The only imperfect thing about Hawaii and the islands........is the reverence for this nasty mystery "meat".

Sheep organs stuffed in a sheep's stomach. Enough said!

#3 Fruit Cake

The only good use for any fruitcake is to throw it away. Far, far away.

I have to wonder who would eat the sheep guts stuffed in a sheep stomach. I don't think the stoners in northern California with a bad case of the munchies would touch that.

Yuck, that looks like something I was cleaning from underneath the accelerator pedal in my truck.

That stuff is known here as "Brawn"

Believe me, it gains nothing in the translation.

But,

that means you have to touch it.

While a modern hamburger is not particularly appetizing (nor good for you), and the organ meat that littleroundman gave us a picture of looked nice and fresh (delectable, even) to my eyes, I would hardly call either of them disgusting.

Have you ever tried seagull wine? Hakarl made the traditional way in Iceland? Casu marzu cheese? Velveeta 'cheese'? Pigeon's milk? Colocynth melons?

For the first few years of my childhood, doctors thought I had coelaic disease, a condition about which they knew very little.

The only food they "knew" coelaics could eat were Kraft original processed and Velveeta.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

On another note, I'm a confirmed coffee tragic, so I just HAD to try Indonesian Kopi Luwak and Indian Parchment coffee in varied brewing methods. The idea is worse than the reality, though.

Hey, what about Rocky Mountain Oysters? And, without anyone looking it up on Google, tell me what it is...no cheating! And, no, I have not and will not EVER try them...:pt:

Testicles, usually goat I believe, although I've seen recipes for bull as well. And bull pizzle, in the grocery freezer, although not the caprine version of the organ.

I'm not scared....I'll try anything once.

Raised on brains and eggs, cows tongue, and rocky mountain oysters.

Good eats, if they're cooked right.

I mostly like fruits and vegetables dishes and make something new at every weekend.
Last Sunday I made mixed vegetables fried rice using a new vegetables fried rice recipe.
It had a unique taste than the previous, I enjoyed it a lot.

I'll give ya a hint...it's the barrel for which the oysters are the ammunition...!(Actually the oysters are the magazine that hold the ammunition)

Disgusting food eh? It's all cultural, folks.

Chinese dim sum has this small dish called... uh... "mixed beef" or 牛雜 but it's really beef viscera stew.

Then there's the Chinese "century egg" (Century egg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_egg)) which people have complained smell of sulfur and ammonia

Actually, I have had "mountain oysters". When they are cooked properly and you don't see them beforehand, you can imagine fried oysters with ketchup. Now back in the old days in lower bama, my Daddy liked 'possum. Mama refused to cook it so we had to be invited to his friend's house to enjoy. It was cooked 'properly' and served with sweet potatoes but talk about greasy...!! Now Mama did cook the Chitterlings for Daddy but it was pronounced 'chitlins'. OMG!!! The odor was enough to make you gag and no I did not eat those things. I also refuse to eat Sushi. I like my fish cooked, thank you!

Well you are posting things that sound pretty good unlike the disgusting foods most have posted here, so it might be why no comments.

Sorry but I like Big Macs and also Sonic Burgers - at least what we get in the States.
