A con man currently calling himself "The Financial Motivator" has been hitting the southeastern United States
with a get rich quick scheme recently. A bit of research into his past shows that he and his family have been
doing this kind of fraud for years. His initials appear to be S. M., with the M most likely standing for Meier.
Besides the telltale phone number, his most common spoor is the "invitation code" SM973.
Before I go further, let me remind readers why the claim of 'cash donations from interested persons' is
fraudulent.

Washington law declares the following practices illegal under the Anti-pyramid Promotional Schemes Act:
(1) No person may establish, promote, operate, or participate in any pyramid scheme.
(2) A limitation as to the number of persons who may participate, or the presence of additional conditions affecting
eligibility for the opportunity to receive compensation under the scheme, does not change the identity of the scheme as a
pyramid scheme.
(3) It is not a defense under chapter 65, Laws of 2006 that a person, on giving consideration, obtains goods, services, or
intangible property in addition to the right to receive compensation, nor is it a defense to designate the consideration a
gift, donation offering, or other word of similar meaning.
The scammer's newsletter gives this nonsensical "address" to the unsuspecting.

in the 2006 & 2007 issues of Yachting magazine and Motor Boating magazine. They merely told people to
