Another one bites the dust...Nu Skin caught another "victim"

Seems some of us don't learn too well. I recently allowed myself to be seduced by the claims of amazing income and "proven" anti-aging devices and products by that questionable company...Nu Skin. Mea culpa, I did not dig long enough or hard enough, let myself be guided and cajoled into thinking all the promises could come true. The products are extremely costly, the comp plan is so convoluted as to be confusing to the max. I was assured by my charming recruiter that I would understand it once I started working it. I'm out several thousand dollars and still don't understand it other than there are too many hoops to jump through, mandatory puchasing required and big minimums to satisfy to be eligible to receive a commission. The money back guarantee that is touted to con you into thinking if it doesn't work you can actually get you money back???? Ha, ha, ha!!! That, too, has a lot of hoop jumping involved and processes and proceedures you wouldn't necessarily know you had to abide by to qualify for a refund should you opt for one. Money back on unused products??? Well, only if you used or sold 80% of the products on the previous order...in other words...you aren't getting any money back. The weight management program? Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't, but fact is...if anyone would change their diet from the way they have been eating, start exercising 20 minutes a day, reduce caloric intake, they would lose weight...no fancy pills, shakes or BS required. Those things are all recommended to accompany the program and....if you don't do them and at the end of your 90 day program you you decide to ask for your money back and can't prove you did what you were supposed to do...guess what...no refund for you. Typical of any cultish MLM group...the big rallies are lots of hype and fevered attempts at promoting enthusiasm and company loyalty. You are expected to use as many products as possible and are made to feel "guilty" if you don't...in a humorous sort of way, but the guilt trip is there. I wish I had found the information I recently have found about the hypocritical behavior of some of the founders. While their moral decrepitude is not necessarily synonmous with a lousy company or bogus products, I would not have joined a company that had people in it's higher echelons that behave in such ways that even if it IS/WAS gossip, could even provoke such accusations. I wish I could protect anyone else from becoming ensnared by the false hopes fanned and fostered by the company and it's rabid recruiters. I wish I had protected myself!
