Haven't heard much from the lad in awhile.

But he showed up on the Seeking Alpha forum the other day, all feisty, and looking to debate someone.

He pops up near the end of the Comments section - sorry no Comment # to find it.

So, Matt, you've finally acknowledged Herbalife's response to your previous "smoking gun" article, but in your zeal to expose Herbalife's disproportionately low sales in Canada (those evil bastards!) you forgot to include a defense of their rebuttal.

Was this a survey of only 46 sales leaders which, if so, would have a margin of error so great as to make the results virtually meaningless? And cause it's comparison to the much larger Herbalife survey to be completely inappropriate?

Was this supposedly internal survey that was privately "leaked" only to you actually made public months ago?

I suspect a lot of us would like to you know your response to this. Even a few Canadiens.

len

why not go to actionable research's website, check out the statistical significance calculator for yourself? a sample size of 46 is far more than adequate. only someone who knows zero about statistical analysis/standard deviation etc. and obviously lacks basic math skills necessary to make a relevant point to this discussion would disagree that 46 is more than enough of a sample for the purposes of this survey.

you've been peddling hlf since it was above $80, nest-ce, pas?

at some point, the intelligent thing becomes to say nothing. this war is over.

ft,

"you've been peddling hlf since it was above $80, nest-ce, pas?"

Absolutely not! Len Clements is well a prepared advocate for the MLM industry. If you had done some research you would know Len Clements is not peddling anything. However, he has challenged Matt to live radio debate, but Matt is scared or ill prepared to face him. Why?

Jeffjacobjames

Matt, I'd like to see/hear you debate Len about Herbalife. You could really demonstrate how much you know about MLMs. I hope you'll agree to this very soon!

Hey Matt, why won't you do a live debate with Len? Curious minds want to know.

Len's resume shows his membership in MENSA, and shows his IQ to be 155.
It's like he says, he's really smart.

Why Don't Canadians Drink Formula 1? (http://seekingalpha.com/article/2863346-dear-pamela-jones-harbour-why-dont-canadians-drink-formula-1)

Some funny back and forth going on there!

Looks like he showed up with his amega wand in hand. That'll show 'em!
I'll guess the alleged debate is the same one sided one where clements controls the buttons as usual so he can aooear to win.
Can't believe ole clem didn't throw out the mensa/IQ as well as alleged "certified court expert" horseshit like he usually does to shut that whole thing down. lmao.

Was just back on the site and see the whole conversation I quoted above has been scrubbed.

Seems to happen a lot when Lenny goes off on one of his rants.

Something about Lenny, he seems to bring out the best in people.

Someone must have mentioned one can only claim to be a Mensa member if one actually pays the membership dues. Len apparently was too close to pauperdom to afford them last I checked! Has the MLM supporter extraordinaire, court certified expert and biggest blowhard on the planet since paid???

Good question!

I neglected to ask him, but I'll make a point of doing so next time.

However, I did point out to him, regarding his comment about "Even a few Canadiens", that the "Canadiens" were a hockey team based in Montreal. We people living in Canada are called Canadians. I figured someone as smart as he claims would know that.

Also, powershake claimed "If you had done some research you would know Len Clements is not peddling anything". I pointed out that wasn't true - Lenny been peddling Yoli since May 2009 – Present (5 years 9 months).

Shortly thereafter the thread went south and someone deleted the whole dialogue. :(

On a related note, I see on his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Len-Clements/122305441194381?sk=info&tab=page_info) under Affiliations, he lists the James Randi Educational Foundation. If my memory serves me correctly, didn't he get laughed off that board as well?

JFEF is way too civilized to put up with a Clem Lemons meltdown of apocalyptic proportions. I think is the gentlest terms possible they wished he would take his Mega Wand and shove it where the sun does not shine whilst flying off into the sunset on it.

Gee, where did that happen before? JREF? Salt Lake Tribune? Sequence?

For old times sake...

Len Clements went crazy on the Yahoo discussion board to this earlier this week, posting as mwave43:

Okay you arrogant ass, you’ve broken me! Now I’m pissed. Congratulations!

How dare you even suggest that I don’t answer questions that are asked of me. I JUST SPENT SIX GDF HOURS ON THIS BOARD ANSWERING YOUR PETTY, NIT-PICKY, PETHITIC, EVASIVE, COWARDLY QUESTIONS! Oh, I’m sure there’s your favorite somewhere that I’ve missed today. SO SORRY I DID’T SPENT 7 HOURS!

Show me where I’ve asked one specific question related to Minkow’s report, like, oh the four I started this who useless, time wasting adventure with, that anyone has given a direct answer to. Come on big guy. SHOW ME ONE! ONE!!!

Your side won’t answer anything I ask because they CAN’T answer anything I ask! All you can do is repeat the same original accusations over and over and over and over.

