IT'S time to batten down the hatches one more time and prepare for yet another Doomsday.

Next week, in fact according to the pastor who previously incorrectly predicted the world would end May 21.

This time 90-year-old Harold Camping has set the positively final date for October 21 and says it won't be pretty.

"The whole world, with the exception of those who are presently saved (the elect) are under the judgment of God and will be annihilated together with the whole physical world on October 21, 2011," he says on his website, FamilyRadio.com (http://www.familyradio.com/)

Camping, who suffered a mild stroke last June shortly after his May Doomsday prediction failed to materialise, previously claimed the world would end in 1994.

His explanation for the faulty spring deadline, according to the website, is that God's salvation program ended that day and for the next five months everyone was under final judgment.

Harold Camping revises prediction that world will end
Now tells us to expect "very, very quiet" apocalypse... probably

IT'S the end of the world as we know it - according to Harold Camping.

Or maybe not. It could "probably" be the end of the world. And even then, it'll happen "very, very quietly".

Er, sort of.

Remember when Camping - a US radio evangelist - told us the world would end on May 21? And then nothing happened?

Well, his revised date is October 21 - which is today. Or tomorrow in the US.

And with judgment day bearing down on us, Camping revised his prediction in a very non-committal portrayal (http://www.npr.org/2011/10/18/141427151/doomsday-redux-prophet-says-world-will-end-friday) of how things will go down.

"The end is going to come very, very quietly probably within the next month, by October 21st," he said earlier this month.

"Probably there will be no pain suffered by anyone because of their rebellion against God. We can become more and more sure that they'll quietly die and that will be the end of their story."

Taiwan's Next Media Animation team has given us a look at what to expect - in their own unique way.

The bible says no man would know when the end will come. So when these men (man) predict, then I know the day they predicted is not the day. The few days I can really enjoy life and not worry that the sky is falling giggle.

Perhaps it would serve us all well to ask those who reside in California, who are involved in less than 'legal' online activities, if they feel their/the world may come to a crashing halt. :RpS_unsure:
