It was announced and mainly ignored when freelancer dot com took over the once-popular Warrior Forum. At the time I wondered just what they planned to do with it? Well, with the exception of scamming more people through their IMO unethical system as reported here in RS and all over the internet by people who lost a lot of money to these people. I have received some other email since I am still listed in WF as a member and today I received this one. All of you can remember about the Alistair Low Freelancer Robot that always jumps in to defend his "company".

I am not sure what they are up to over there because I have not visited since I learned of the takeover by freelancer. It was not worth my time. However, it should still be discussed as they continue drawing people into their schemes. Maybe some of you 'in the know' have a clue to what is going on. Would like to hear what you have to say.

Today I received another email from one of the robots of freelancer dot com and it has to do with Amazon????? I have forwarded this to Amazon to see if they are supporting it.

I know, I am not blind, no one thinks this is a big deal but I see it as a con growing bigger and staying under the radar.

Sounds like some sort of a merchant solution to skin over the Amazon store or to hide the links more effectively. Meh.

I am continuing to receive email from Aliaster Low and can't believe that RS members who were with WF all those years are not receiving them also. Thanks kschang for responding here. Freelancer is a big deal in Australia and growing more worldwide each day, it is rather frightening to me.

I just looked and saw I have a ton of emails from WarriorForum, but have only looked at a few of them, including this last one about changing the rules of the WSO section which is kind of interesting, especially these:

"Rule #17: Income Claims & Guarantees

Sellers are not to make claims around income that has been made unless this income can be verified through Warrior Payments. Sellers are not permitted to make claims about or imply that income will result from purchasing a WSO.

This will be strictly enforced to protect the Warrior community.

This is applicable to the WSO Marketplace and all sub-forums."

"Rule #20: No Blind Ads

Sellers must not post blind ads. This is an ad where you advise what the product is not rather than what it is. Your product should be clearly understood by both moderators and members."

From what I recall, Blind Ads were rampant in the WSOs.

Full rules.

I can only say that I have never made any profit, only lost money on wso's. I have purchased many in the past many years ago, and got some free, and spent 8 months about 17 hours a day 7 days a week trying to find any of them that actually work that are not scams. Unfortunately, nothing worked. Maybe there is something legit there, I just couldn't find it.

Seems like "WSO" and "legitimate" are mutually exclusive terms...!

Warrior Forum is not a scam, but a lot of users there do scam people.

With that being said sweeping generalizations are very inappropriate.

Did I miss something? Who said that WF was a scam? Now saying that the entire forum supports and promotes a billion choices of get rich quick schemes, MLMs, pyramids, you name it - might be more appropriate.

Hello!! BTW, I am surprised to see this thread still going.

Contact Patrick Pretty, he used to be a mod over there and knows a lot of the scammers who inhabit the place.

Way, way late to the party!

I was one of the earliest members of WF and processed credit card purchases for owner Allan Says right when it got started. It was almost purely a spam and spam tools forum then. It started evolving after spamming became a big fail with all kinds of crackdowns by ISP's and their backbones to the point that discussion how to spam got banned. That's OK, it just got replaced by a zillion wanna-be's calling themselves guru's selling utter **** and raping newbies. Looks like since the ownership change it's not as bad as it used to be, but it still is a newbie-killer.

HYIP's and other ponzis seem to have really lost the influx of new suckers to join, but still plenty of newbies thinking they can buy some vids from a guru and make thousands in an hour. Same exact mentality of a ponzi but seemingly no end to the pool of suckers coming in.
