Clark Howard recommends this as one of the work at home opportunities. Work From Home guide | www.clarkhoward.com (http://www.clarkhoward.com/news/clark-howard/employment-military/work-home-guide/nFZH/)

Does anyone have any information on this company?

Is there such a thing as a legitimate work at home company using your phone and computer?

Thank you in advance for your time and efforts in research.

Yes. Convergys is believed to be legit as a well as a number of jobs out there that have you work with your computer and or phone. Even Apple does hire from time to time for things like Itunes chat ect. Many companies will still make you pay for a background check, some a credit check and some will make you pay for training. I haven't worked for Convergys or Apple before, but have read up on them on various work at home forums in the past.

I just registered to this site as I didn't see the need to register before as I don't view this site much but maybe a few times a month. Anyways, I registered as the op was inquiring about a company I did work for requesting more info.

I passed all the preliminarly info and whatnot on Convergys however when it came time for the last step before I was to start training, my internet was messing up. Since I don't have any other isp's around my area and after explaining this to them, they said its best I resign until I can get a better internet connection. I was paid for my working time which was 2.3 hours when my internet was being decent. I was hired for the At&T part and was looking forward to working for them. I enjoyed the time I spent there and I may go back one day when I can acquire decent internet service that doesn't drop signal sometimes and have variable speeds when you need it most. Hope this helps.

Hmm I did just find this because someone mentioned a class action about them to me, so of course I had to GOOGLE it!

I'm not sure if they did this or not, because I was not employee d long enough to see by them. On the final check before on boarding/orientation/wtv, my internet was acting up. I can state however that anyone can start a lawsuit, we just have to wait till the outcome has arrived to see the results. As this may be quite some time, you can apply to work for them and see for yourself if this is the case, at least at this time, if they are hiring at the moment.
