Yep,

the "usual suspect" pimps are moving on already.

Enter ThatFreeThing (http://thatfreething.com/MyFreeThing [/COLOR] (http://www.myfreething.com/index2.php) currently being pimped by our ol' friend [I]Manolo aka Strosdegoz aka Dirson E Jimenez on his favourite place for finding new victi.....err......investors Talkgold (http://www.talkgold.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4272596&postcount=4)

There you have it, folks, for only $25 down and a measly $10 a month, you too can contribute to the who-knows-who retirement fund, help destroy the economy of "insert relevant country name here" and help Manolo upgrade the standard of his singlets.

So, when "ThatFreeThing" and Manolo make you rich and famous, remember you heard it here first.

I have watched this conversation,
and asked TFT about this.

He is not even close to being the "admin" of TFT, lol.
He is not corporate in the slightest in fact!

He was hired to assist members who do
not have an active upline to help with marketing,
and is working with many members.

TFT Update - Monday March 28th
Hey David,

TFT is exploding worldwide right now...

We are now in 108 Countries and we continue to
expand into more and more markets daily. We are just
about to reach 1,000 members in the UK and once we
hit this milestone you will see A LOT of UK specific
stuff going live. (Including a special bonus for the TFT
member who enrolls the 1,000th UK member).

This milestone should happen within the next 3-5 days.

We are also expanding our corporate team. This past
week we have hired 2 new customer service reps
along with our new Executive Director of Marketing,
Justin Jones.

What may be very telling about all this is that nobody has denied that this is "Broker" Jones. But then shills and pimps don't care anyway...!

When you think about it, Broker Jones joining ThatFreeThing will probably turn out to be a good thing.

Good for those who can't wait to see the scam self implode and fold up, that is.

Talk about the management of TFT shooting themselves in the foot.

It will take more than an appointment such as this for Jones to shake off his well deserved notoriety anytime in the foreseeable future

Hi Baylee,
yes, I see your repost.
I just asked the master distr.,
and this is the response:

"He is not an owner at all,
he is an employee,
on salary.

He works for TFT.
Just like the rest of the staff,
support team, etc.

He's more like customer service,
just helping people build a business."

Broker has joined the rest of us with a Just Over Broke and is demeaning himself to the point of accepting a salary. Oh, the humanity and absolute humiliation! I am sure his stunning salary will not begin to cover the tens of thousands he owes to Oceanside's investors. He better hope he has that free legal representation (from family) he bragged about!

HeHeHe,

one day they're gonna realize that all they're doing by protecting obvious HYIP pimps is removing any doubt in the minds of newbies about whether particular programs are genuine or not.

Even the most new of newbies can very quickly work out: "protected poster = shill" and "usual suspect shill = HYIP ponzi game"

In the longer term, what both MMG and Talkgold are doing will at least remove any doubt in anyones' mind as to whether or not any future programs are legitimate.

When all they have left are players and shills, it's gonna be very hard to convince anyone that the "next big thing" is any different than the squillion other HYIPs they've promoted.

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc153/thelittleroundman/seth-fraser.jpg

Back in 2007, Seth Fraser (photo above) launched the company Freebie Force.

The concept of Freebie Force was simple, pay a monthly fee, get access to free stuff and receive a commission for each new person you recruited to the business.
Three years later there wasn’t anyone left to sign up to Freebie Force and the company failed. In a desperate attempt to save what business he had left, Fraser went on to sell the Freebie Force memberlist (with the usual membership fee waivered, Freebie Force members were given no choice), to LiveSmart 360 (http://behindmlm.com/category/companies/livesmart-360).

Update 22nd June 2011 – I’ve noticed that either Mark McCool or Seth Fraser have removed the original videos that were available at the time of publication of this article.
As such I’ve removed the Youtube links that were included when I first published this article. Basically all you’re missing are two embrassing exchanges between Seth Fraser and Mark McCool. Considering they were pretty bad, I guess I can understand why they removed them from the internet. /end update.

In the video Fraser mentions that FreebieForce has a memberlist of 117,000 members, but that number is misleading. In this next video he states that the memberlist number includes those that either signed up to Freebie Force, or simply entered their email address to take a free tour.

The ratio of non-actual members to real members is obviously unknown. Regardless, to gauge the success rate of the Freebie Force / LiveSmart 360 merger, at the time of publication the first video has a viewcount of 301 and the second just 241.

Keep in mind that these videos were no doubt circulated to the entire email list of 117,000 Freebie Force ‘members’ as they appear to be videos Fraser would’ve used on a capture page.

