have posted on this thread are.

    What a sad world.

    Welcome to RS.

Vague ads are more often used to capture contact info to be followed up on and/or sold off.

If you read the OP, they were inquiring because it was posted on https://www.jobs.ie which is a job listing site.

So you guys are deceptive right out of the gate, which is why this thread got started.

Do you care to list the products/services you guys are peddling and their costs.... or do we have to provide personal contact info to find out that highly classified material?

Which would be the first problem. Why would a "client" of yours care about an ad unless your "business" is pushing said ad as an affilate? I'm partial to the 70% rule myself, but only if an "opportunity" is tangible product based. Motivational woo needs to approach 100% of people not in the the opp. Without proof of actual retail sales to non-affiliates I'm going with illegal pyramid.

What business opportunity, the opportunity to sell others on the opportunity? This open minded gal will give people my blessing, do the free stuff. Then explore how much of that you could have found on the internet for well let's call it free.

Not in the least, I spent years traveling for business. After a while it sucks ass, and that was staying in great hotels and eating fine meals. If I had to pitch garbage to down and out suckers in 2 star hotel conference rooms and eat out of vending machines I would have hung myself long ago.

So you keep saying while remaining vague and without qualification of your premise.

I've formed my opinions based on years of exploring bullshit opportunities as a hobby. Your continued vagueness confirms my suspicion in spades. First impressions and all that.

Most people would be better off with a job, period. Many business owners if they make it earn about what a they would earn at a job, only they work longer hours. Then you have to factor in the stress that comes from running your own deal.

Frankly most people I find that criticize jobs are nothing more than woo peddlers preying on the disenfranchised. IMVHO most these folks would be better off getting a second JOB until they are out of the hole rather than waste precious time and money on unsubstantiated nonsense.

Actually, if you are afraid of hard work you will probably pay for nonsense like this routinely. Doxing negativity and mystical thinking supposed to cure everything is a tool of the snake oil peddler. Hardly a serious reason to plunk down cash.

It is sad that rather than adding value to people's lives so many grifters chose to lighten the wallets of those that can least afford it.

What is the point of these comments below?

They are only opinions. Opinions are just that ... opinions; they are NOT facts.

How can these opinions be on a SCAM website when there is zero evidence of a SCAM. Quite bizarre.

Oh I get it now... its because the advertisement is VAGUE.

Anyone reading your withering comments can see you are no less vague than the come on ad that got this thread started. Maybe think a little harder and stay away until you can provide facts why AchieveSucessToday.ca isn't what we say.

Really, opinions count for nothing? I guess next your going to say experience doesn't count for anything? My opinion is if I jump from a 50 story building it will lead to my death. This is based on reading about the experiences of others that did similar.
According to your illogical nonsense only my jumping would make my opinion a fact.

In the case of AchieveSucessToday.ca we would have to lose money then we would be qualified to call it a scam? Following your illogical tripe a little further, it would be better for people to listen to the "fact" someone fell for a scam than the opinion of people deft enough to avoid it altogether.

In addition, companies that make earnings representations must give consumers the written basis for their claims, including the number and percentage of owners who have done at least as well as claimed.

Pretty much what I was saying in my first reply.

Dublin18 doesn't even bother to address anything in a straightforward or honest manor.

What's the name of the real business(es) behind the generic lead capture site? In other words, what are people being recruited in to?

Why is a business opportunity site being promoted on a job listing site? After all, that's what created the original poster's confusion.

In a nutshell, about the only thing we've heard from Dublin18 is pretty much the same thing we hear from so many other scam supporters.

I joined. I made some money. Therefore it isn't a scam.

    What a sad world.

Where did Dublin18 go? I thought he was going to come back and "prove" to us how we all got this wrong and his facts would destroy our "opinions." Reminds me of Steveshaw who came to RS and called us all kinds of really cool names and then when challenged to put facts behind and prove us wrong, he disappeared into the night and hasn't returned either. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

He did manage to add about 2500 views to the thread if memory serves, maybe we should send him a referral check?
