The spammers though are probably using posting bots with templates. I see those spamming Gawker sites every once in a while.

My personal contribution to this genre is a hub I wrote back in 2013... The last part, about scammers pretending to be scambusters seems somewhat relevant.

I think in the case of the testimonials in the original post, it's more likely it's just a page getting copied manually, because it isn't a mass posting, it's usually 10 or so at a time that are really popular to which affiliates are sending traffic.