Regardless, seven months later the Freebie Force and LiveSmart 360 partnership seems to have ultimately failed (the second MLM failure for Seth Fraser), and he’s attempting to relaunch the freebie MLM business model with his new company, That Free Thing.
From what I can gather, the initial membership structure of Freebie Force was slightly complex, but then over time became quite simplified. The last known compensation plan I was able to see detailed a basic 5 by 7 matrix paying a commission of $1 a month per member you directly recruit.

Given that a 5 by 7 matrix holds 97,655 positions, the idea is that if you recruited 97,655 people to Freebie Force, you’d be making $97,655 a month in membership commissions.

Obviously with a requirement for a constant influx of new members and no product to sell, Freebie Force ultimately failed. Today I’m going to compare it to That Free Thing.

With the same founder, same freebie business concept and a similar compensation plan, are we looking at That Free Thing also collapsing in a few years or will Seth Fraser avoid the mistakes he made with Freebie Force this time round?

At the heart of similarities between Freebie Force and That Free Thing is the concept of giving away freebies. Members sign up and in exchange are bombarded with freebies (often available from similar websites that do not charge a monthly membership fee).

So why pay a membership fee for freebies? That Free Thing and Freebie Force introduced a MLM business plan to the freebie niche.

Unfortunately with Freebie Force however there was no product and ultimately members were simply recruiting others to gain a commission.
Unfortunately this fundamental flaw in Freebie Force’s compensation plan exists in That Free Thing.

That Free Thing undoubtedly has a slightly more complex payout structure , with its direct percentage payouts and check match bonuses, but at the end of the day it’s hard to escape the fact that the commissions paid out are still solely connected to the amount of people you bring into That Free Thing.

One key difference being heavily sold between That Free Thing and Freebie Force is the inclusion of a video marketing system. When signing up to That Free Thing, members are given access to ‘marketing tools and software’ as well as a ‘TFT branded video email marketing system‘ that can be used to ‘promote any business‘.

Ignoring the elephant in the room of why you’d have to promote other businesses if you were trying to make it in That Free Thing, no matter how good any of these services are, you need to ask yourself what you’re going to be doing with them.

The answer is that you’ll be using them to market That Free Thing.

Is there a product to market? No. So what are you going to be marketing?
Membership.

Yes, the even with a video marketing system the fundamental business flaw that existed in Freebie Force is still there in That Free Thing. And ultimately, if we use Freebie Force as a case study, this indicates that That Free Thing is also going to fail.

In trying to combine the freebie concept with MLM, Seth Fraser has attempted something different and he definitely deserves some recognition for that.

Unfortunately though until someone manages to create a tangible product (that isn’t just a marketing system to sell memberships) within the freebie niche, at the end of the day all we’re doing is selling memberships. And like any other MLM opportunity that relies solely on memberships to create a business model, due to the nature of a finite number of potential signups out there, sooner or later the matrices powering That Free Thing will come to a standstill.

When that happens money stops coming into the company (starting with the people at the bottom of the matrices leaving and this chain reaction working its way up) and the company collapses internally.

We saw recruitment exhaustion happen with Freebie Force and unless Seth Fraser drastically changes That Free Thing’s business model between now and the official launch date (That Free Thing is currently in pre-launch), it’s going to happen again with That Free Thing.

Blog Network Review: That Free Thing trys blogs…
Apr.11, 2012 in That Free Thing (http://behindmlm.com/category/companies/that-free-thing/)

http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc153/thelittleroundman/thatfreethinglogo.jpg
Initially launching on the premise of giving free
stuff offers away and charging a monthly membership
fee, That Free Thing quickly learnt
that once you ran out of new members to recruit,
people start to leave in droves.

As such, four months after launching That Free Thing lost 25% of their members (http://behindmlm.com/companies/that-free-thing/that-free-thing-loses-25-of-members-in-4-months/)… which I suppose in hindsight wasn’t really all that surprising when you consider that the company launched worldwide, despite failing to provide any free offers in the majority of countries it was operating in.

With members in these countries only paying the monthly membership fee for the privilege of recruiting others and earning commissions… sooner or later that was going to fall apart – and it did.

Seeking alternative revenue sources, That Free Thing then launched a vendor network (http://behindmlm.com/companies/that-free-thing/that-free-thing-tackles-coupons-with-vendor-network/) in October 2011. The vendor network doesn’t appear to have turned into the cash cow That Free Thing hoped it would, with the company recently announcing it is branching out into blogs and getting their members to write for them.

Unfortunately whereas the vendor network was a departure from the membership driven commissions That Free Thing initially offered, the Blog Network appears to be a return to the recruitment based commission structure roots the company launched with.

Read on for a full review of the Blogging Network MLM opportunity.