You are all a bunch of cowards who either are directly involved with Minkow, or you make money when Usana stock goes down. You throw out all this high-and-mighty crap about us being evil scumbags who only care about lining our own pockets, all the while you are trying desperately to wreck a company, and the livelihoods of thousands of distributors who feed their families with their Usana income (oh, I forgot, if you become successful in an MLM company you are not proof the anti-MLM zealots are wrong, you simply get reclassified from victim to perpetrator – sorry, forgot how your silly game works). Oh, and the over 800 EMPLOYEES of Usana who’s sole income you’re destroy, what about them? Are they “evil scumbags” too? Or just honest folks trying to earn a living? And what about the tens-of-thousands of other stock Usana investors, thousands of which are just regular folks like us (not institutions or insiders)? Hell, screw them, too. As long as YOU profit from their challenges, screw ‘em all!

You hypocritical, pompous, self-delusional asses are the real scumbags. You’re actions on this board are far more insidious that anyone here trying to defend their living. YOU MAKE MONEY OFF OF OTHER PEOPLE’S PAIN! But the difference between you and us is that we honestly believe we’re not going to hurt someone when we get them to join an MLM (although many hurt themselves by not doing anything to not get hurt! — like work!). But YOU ALL… YOU ABSOLUTELY KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING, IF YOU’RE SUCCESSFUL, IS GOING TO HURT PEOPLE, BADLY! Do you even begin to comprehend the irony and hypocrisy of your accusations that WE do this?

“If things were true the first time, you would not have to edit – ie., spin it some more, in a different fashion, would you? You are once more not being honest.”

I picked this absurd comment only because it is the epitome of how you all defend yourself. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with any actual point, and everything to do with trying to discredit the source of the point. BECAUSE NONE OF YOU CAN DISCREDIT MY ACTUAL POINTS! I dare you, I challenge you, go back to the original four questions I asked in the beginning and give me a direct answer to refute it. Oh wait. I forgot. You can?t. BECAUSE ONE OF YOU COWARDS HAD IT REMOVED!

YouRunYourMouth, my comments about Waitley’s PhD and the AG’s statements (the only things I’ve changed in my report) WERE TRUE THE FIRST TIME I WROTE THEM. The way I “spun it in a different fashion” was to ADD EVIDENCE TO BACK UP MY REBUTTAL TO EACH OF THEM!

Get at least a clue of what the hell you’re talking about before you post!

Now I’ve really got to get out of here before I say something that gets me banned from this board.

Len

Those two ass clowns, Heiney & Doyle, have pretty much ruined that board.

There really hasn't been much excitement there since Lenny Clement's short tenure as forum moderator.

In the short time he held the position, Lenny managed to bring to light the sordid past of forum owner and porn purveyor, George Dranichak.

As a result, Lenny accomplished a first on the internet.

Not only was he turfed as a moderator, but his name was also banned.

When you typed in his name you would just get a bunch of ******'s.

Hey, Lenny is at least *partly* right... To us, "MLM = Evil" is a bit of a tautology, and everything we see is usually filtered through that, just as everything he sees is filter through "MLM = Okay" mindset he already have.

But let's be fair here: what exactly defines "success" in MLM?

Clearly it's not solely "income", or even "NET income". Leaders can't be completely blind to the plight of their downlines. They need to keep the downlines "producing". And often, the "leaders" are just playing by the rules... setup by the company. In a way, C-Lemy is right, leaders are called dummies if they're low and fraudsters if they make it up high. Leaders are not really leaders. They're really Judas Goats if they're realistic, "Judas Goats with Delusions of Lion-hood" if they are delusional. But is it their fault? Or is it basically you can't profit from mud without getting dirty (unless you convince a bunch of minions to do it for you)?

(Which reminds me... Any one read Freakonomics, about how the drug dealing really works? I seem to recall some parallels along the MLM lines... I'll have to dig it up again.)

The Reverend Elton Johnson's Rescue Mission
2205 East Riverside Avenue
Oakland
California

Dear Brother Kerry O'Hein

Perhaps you have heard of me and my nationwide campaign in the cause of temperance. Each year for the past fourteen years I have made a tour of California and Nevada to deliver a series of lectures on the evils of drinking.

On these tours, I have been accompanied by my young friend and assistant, Clyde Lindstrom. Clyde, a young man of good family and excellent background, is a pathetic case, whose life was ruined by whiskey, gambling and women.

Clyde would appear with me at lectures and sit on the platform wheezing, farting and drooling while staring at the audience through bleary, bloodshot eyes, while I would point him out as an example of what drinking could do to a person.

Last summer, unfortunately, Clyde died. A mutual friend has given me your name and I wondered if you would care to take his place. If you are interested in joining me, please write to the address above and I'll contact you.

Yours in faith

Reverend Elton Johnson

But alas, none was to be found. Now you would suppose that a person that was in MENSA and has such a high IQ would know how to spell "Pathetic," but not Len and it is spend not spent Len:

What is Len Clement' claim to fame? All I can gather is that he's some self proclaimed expert on MLM that was on top of the pyramid in some MLMs. When I looked at his profile, his address showed a neat but rather small house in some middle class neighborhood. Not typical of an MLM pharoah. Although I've seen him get snippy on some forums.

From what I can gather, he might have had some moderate success in MLM once upon a time and now he is making his living like a Kiyosaki. Selling useless training and advice to MLMers who will more than likely lose money, regardless of what his advice is. Or, people who succeed with Len's advice, do so in spite of it, not because of it.
