Look, the anti-payola system is working really well. No payola going on these days, sir...no sirree, Bob...I know because the FCC is right on top of it! (*sarcasm*). They have more important things to do, like go after wardrobe malfunctions and F-Bombs.

It's essentially the dumbest system in the world in which the consumer has to file a complaint that a financial connection wasn't disclosed, but the only way the consumer would know is if they actually went to the station and reviewed disclosure statements. As far as I know there is no central clearinghouse where the stations have to file their disclosures - they simply have to keep them "on file". Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I *think* that's the way it works.