The Blog Network Product Line

The Blog Network’s primary product offering is web hosting off the domain ‘blognetwork.com’. For a monthly membership fee, That Free Thing will set up a sub-domain off the Blog Network domain, where members can write content for their own hosted blogs.

Basically, the idea is that under the That Free Thing umbrella, Blog Network will become a content farm with the hopes of generating enough content to rank in the search engines and provide value to their members.

It’s no secret that tackling the internet on your own can be challenging, so by collaborating with other Blog Network members, That Free Thing hope to entice marketers to put in a joint-effort in getting their content ranked.

Powered by WordPress, each Blog Network site will display a small capture area serving as a sales funnel to attract new members to Blog Network. Thus each hosted blog acts as a capture page for the Blog Network member who owns it.

The Blog Network Compensation Plan

Just as That Free Thing’s compensation plan had nothing to do with the use of the offers they provided their members, so too does the Blog Network compensation plan have nothing to do with the actual use of the product.

Matrix Commissions
Blog Network utilise a 2×14 matrix which starts with you at the top and then branches down into two legs underneath you. Two legs then branch out from these two legs and so on and so forth down with the first few levels of a 2×14 matrix looking something like this:

http://behindmlm.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/binary-MLM-compensation-plan.jpg

With a total of 32,766 member positions to fill, Blog Network pays you out a monthly commission based on how many members you have in your matrix.

Members can be recruited by yourself, or via your up and downlines. How much of a commissions Blog Network pays out is dependent on which level they fall within your matrix:

Levels 1 to 2 – 20c per member
Levels 3 to 5 – 40c per member
Level 6 – $1 per member
Levels 7 to 12 – 60c per member
Level 13 – 80c per member
Level 14 – $1 per member

Note that these commissions dollar amounts are slightly off due to the monthly membership fee not being a round dollar figure. That said we’re talking fractions of a cent per member so for illustrative purposes to give you an idea they are close enough.

Matching Bonus
Blog Network’s Matching Bonus pays out down 5 levels and carries with it additional recruitment requirements.

One level is defined as a recruitment generation in that members you personally recruit are your level 1, members they recruit are your level 2 and so on and so forth.

Level 1 – 30% matching bonus, must have recruited at least 5 new members to qualify
Level 2 – 25% matching bonus, must have recruited at least 10 new members to qualify
Level 3 – 20% matching bonus, must have recruited at least 10 new members to qualify
Level 4 – 15% matching bonus, must have recruited at least 15 new members to qualify
Level 5 – 10% matching bonus, must have recruited at least 20 new members to qualify

Joining Blog Network
Membership to Blog Network is $19.95 a month.

Conclusion

As far as blog networks go, it’s been well documented over the past year or so that low-quality content farms have taken a hit. With members able to write about anything, no doubt it won’t be long before the domain ‘blognetwork.com’ is seen as just another low-quality content farm on the internet.

Trading on the age of the domain name, it’s important to note that whilst an aged domain name can help, these days individual pages are ranked rather than whole domains.

If you create a new blog on the domain blognetwork.com, with no clear-cut niche you’re going to get minimal advantage from the domain name itself. If your content isn’t relevant or useful, people still aren’t going to read it, regardless of where you host it.

That pretty much blows the major selling point of Blog Network out of the water. I guess if you were new to all this and had no idea, the prospect of setting up a hosted blog might appeal to you and you could learn something from the training materials Blog Network provides, however free blog hosting is readily available – and so is online-based blog marketing information and training.

Compensation plan wise, Blog Network is a straight up recruitment driven plan. You get members to pay a monthly membership fee and you get paid. Your up and downlines can recruit and you will benefit from having these members in your matrix, but at the end of the day they still count as recruits. If people aren’t recruited you don’t get paid.

Thus with membership being marketed rather than any actual product, Blog Network looks strongly like a pyramid scheme attached to a blog network.

The company does tout the possibility to earn commissions of affiliate offers and advertising on the blogs hosted with them, but this isn’t via the company itself, it’s via third-party vendors and affiliates.

Company wise, 100% of the commissions paid out by Blog Network are derived from membership fees and ultimately it is membership that members of Blog Network are going to be marketing.

Membership alone isn’t a viable product, which creates some serious questions about the legality and long-term viability of Blog Network and to a larger extent That Free Thing.

Mind you, this recruitment dependency has been an ongoing concern since That Free Thing launched in April 2011 (http://behindmlm.com/companies/that-free-thing-review-free-stuff-as-a-product-line/). Since then we’ve seen the company flounder with the launch of a few alternative revenue streams… but to date none of have proven well and truly effective.

Given the compensation plan backing Blog Network, I imagine this particular venture is going to be no different, with That Free Thing still failing to provide a sustainable business model that is viable in the long-term for its members.
