Hi Guys and Gals!

I'd really love for Realscam to get involved with Folding@Home as a team to help do something else good for the world.

Just a bit about it from their site:

Our goal is to solve massive computational problems related to protein folding research. The problems require so many calculations, we ask people to donate their unused computer power to help us crunch some of the numbers. Servers at Stanford University deliver individual “work units” to thousands of computers around the world. Each of these work units is a small piece of a massive problem. When a computer finishes a work unit, it sends the results back to Stanford and gets a new work unit. Stanford’s computers then stitch together all the results to solve bigger problems.

Please try and do this, if you have any questions just ask and I'll answer to the best of my ability!

Hi Jason,

Have you any more information about folding protein? This sounds like mathematical biology to me but I could be wrong.

The University of Leeds was and probably still is the leading University for this subject in the UK. My son did his PhD in mathematical biology at Leeds University. He had done an MPhil in the subject at Bowling Green University in the USA and he could have got into one of the best Universities in the USA for his PhD but he had enough sense to know that he would not have a chance to get one of the top jobs as there were too many Americans with equally good or better qualifications. He decide to return and study at Leeds University.

I have no idea what folding protein means but the librarians at these Universities will always help people who are anxious to learn. People who would like to learn more may be able to talk to one of the librarians at

Department of Mathematical Biology. Leeds University.

The Chief Technician at these university departments can be very helpful with intelligent lay people. If you asked nicely, he or she might show you around.

JasonHave you tried asking for some of the capacity that NSA uses to harvest phone messages?...(Sorry, couldn't resist)
